It's already 1 am at the dorms. The members are now peacefully sleeping at their own rooms.  Well, not all exactly. Two members are still awake at this very hour. Hyejoo and Chaewon were still playing Mario Kart with their own Nintendo DS.  Playing Mario Kart is the bonding time of these two kids. Hyejoo and Chaewon are the perfect examples of millenials. They would always be in their room and stay up late playing games. They finished a lot of matches already and yet, Hyejoo didn't win even one. Hyejoo wanted to beat her even just once, but Chaewon was just too good at games. Because it's late already, the two decided to have one last match. "Unnie, let's have a bet."  Hyejoo has something in mind. If she actually wins, it will be a win-win situation for her. And what is that? You'll find out once Hyejoo wins. "If I win this match, you will grant a wish of mine and if you win, I'll grant a wish of yours and acknowledge that you're better than me." Hyejoo added. Chaewon thinked about this. "Okay deal Hyejoo. We both know I'm gonna win anyways." Chaewon giggled but still accepted her challenge. Chaewon's character would always be Princess Peach because she's her favorite character and Hyejoo would just choose random characters in hopes of winning against Chaewon, but this time, she chose Mario. "I'll beat you this time unnie!" Hyejoo said with confidence. "We'll see about that."  Chaewon just smirked. She treats herself as the queen of video games and consoles. She knew Hyejoo cannot beat her. The match has started. Both were focused and determined this time. This match is different from their earlier matches. A bet is made. They both want to win. The game went on with Chaewon leading. After some minutes, It was now on the last lap. Chaewon was still leading. Hyejoo was slowly losing hope but what would she gain from giving up? She focused on the game more and thought of how she would surpass her leading unnie. She was really determined to win this. The match between the two was heating up. Hyejoo was so close to catch up with Chaewon.  "Come on. Come on." Hyejoo mumbled and boy, she was really determined. Soon, Hyejoo finally catched up. Hyejoo was finally leading. After a few turns and car bumps from Chaewon, Hyejoo finally arrived at the finish line, at 1st place. Her heart was pounding from excitement and happiness.  The thought of beating Chaewon isn't actually the reason behind what she felt, but it was because of the wish she would ask from her unnie. Even Chaewon couldn't believe it. She was not angry or mad, she was just surprised that Hyejoo beat her at a game, but after all, she was happy for Hyejoo. "I told you I'm gonna win Chaewon unnie. Ha! take that!"  Hyejoo teased her unnie. "Fine Hyejoo, you won. Now that wish? I am not one to break promises. I'll grant whatever that wish is." Chaewon just smiled at Hyejoo. That smile never failed to make Hyejoo's heart beat fast. Hyejoo was nervous. Is she finally going to tell this? Hyejoo thought of their relationship right now. Her wish might ruin the friendship that they have right now but she realizes that she needs this. Chaewon would grant that wish anyways. It was now or never. "..." Hyejoo was still taking her time but Chaewon is just patiently waiting for that wish. "Chaewon." Hyejoo finally spoke but what's surprising was Hyejoo dropping honorifics and not calling Chaewon "unnie". That was the first time. Chaewon was shocked for a bit but she actually liked it. "Hmmm?" Chaewon was still anticipating. Hyejoo took both of Chaewon's hands and looked at her straight in the eyes.                                      "Be my girlfriend." Hyejoo's heart was beating so fast because of extreme nervousness. Chaewon wasn't responding. She was shocked. She expected that Hyejoo's wish would be dares that would make Chaewon look or do dumb things just like what high schools and other kids do nowadays. Hyejoo took Chaewon's silence the wrong way. Hyejoo thought, why would Chaewon like her anyway? She's a girl. She's just a dongsaeng in the eyes of Chaewon. She's not friendly and showy to her feelings and emotions. Just by the thoughts of these things, tears were already forming in her eyes, her heart was already shattering. Not until-                                              Chaewon kissed her on the lips.  It was just a smack but that never failed to bring a great effect to Hyejoo. Her heart was beating extremely fast. She felt like there were fireworks in her stomach. Hyejoo was shocked. Her jaw literally dropped. She thanked God that the room was dark or Chaewon would've have seen her blushing face. Hyejoo was confused. She wanted to ask what was that for but no words were coming from her mouth. Chaewon wiped Hyejoo's tears with her thumbs. Chaewon sweetly smiled at her. Hyejoo felt herself smiling too after seeing that. "You don't need to win a game for you to ask that silly!" Chaewon just giggled at Hyejoo. That didn't lessen her confusion. Hyejoo still wasn't talking and just anticipated for Chaewon's next words. "Even if you don't win any games against me, I would be willing and I would love to be your girlfriend. I love you so much Hyejoo." Hyejoo saw the love in Chaewon's eyes. She hugged her real tight to express how happy she was. Hyejoo really loves this unnie.  They remained in that position for a minute or two until Chaewon decided to break it off. "It's getting late Hyejoo. Let's go to sleep. Jiwoo and Sooyoung unnie might scold us." Hyejoo agreed and nodded.  The two girls layed on their bed. Hyejoo tried to be confident. She reached for Chaewon's hand and intertwined them. Chaewon looked at her and smiled. Chaewon hugged her and snuggled closer Hyejoo's neck. Hyejoo put her arm around Chaewon's small waist. "Goodnight my baby wolf." Chaewon said to Hyejoo. That endearment was so pleasing to Hyejoo's ears. Her heart was beating fast and Chaewon could feel it. "Goodnight my princess. I love you." Hyejoo replied and kissed Chaewon's forehead. Hyejoo's action made Chaewon smile. "I love you too."  Chaewon said before sleep dawned upon her. Chaewon was now asleep. Hyejoo didn't really care about winning anyways. She just wanted to spend her time with the girl that she loves and seeing Chaewon be happy everytime she wins also makes her happy. She needs to thank that Mario Kart game. It made a strong friendship between and even bloomed feelings that were further and deeper than that. Thanks to that bet also that made a change between them. An even better change. She didn't really care about the game anymore if she loses the next time they play again. She may lose against Chaewon all the time but what's important is, she won a greater prize in life. Just like Mario have won Princess Peach' love, Hyejoo won Chaewon's heart, and that is the prize that she would never ever lose and exchange for anything. The both of them are now finally asleep and are cutely cuddling. The next days would surely be different, but it is indeed a great beginning for them.
