Chanyeol didn’t want a fancy birthday party, but his parents insisted. And so that is why you ended up spending hours getting ready. You looked down at your outfit, making sure it was perfect. You were wearing a cream colored dress that stopped at your knees; your hair was curled and braided to the side. Downstairs, Baekhyun was impatiently waiting for you to come down. After what it had seemed like forever to Baekhyun, you came down the stairs.“How do I look?” You ask as you slowly twirl in a circle.With a sigh, Baekhyun looks up from his feet and focuses his eyes on you. At the sight of you, his eyes grew larger and his lips opened slightly. For the first time in a long time, his heart raced and ringed in his ears. He was speechless.“Baekhyun?” You raised your eyebrow. “Are you okay?” Your eyes met his.“You look…nice,” Baekhyun muttered.Although the compliment was faint and almost inaudible, you were able to make it out.You let out a melodramatic gasp. “Is this a compliment, I hear? From the Byun Baekhyun? Is this a dream?”Baekhyun snaps out of his daze after hearing your laughter. He didn’t like the way you were making fun of him. At that time, an idea of revenge popped into his head and his lips curve up. Instantly, Baekhyun walked towards your direction and your eyes widen as he suddenly pushes you up against the wall. He plants his palm straight onto the hard wall, right next to your face. He fixes a strong gaze on you, his chocolate brown eyes unmoving. You gulp.

“Not so funny now, is it Park Hana?” He whispers into your ear.

You tense up as you feel his breath on your skin. The smell of his cologne is hypnotizing. He is so close to you. Super close. Your heart begins pounding so hard; it feels as though it is about to explode out of your chest at any moment. You can’t think and you can’t move.

"I...uh...Baek..." You are at a loss for words.

Content with your reaction, Baekhyun steps back and gives you a smirk.And in a teasing tone he says, “Let’s go. We don’t want to be late.”
