9th Midnight: You woke up (1/1)

I wake up next morning with a strong pressure on my chest and around my hip. When I open my eyes the first thing I see is a hairball on my chest.- Mwoh-ah~! - I moan still half-asleep.LETHyo moves aside and stretches his paws, wagging his tail joyfully. Great, one out. Now I check what the fuck is on my hip that feels so heavy. A leg around my hip. I tilt my head to the side and my nose hits Hyun Ae's slightly. You're too close. Never heard about morning wood, huh? I remove her leg of me but our fingers are still intertwined. She held onto my hand until now.- Hyun Ae-ah~!I pitch her cheek with a evil grin on my face. She moans and frowns, trying to open her eyes.- Wae~! - she whines.- Can you give me back my hand?She opens her eyes, FINALLY!, to meet my eyes staring at her. I'm like an inch away from our noses to touch each other. Slowly, she moves away her face and blinks, trying to adjust her sight. Since I started the trainning with Jiyong-ssi, I feel strange. But, at least, It seems I'm a good player. I don't know why or how but my body knows what to do. So I relax my shoulders and nod, waiting for the pitcher to throw the ball again.This time I send it to fly away. The audience gets scared for a moment, thinking It'll hit them but It flies out the stadium.- Player Park Hyun Ae-ssi just did an homerun for her CUBE team! But... What is this? Hyun Ae-ssi stands right there frozen while everyone runs to Hyun A-ssi! What happened!? - the commenator shouts but I don't hear him.I'm somewhere else...~ Flashback ~It's a sunny day, sunday, game day. I have been in the baseball team since middle school and I'm a good player. But since I got into the high school team, the coach won't allow me to play often. He's the father of Choi Hye Ri, the start in our team.But today she's sick and the coach will allow me to play. It's such a relief, since my father just came from Daegu to see me play.It's my turn to bat so I position myself and take a deep breath, as I hear my father cheering for me. I relax my shoulders and wait for the ball. I hit it at my first try and start to run to reach home before they catch the ball. I hit it really hard so I think I sent it really far, enough to reach home or, at least, the 3rd base.That's why I run with all my will until I trip over when I reach the 2nd base. I fall on my left arm painfully. From the ground, I look up and see a teammate grinning at me, the one who just made me trip.- Hyun Ae! - I hear my father calling my name in agony - Kenchana!?I don't move, embarrassed. I just stay right there, on the ground, face up. I feel tears falling from my eyes, burnning the skin they touch.I want to get up and yell, scream at that girl. Slap her face or ask why, why she did this to me when I'm her teammate and I just did something good for our team when we were losing. But I just get up and drag myself into the locker room, hearing how my father calls my name...~ End of the Flashback ~Again, I stand there watching an injustice. But this time I don't want just to see it from the side, the same I did from the ground. That's why, not thinking of where I am, I throw the bat on the ground, my cheeks burning with rage and my mind clouded by the thougths that I won't leave this slip again, that I won't leave nobody step on me or on these I care for. So I walk decided, determined not to leave that person go easily. Because It's unfair, because I don't like that person and I can't stand her making them suffer. Because I like this people......I'll confront you.oOo ~) Junhyung's POV (~BANG! Hyun Ae sends the ball flying outside the stadium while I watch it open mouthed. Everything gets frozen for a while until I hear Doojoon yelling at Hyun A to run, since she was trapped on the 1st base.I see how she starts to run and then, suddenly, she falls. Everyone gasps and Hyunseung is the first one to leave his position and run to help her, that doesn't move on the ground.Then, my eyes move up a bit and see Hara. And that's when I know she was the one who made Hyun A trip over. I didn't see it because I was too engrossed following the ball with my eyes but It seems everyone saw it since the boos from our fans fills the stadium.I'm about to walk toward Hyun A, Hyunseung and some members of our staff to check If she's ok. But just before I move a foot, my eyes fall on Hyun Ae. She didn't run to Hyun A, she just stood there frozen like me. But her expression is dark and her eyes shines. Is she about to cry? I try to go closer but she throws her bat on the ground with anger and starts to walk with her tyrannosaurus rex steps to the group surrounding Hyun A.I follow her steps but get a shock when she passes them by and approaches Hara. I try to look steady but run toward them anyway. I watch the scene stunned and fascinated by her. The way she approaches Hara and look down on her since she's shorter, how she confronts her. I can't hear what she says to her but I can see Hara's face twisted.Hyun Ae looks damn sexy but scary. If I was in Hara's place I'd be really confused and scared but, as long as the one standing against Hyun Ae's Hara, I don't care of what might happen to her. But I'm worried since Hyun Ae's chest goes up and down in a unsteady pace and she has her hands clentched into tight fists.I run toward them and get in the middle to keep Hyun Ae away from the bug, just in case she might try some of her dirty tricks.