The Last Kiss (1/1)
Chapter 1 – The Last Kiss “Order up!” Yoona says to her unnie as she handed her the tray of macchiato, and a cold cappuccino. Jessica gets the tray from her dongsaeng’s hands and gives the order to a lovely couple sitting by the window.“Enjoy your drinks, Ma’am and Sir!” She bowed to them and headed back to the cash register and waited for some customers to enter the small tea shop she was working at, owned by Ms. Seo In Young. The harmonious sound of violin that played through their CD player was a relaxation to her ears.Just at sharp 2 o’ clock in the afternoon, the chimes that were hanging on the door made some sounds as a young man in his 20’s entered the tea shop. Jessica was about to ask him his order when she saw the familiar figure of the young man. “Oh Jaejoong Oppa!” She jumped to hug him since he’s quite tall.“I just dropped by to order a fresh from the teapot lemon tea and an icy chocolate shake for the two of us.” He smiled at his girlfriend who was giving off a goofy smile at him. Yoona overheard this from the kitchen and hurriedly prepared the order to give her unnie a break with her boyfriend. She gave them the tray herself and removed her unnie’s apron so that the two would be comfortable. Before going back to the kitchen, Yoona winked at Jessica.“Heh, Yoona is really supportive, isn’t she?” Jaejoong commented as he took a sip of his lemon. Unfortunately, he burnt his tongue.“Oh, careful!” Jessica managed to yell.Yoona, who was watching her unnie’s simple date from the kitchen gave off an “Ooooh, that’s painful” look.“Is it still very painful?” Jessica asked and Jaejoong nodded his head. “Well, let’s just get some toothpaste and ice for that. Wait here.” She dashed to the kitchen and got all the first aid for her boyfriend. She noticed Yoona looking sorry when she was about to go back to their table.“Unnie, I’m so sorry! He ordered for a hot tea!”“Aigoo, don’t worry about it. It’s nobody’s fault, arasseo?”With that, she went back to Jaejoong and gave him what he needed. After a while, he was ok. “You know, I’ll miss having these kinds of dates with you and how you care for me so much.” He said with a bitter smile.Confused, Jessica asked “W-what do you mean?” He held her hand tightly and gave off a sigh. “I have to go to Japan next week.”“What? Why? I-I mean, it’s so sudden a-and—“Jaejoong put his index finger on her lips to shush her inquiries up. “I signed up to have some military training there to prepare myself for my mandatory army service.”“But can’t you have training here?”“My parents advised me to go there.”“Oppa…” As 8 in the evening came, Ms. In Young already told her two workers that they could go home already. Yoona made sure that everything was all right in the kitchen and that the money is safe, while Jaejoong helped Jessica clean the tables. After 10 minutes, Yoona left the establishment and went home. The couple also decided to head home and Jaejoong offered to go with Jessica on her way home. Both held hands and Jessica leaned her little head on his arm since she can’t reach his shoulders. 15 minutes of silence had passed and they arrived at the Jung’s residence. “Good night!” She said cheerfully.“Good night.”Jessica leaned in for a 3-second peck on his lips before going inside her house. He touched his lips once she was out of his sight. He slightly bit his lips before giving off a sad smile. He began coughing hardly like his lungs would pop out probably because of the cold weather. He held his chest and took a glance of her house.I’m sorry, Sica. I hope you’ll forgive me for this.Jaejoong thought as he left the area with tears slowly flowing out of his eyes. --[a/n]So how’d you like the first chapter? :DYeah it’s pretty short since it’s only like an introductory.
