Falling In Love All Over (1/1)

I awoke with a start and quickly glanced at my alarm clock. It hadn't even gone off yet. It was seven, half an hour earlier than when I would usually wake up. I gulped and put my hand to my chest. My heart was racing for some reason, I just couldn't put my hand on it. Somehow I felt empty inside, like I longed for something... Maybe I'm just hungry. Unknowingly, I looked out the window to see Hyun Seong not in his bed in his room. I shrugged and shook him out of my head as I yawned and stretched. With me waking up early, a good start to the day, I happily went to the bathroom and prepared for school. I finished brushing my teeth and looked at the time... 7:29... the alarm goes of in 3... 2... 1..."Gah!" Hyun Seong shouted, popping up off the ground. His alarm blared loudly and the sound traveled all the way out of his closed window. I laughed as Hyun Seong hurriedly ran around his room, half asleep, looking for the source of the noise. I chuckled and pulled my shutters down. Idiot.I got dressed in my school uniform and went down for breakfast. After I finished eating, I left the house at exactly eight, the usual time Hyun Mi would come walk with me and Hyun Seong to school. I'm praying that Hyun Seong messed up his hair and had to redo it so we wouldn't have to walk together. I stepped outside and took a deep breath of fall air. October is coming to an end and winter is quickly approaching. I aimlessly stepped out onto the porch, kicking something over. Surprised, I looked down to see a small basket with various items in it. Knowing who it was possibly from, I picked it up and looked through it. A fish bowl. Fish food. Granola bars... breakfast? L-O-L Donghyun, you're weird. Eh, what's this?I dug through the fake leaves ornamenting the basket to see the stuffed Lion from the vending machine. I sat down on my porch stairs, looking at the Lion with fascination.Did he seriously go back just for this? Donghyun... you dummy...I smiled at it. I don't know if it's because he got it for me or what, but that empty feeling I had inside was now filled. I was happier than ever. I held the lion up to the sun and noticed something sparkling in the light. Curiously, I looked closely at the lion's neck, lifting up the fluffs of fur he had. I gasped. There was a couple's ring hanging around his neck.I quickly removed it from the lion's neck and examined it. Sure, it was just a plain silver ring with a heart embossed in it, but I loved it. Inside of the ring, there was an engraving. "I love you infinitely," I read out loud. "How sweet."I slipped the ring on and looked on it on my finger. It fit perfectly. Because my left ring finger was occupied by the engagement ring, I slipped the couple ring onto my right ring finger. I also took out a card in the basket and began reading it out loud to myself."Dear Love,I don't think I'll ever get used to calling you that. Take care of your fishy! I'll take good care of mine. Arrasseo? I hope the ring fits well. Mine has the second half of the quote. Together our rings say, 'I love you infinitely. My heart knows no bounds.' Eat the granola bars and stay healthy! I don't want my fiance becoming a skeleton. x_x! Oh, and I got you the lion you wanted! What shall we name him? Lovingly,Your Secret Admirer," I laughed. Why does he always sign his cards off like that? Seriously, not-so-secret. I should give him a hug for a thank you later!"Oh, ho, another gift basket!" Hyun Mi perked up from next to me."Guh!" I gasped, jumping in my seat. I hadn't realized she appeared. Hyun Mi looked at the card intently, her face contorting into a confused expression. She pointed at the handwriting on the card and looked at me."Hey, isn't thi-," she began."Morning!" Hyun Seong called out from his porch.Hyun Mi stopped in mid sentence and changed her attention to Hyun Seong. I quietly groaned to myself and looked away. I sighed. Maybe it was time to face him and stop hiding. That's what I'll do. I'll talk to him. "Hyun Seong, are you walking to school with us again?" Hyun Mi grinned. "Oh, sure," Hyun Seong replied as he locked his front door. The three of us set off on our trek to school. I nervously walked beside Hyun Mi who stood between Hyun Seong and I. I waited until we reached a crosswalk to make my move. As we crossed, I grabbed Hyun Seong's arm and pulled him back while Hyun Mi walked on. Before she could turn around, the traffic started up again. I turned towards Hyun Seong hesitantly as he looked at me, puzzled."Hyun Seong, I just wanted to say... I'm sorry that I've been avoiding you the last couple of days," I apologized, barely making eye contact. "Rina, just stop. Please don't apologize. I don't want you to apologize for something like this," Hyun Seong said softly, scratching his head. "Let's just... how about we just start over.""Start over?" I asked, glancing at him."Yeah! Let's just forget about what's happened so far. Start fresh. Start new. But this time, we be just friends," Hyun Seong explained.I gulped. I didn't want to be just friends... but I had to do this. I held my hand out."Deal!" I beamed faslely. "My name is Rina, let's be friend? Arrasseo?""You bet!" Hyun Seong chuckled."Yah! Rina! Hyun Seong! You two going to cross or going to wait until a stray car appears and do a little drama scene for me?" Hyun Mi shouted across the street, catching the attention of several pedestrians. Hyun Seong and I looked at each other, laughing, before we skipped over to Rina's side. As we walked on, I skipped ahead like a little school girl, looking at the ground and smiling happily. Being the gossip queen she was, Hyun Mi just had to know what happened. She put her arm out, slowing Hyun Seong down before pulling him aside to have a talk. The look on her face meant serious business, and Hyun Seong knew just what she was going to ask about.Short chappie because I haven't updated in so long!