- Hyun Ae... - I grab her shoulders.She looks up at me and her scary face disappears. Her eyes go back to their usual feeling, the deep frown fades away too and I see her sad and pleading eyes.- Mianhae... - she whispers.- If this happens again, I'll chase both of you out of the game - the referee hisses.- I don't know why this girl came like this to me - Hara whines - It was an accident.- I saw it, Hara-ssi. This is a charity event - the referee states - Refrain yourself from doing these kind of things.- It won't happen again. I swear - Hara tries her aegyo on the guy.- I want you both out of the flied for 10 minutes. Once you calm down, go back in, arasso? - he stares at Hyun Ae - Take care of her, she doesn't look well.- Huh, arasso.I didn't bother to look at that guy who came to scold them while he was talking, I stared at Hyun Ae all the time. How her face keeps changing from pure rage to an expression which looks like she's about to cry.I drag her to our bench. I feel her so weak under my hands... about to break down at any time. But I still think she was really brave and cool back there, when she stood like a lioness in front of Goo Hara. It's the first time I saw someone do something like that without any hesitation. And It's the first time I see that side of her.- Take her to the locker room and try to calm her down - Doojoon whisper to me.- What about Hyun A? - I asks really worried about her.- She hurt her wrist, nothing serious. She might have to keep it immobilized for a while - he sighs - Hyunseung will take care of her, don't worry - he pats my shoulder - Go in.I nod and take Hyun Ae with me to the empty room. She doesn't want to sit down at first but I force her to do so since she needs to calm down. I offer her a bottle of water and she takes a sip of it.- What get into you? - I try to see her eyes hidden behind the cap - I thought you were about to kill her.- That was my intention until you meddled in - her voice sounds weak.- Really? If we were alone in a alley I'd even help you - I chuckle.- Mianhae... - she whispers again and I see something wet fall on her knee - I'm really sorry.- Hyun Ae... - I remove her cap and meet her eyes filled with tears - Wae... ?- I saw my father... he was there... - she sobs - I just saw that happen again... in front of my eyes...- Slow down there... - Shit! I never knew how to deal with girls crying - Your father? You remembered him?- It's just a memory of him watching me play baseball, pitifully - she smirks.- Wae? You're really good - I hit her shoulder playfully.- A teammate did to me what that chupa-chups girl did to Hyun A - she wipes her tears with her sleeve - And he saw it.- I'm sure he was worried about you and never felt disappointed - I get up and offer her my hand.She hesitates for a second but she takes it and I pull her to stand  by herself- Are you sure? - she finally looks up at my eyes.- Of course - I ruffle her hair - Let's go back and kick some asses.- Arasso - she sobs and laughs at the same time.- And what is that chupa-chups thing? - I frown.- Her head is too big for her body... she looks like a chupa-chups - she explains nonchalant.- Mwoh-ah~!? - I burst into laugh - Are you serious?- Wae~? - she pouts - She really looks like one.- Ara, arasso - I chuckle - Let's go.This is the first time I saw her scariest face, the first time I saw her cry. Even the fans went crazy over her. Some articles came out talking about it, the comfrontation between her and Goo Hara. But our fans took her side and supported her in a strong and scary way. They think about her like an heroine tand like her so much that I don't know what might happen If our relationship, fake relationship, leaks out.- Junhyung~! I'm going to be late~! - Hyun Ae calls me from the door.- Why are you in such a hurry, huh? - I hiss - She won't go anywhere!- I've to be Hyun A's personal assistant until her wrist gets better - she pouts - I can't be late for my first day of work~!That's right. I don't like this... I don't-...- Yoboseyo? Hyun Ae, yoboseyo!? - I yell into the phone.- Annyeong, Junhyung - It's Hara's voice - I've your lovely girlfriend. Come to the address I'll send you in half a hour.- Yah! Wait! Wait-... - I yell again - She hung out.- Goo Hara, right? - Doojoon sighs - I knew something like this would happen.- Hyung!
