Hero (1/1)
"Wha- Haera!!" Kyungsoo exclaimed when her body grew limp, before toppling down on top of him. "Oh God, hold on Haera." Kyungsoo whispered as he carried her bridal style to his car. "If I take her home to her apartment.... Oh but I don't know her keycode." He mumbled thoughtfully as he started the engine. He looked at Haera's unconcious figure beside him. "You don't mind staying at my place for one night right? Afterall, I am your fake boyfriend." Kyungsoo studied her face. Her nose was red. Her lips were pale. "I was driving down the road when I suddenly saw Suho opening his car door for Chaerin. I knew that probably something went wrong. My instincts told me to look for you. I kept on driving and a few minutes later I found you, standing under the rain, probably waiting for him." Kyungsoo paused. "But he isn't gonna come. He's off with Chaerin." He gingerly lifted a hand to stroke Haera's hair. "You really love him don't you?" He whispered softly. Kyungsoo smiled sadly. "And I really don't have a chance?" He fixed his eyes on the road. After tonight.. Maybe he'd have a chance? Maybe Haera would come to like him? He would be her hero tonight, and just like in he movies she'd fall for him. But Kyungsoo knew he was only feeding himself with lies. From the way Haera looked at Suho, the way her eyes lit up whenever she saw him.. Kyungsoo knew he would never stand a chance. She was way too in love with him, Kyungsoo thought. But Suho has been continously turning her down for other girls, and to leave her alone in the pouring rain was just ... A little mean. "If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to hug, I'll always be right here." Kyungsoo said softly to himself, zooming across the highway as fast as he could. A few minutes later, he had reached his apartment. Carrying her limp body in his arms, Kyungsoo walked to the elevator. He pressed his floor number and patiently waited. Upon the ding Kyungsoo stepped out and hurriedly walked to his unit. He punched in his keycode and flung the door open. Kyungsoo laid her down on his bed. "I need to take her wet clothes off." Kyungsoo said to himself. He gulped and unbuttoned the first button of Haera's dress shirt. Kyungsoo's eyes involuntarily traveled to Haera's chest. Her wet shirt was clinging to it, making the contours of her mounds more visible. The boy felt something in his southern region twitch a bit. Kyungsoo held his breath as he averted his eyes, but unfortunately his gaze landed on her slim, long legs instead. "Oh my God." Kyungsoo slapped himself. He took multiple deep breaths before getting up to turn the lights off. He slowly walked back to his bed, carefully trying to not bump into any furnitures. He resumed unbuttoning Haera's shirt, throwing it to the laundry basket afterwards. He stripped her out of her skirt too in the dark, also throwing it to the laundry basket. Kyungsoo got up and took a bowl filled with warm water and a towel. He placed it on Haera's forehead, pressing it lightly. "Nggh," Haera groaned, stirring beneath him. "H-hey.." Kyungsoo began slowly. "Where am I? Why is it so dark? " Haera asked weakly. "Oh God, why am I half naked?! Shit.. No.. No it can't b--" she cried, raising her voice. "Sshh, calm down." Kyungsoo said softly. "Kyungsoo? What happened?! Did you.." "No. You fainted right after I found you, so I brought you to my apartment. I.. Stripped you out of your clothes but with the lights off. Really!!" Kyungsoo explained. "I'm sorry but I couldn't let you stay in your wet clothes like that!! You probably shouldn't stay in your wet under garments too but I.. Hehe.. I couldn' t.." Haera was touched at how kind and gentlemanly Kyungsoo was. She now knew that Kyungsoo was probably one of the most trustworthy man on the planet. "Kyungsoo.. Thank you very much." She said softly, squeezing his hand. "Thank you for being such a gentleman, really. Thanks for taking care of me and not leaving me in the middle of the pouring rain like.." Haera chuckled bitterly at the memory. "No problem." Kyungsoo smiled. "So are you in love with me yet now?" He asked jokingly. "Are you ready for the answer?" Haera asked back. Kyungsoo chuckled sadly. "Nope." "I'm sorry." Haera whispered. "I don't know.. I.. But you know if Suho keeps on being a bitch like this.. And if you're still there for me then.. Who knows what might happen." Haera joked. "You're just gonna cry on my shoulder for nights, that's what gonna happen." Kyungsoo said matter-of-factly. "Yah, that's not what I meant... I.. You know.. Maybe I could.. Never mind. I'm sorry I.. You're just someone very special to me okay Kyungsoo? You're sweet and kind and cute and wonderful. I'm very thankful to have someone like you in my life." Haera admitted. Kyungsoo's heart skipped a beat. Maybe he had a chance..? "I know right." Kyungsoo joked, laughing. "How did you find me?" "I.. I was just driving home and I happened to see Sonsaengnim opening his car door for Chaerin." Kyungsoo admitted. "My instincts told me that something probably went wrong and that I had to look for you. And I'm glad I did. You were still waiting for him under the pouring rain without an umbrella." Haera felt that familiar numb feeling that she felt earlier today again. "You saw him.. Going into his car with her? He even opened the door for her?" She asked weakly. She knew she didn't want to hear the answer but.. "I.. Yeah. Although I'm sure it's all Chaerin's doing again, I mean, Sonsaengnim wouldn't cheat on you. He loves you very much." "Kyungsoo.. What do I do now?" Haera asked helplessly. "He's been continuously putting Chaerin before me.. And I'm not even sure if he still loves me-" her words were cut short as she erupted into a helpless sobbing fit. "Listen to me Haera. He loves you. The only problem with him is that he's really too nice sometimes." Kyungsoo said. He can't believe he's actually counselling the woman of his dreams on her own love life right now. Life is really a bitch sometimes. "B-but.." Haera said, her lips trembling, "if he loves me then why did he run away with her like he never saw me?! Why did he drive her home and leave me in the pouring rain?!" Kyungsoo was silenced too. Why indeed. "I hate him!! Ish!! Why is he so mean?!?!" He could only stroke Haera's cold hand sympathetically as she stiffled her sobs with her other hand, trying to calm herself down. Kyungsoo's heart squeezed. "If only you were with me.. Haera.. I'll definitely never let these things happen to you." He whispered sadly as he continued stroking her arm."I heard that dummy." Haera hiccuped. Kyungsoo froze. "I'm asking myself the same question too right now. Why can't I just.. I mean I really like you!! I do!! But.. I.. Um, ""You like Sonsaengnim more." Kyungsoo chuckled. "How long are you gonna let him put your name second?" Second. She was always second huh? Why was she always second? "I.. I.. " she started shaking again as more tears rolled down her eyes. "Shit, I just made everything worse." Kyungsoo cussed. "I'm so sorry.. oh God, Haera please don't cry." He whispered, hugging her.Haera quickly calmed down again and cleared her throat. "Cry some more if it makes you feel better." Kyungsoo gently coaxed. "No. Crying is a waste of time because it won't change anything." Haera said firmly, wiping her eyes. "Can I shower here please? At least that will do me some good." Kyungsoo marveled at how strong Haera was. "Of course!! Here, put this on before you get up." Kyungsoo hurriedly threw a t shirt thrice her size at her. "Thank you." She said gratefully, slipping it on. Kyungsoo led her to the bathroom and let her do her stuff. Haera washed her rainwater-soaked hair and body with Kyungsoo's lavender smelling soap and shampoo. She smiled a bit to herself. Lavender. It was the air freshener Suho used in his car. But Suho himself was more of a citrus smelling guy. Twenty minutes later Haera walked out in the oversized tee and a towel wrapped on her head. "I'm sorry I don't have a hairdryer.. Cos my hair dries really fast cos it's short and I
