[M] The Fight (1/1)

Choi SeyoungThe wedding party was still going on and I couldn’t hold the tiredness any longer as I sat on the corner of the hall. After the flight, we got our rooms, and then headed to the church to have the marriage procession, and then continued with the party. The bride and groom were indeed such youth since the party hadn’t ended yet even though it had been past midnight. My head got so much dizzy. When I sipped my soda, I saw my dad waved his hand to me. I groaned inwardly while rolling my eyes, but I ended up standing on my feet. Thank God, I just wore a dress up to knee, so I could move easily.“Yes, dad?” I asked while walking to his direction.“Yah, here she is…,” My dad reached his hand to hug my bare shoulder since the dress just had laces. “She is my oldest daughter, Choi Seyoung…,” My dad said to the man who stood in front of him. I eyed the man –a man whose age probably similar with me, wearing a neat suit, his hair looked so damn neat and I could guarantee he must have been one of the sons of my dad’s colleague.I nodded while forcing a smile. “Do you remember her, right, Shin?”Shin? I took a peek at the man. Shit. He was the one dad wanted me to engage with. The man nodded while smiled toward me. I plastered a poker face. I didn’t want to show to him that I hated him the most –which I didn’t want to meet him.“Well then, I will leave both of you.” Dad said. “Have a nice talk, you two.” He patted Shin’s shoulder before leaving both of us.“Hi, Seyoung.” Shin said while offering his hand to get shaken. I shook the hand lazily. “How is life?” He asked.“Good.” I said, uninterested.“Wanna have some walk?” Shin asked. “I saw a beautiful garden outside.” He continued. “It’s been such long time I haven’t met you.”“Oh yeah.” I replied, while rolling my eyes.“You get prettier, don’t you?” He said while motioned me to follow him getting out from the hall. Once again, I just rolled my eyes upon hearing his words. “But, you get a lot tinier, Seyoung.” He gazed me, from my toes to my head. Those eyes, disgusting! He opened the door and the night breeze hit my face. It was so damn cold. Yeah, it was autumn. “Look, this is a beautiful garden, right?” He said, mesmerized by the garden in front of us.This is just a garden. Nothing special. I growled to myself inwardly. He kept talking on and on, about this, about that, and I just huffed, nodded, rolled my eyes, until he asked me to sit on the bench, near the edge, where we could see the ocean. Yes, the hall of the wedding party located on the seashore so we could see the ocean in close distant.I sat awkwardly beside Shin. I actually remembered Shin, how he was friend with me, and how funny he was back then. But now, he was just like the other men who worked his hell off for his family’s company. He had no personal dream. He just blindly accepted what his family wanted him to be, to inherit the business and eventually marry to a daughter of one of his family’s company colleagues, just for company importance, sharing the stake, and money, and succeed. Tch. Rubbish.“I heard you have been kicked from home, Seyoung?” Shin uttered while spreading his hand on the arm of the bench and straightened his back. “Why you choose to be a writer though?” He muttered while glanced at me. I glanced back at him. “You can work on your dad’s company.” He added. “That’s not that hard. Look at me.”I scoffed while crossing my legs. “Why do you care?” I asked. “It’s none of your business, by the way.” I said.“Of course it’s my business…,” Shin said, “…listen, I will give you an offer.”I gazed him, scrunched my nose while muttering, “What offer?”“You marry me and you can work as a writer.” He said, while leaning in closer toward me. I blinked my eyes, when he got so many inches closer to my face. I stopped him by resting my hand on his chest. He looked at me, with those lusty eyes.I cleared my throat as I distanced few inches away from him. “What are you saying?” I hissed. “Excuse me? Marry me? Who you are? Please remind me again.” I pushed him off but he leaned in more, and his hand held my back.“Seyoung…,” He whispered, “…do you know you are so popular among us, we all want to date you…,” He said, leaning in forward, I swear I could feel his breath on my face, when I closed my eyes frightened. “Why is it so hard to just give me a kiss?” He murmured. “I am going to be your fiancée after all.” He said.I hung my head low while pushed him as far as I could. “Who said I will be your fiancée?” I yelped while facing him. I gasped when realized that his face too damn close with mine, and within an inch I be
