TWENTYONE - Not Alone (1/1)
Chapter TWENTY ONE.
Not Alone. 20Nov2010 Saturday, 3pm, Seoul Theatre
[3rd person's POV]It was almost five months since SS501 was broke up, well, at least they don't feel that they are broken up, it was just temporary. Like what they have all promised their fans, they will be coming back, soon, and they wanted them to wait for them, and to continue giving them all their support. It may be a year, or two, or five, but they will comeback as one.Jung Min, out of the five members, was the fastest to get working on his solo career. He signed on with CNr Media and have been working hard on his vocal trainings as he was about to release a solo single of his own.His album is titled Not Alone, maybe he wanted to comfort himself that despite leaving SS501, but he still believe that he is not alone facing the harsh and cruel world out there, he still has his family, his fans, and most importantly, his hyungs and maknae who are also on the same boat as him. For that, he is not alone and he shouldn't give up, they must fight for it!Well, back to the album, it was initially scheduled to release in November, but due to the Korean conflicts, the company have decided to push it back till January the next year. That was totally fine with him, there was not much difference, he thought. But on this very special day, he has had a surprise for a very special girl in his life, none other than So-Min. Today is her birthday, and she seemed to have forgotten all about it, but Jung Min has installed a small surprise for the girl."You will sit here and wait for me, araso?" Jung Min ordered as he led So-Min to a row of seats in the theatre.So-Min, didn't understand what is happening, simply nodded and sat down in the middle row of the hall. She thought they were here to watch some play, but are they too early? There were no other audience except for her."Oppa?" She didn't knew where Jung Min went to."That bastard, is he going to play some tricks again?" She thought quietly to herself and pouted. The theatre is in deadly silence and there is no one around, she had no idea why he wanted to bring her there that day.Suddenly, the lights on the stage was turned on, and a figure stepped out of the curtains and allow the golden yellow lights shine brightly on him."Oppa!" She was taken aback by surprise."Today," Jung Min took a deep breath before continuing, "I want to dedicate this song for a very special girl in my life. So-Min ah, saengil chukahamnida, hope you will like it. Thank you for making me feel that I'm NOT ALONE."A few of the dancers took their place on stage, Jung Min took his place in the middle. The music started and the sound of the violins echoed through the air.So-Min laughed as Jung Min started dancing. This is the first time she see his dance. Moreover, that dance was meant to be for her only."So I can believe I’m not alone
Not alone now, not sad anymore
And I can feel it I’m not alone
Definitely not alone, never be exhausted againNow never again down down down down no! no! no! no!
down down down down no! no! no! no!
Even if more time passes by, I’m not alone
Because of you alone I can believe." His voice echoed through the air, forceful yet sweet. She have always liked his voice, be it his solo songs or the harmony in SS501 songs, his voice is deep and it gave her warmth.Unknowingly, So-Min began to feel tears welling up in her eyes. The song brought back too much of her memories...Five years ago, she quit school and came alone to Seoul to work and have to live on simple meals everyday so she could save up the money and send them back to her hometown. She was born in a poor family with two younger brothers, and as the oldest, she have to give up her everything. When her brothers are young, she have to take time off her busy homework and school activities to cook for them and take care of them. But depite that, she still did her best in her work and she score well in every test. But she is made to give up everything..."It‘s such a pity. You could have easily make it to a good University if you continue your effort." Her teacher commented when she told her that she is going to drop out of school. At that time, she is only 15.Lucky for her, she found a job through a friend living in Seoul and became the barista of Happiness Cafe. She has always felt lonely in this unfamiliar city, but not until she met him.Park Jung Min, you‘re the one who made me not alone. She smiled and drew herself back to reality. She is well and living now, she has friends and job, and she is happy, what else can she ask for? She wiped her tears away and focused on the stage again, but the performance has ended and it is dark there.Jung Min? Where is Jung Min oppa?Or was she dreaming a moment ago? If she is, she would rather not wake up from the dream. [So-Min‘s POV]"Hush, don‘t cry." I didn‘t know when Jung Min oppa appeared beside me. "Wae. Why are you crying?Did I do anything wrong?" He thought it was his fault that made me cry."I was moved to tears." I lied. But that was somehow true too."Do you like the song?" Jung Min asked me excitedly.I nodded hardly, "Jung Min oppa." I didn‘t know why, but I lunged forward to give him a tight hug."Wae, So-Min..." Maybe he thought I was going to cry again so he wrapped his arms around me and patted me on the back."Thanks for making me not alone."
