CHAPTER FOUR  “OH.MY.KRISSUS.” “KRIS, WHAT THE HELL?!” “KRIS FTW!” “YEY!!!!!” “WOAH!” “KRIS, YOU ALREADY.” They arrived after a long three-hour ride and were presented by a mansion-by-the-beach. Who wouldn’t be surprised after seeing a humungous mansion lying on the beach, overlooking the beautiful horizon beyond Seoul and facing clear blue seawater? No one. Right, no one. “Wu Fan, you didn’t tell me about this, did you?” Lay asked in awe as he tried to remember if this is one of Wu’s properties. “I didn’t. Xing, this is actually from my late grandparents and is a wedding gift for my parents.” Kris humbly said as he put his bags on his back. ---- “Lay, do you need help?” Lay momentarily stopped his search as he looked at Suho behind him. “No. I think I can handle this.” The barista continued what he’s doing but insisting Suho preferred to join him anyway. “C’mon, tell me. What are you actually finding here?” Suho inspected Lay luggage while the latter scratched the back of his head in shame. “It’s my phone. I think I either lost it or I forgot to bring it. Aish!” He angrily punched his bag as he tried hard to think if he brought it or not. “I think you have it. You played with it lately, remember?” Lay then lighted up in hope as he remembered he was playing with it earlier. “Ah, I know what to do. I’ll just try to call it. Wait, is your phone in silent mode?” Lay shook his head as Suho dialed his(Lay’s number). A ringtone was heard not far from them and they quickly opened each bags to see where it’s coming from. Until suddenly, a unicorn-cased cellular phone fall from Lay’s cargo pants. And oh. He forgot, it was there all the time. ---- “Jongdae, who are you texting?” Minseok tried to sneak a look on Jongdae’s phone but the server’s reflexes are fast enough for him to dodge Minseok. “Yah! Don’t intrude someone’s private space Min. And she is Tiffany. I heard she can sing well.” Jongdae explained as Minseok stopped mid-air on biting his bun as realization hit him. “T—Tiffa—Tiffany?! As in, Tiffany Hwang?!” Jongdae nonchalantly nodded and Minseok could only hope the best for his best friend. “You’re just a past time. Honestly, you bore me. Goodbye, Bao zi.” Minseok quickly swiped the liquid that fell from his left eye as he remembered that day; the day he hated to death the name Tiffany Hwang. ---- “Duizhang!” Tao loudly whispered to Kris. “What?” Kris asked confusedly but instead, he saw the smile that makes his stomach spin uncomfortably. “Tao’s eyes said they want this.” The younger showed a scratched magazine page and pointed on a certain bag at the corner labeled “New Arrivals”. “A Gucci Bag? That’s nice Tao, I see you have a good taste. So when will you buy that one?” Kris continued to walk and Tao needed to half-walk, half-run to catch up. “That’s the thing Duizhang. My parents didn’t support me with this! They’re so mean!” Kris halted making Tao bump his nose with the general manager’s bag. “So, how will you buy it?” Tao then exhaustedly sighed as he slipped the cut out back to his Gucci travel bag. “I don’t know. Maybe, I’ll just let it pass. My savings are not enough though, maybe I’ll just let it haunt me every night in my dreams.” He adjusted his bag as he continued to walk in a hunched manner, but Kris stopped him. “Wait. I’ll buy it.” Kris said, making Tao’s face turn bright, but frowned again afterwards. “But you don’t have to. You’ll already buy me one, so you don’t have to, really. And, besides, I have no money to pay you back.” Tao stated mournfully, thinking, he’ll be in a big debt if ever he made Kris buy it. “Tao, this is also a part of my peace-offering so you don’t have to worry. But let’s see, if you really want to pay me back, then why don’t you try not to be late too often? So, yes, or yes?” Tao thought of it for a moment before he nodded. Kris held a hand on Tao, and the younger gladly shook it with his. It’s a deal. ---- “Baekhyun, do you know what this place is?” Chanyeol asked. “Yes, this is where we’ll spend our vacation.” Chanyeol eyed Baekhyun for a moment before the latter shrugged and looked at him in return. “I don’t know Chanyeol, I fell asleep while we’re travelling.” They looked around trying to see any landmarks or street signs but stopped after a while after realizing they’re at a beach. They’re at a beach soooooooooo far from the city. “Baekhyun, do you think we’ll enjoy this vacation?” “You know Chanyeol, I think I could live for a day without technology. Just ask me that question again tomorrow and we’ll see.” ---- “Lulu~” Luhan rubbed his eyes as he felt a finger poking his cheeks. “What?” He sleepily asked Sehun who’s already sipping his chocolate-flavored bubble tea. “We’re here. Do you want to go now inside?” Sehun pointed at the mansion and Luhan rubbed his eyes more as he looked around. “Oh my God. Sehun, are we at the beach?!” Sehun nodded. Luhan then got out of the car and jumped happily on the white sand not caring anymore about his black skinny jeans. “Hannie, get back here.” Luhan then skipped happily back to the car where Sehun’s at. “Yes, Hunnie?” Sehun then glanced on the bags beside his and Luhan’s seats and looked at the older. “Oh, haha. I forgot.” Luhan grinned on Sehun and they got their bags out of the car before going to Wu’s mansion. ---- “Jongin, I’ll carry that.” Kyungsoo said for the umpteenth time as he tried to snatch back his bag that was taken away by a volunteering Jongin. But Jongin’s too stubborn to follow his hyung. “No. Khyung, you don’t have to carry this. Besides, you already have one for yourself, and my bag’s not even heavy, so it’s okay.” Truth is, Jongin’s bag is heavy but he just feels like helping Kyungsoo so he lied. The older didn’t believe Jongin because he keeps on readjusting both bags on his back indicating that he’s indeed carrying too much. “Jongin.” The said boy stopped walking as he felt Kyungsoo halt. “What? Are you tired, Khyung?” Jongin’s about to approach Kyungsoo and get the luggage from the older, when Kyungsoo stood in front of him. “No, I’m not tired Jongin. But you are, and I know it.” Jongin felt surprised and shocked as Kyungsoo wiped his sweat with his towel. “There, better.” Kyungsoo managed to steal his bag from a dazed Jongin, but because Jongin’s stronger than Kyungsoo, he stole it again from him. “Khyung, I told you, I can do it. C’mon, I’m sure they’re only waiting for us now.” Jongin’s about to grab Kyungsoo arm but instead, he felt a handle touch his hand, and before he knew it, he’s already holding Kyungsoo’s luggage and the older’s bag gone from his back. “Khyung—“ “Well, if you really insist on helping me, there. I will let you pull that luggage instead of my backpack. You’re a dancer Jongin, and I’m sure stressing your back will not be good for you.” Kyungsoo then grabbed Kai’s hands as he pulled him to continue with their walk. Jongin studied their linked hands for a moment before smiling gently. He caught up with Kyungsoo’s pace with no much effort and unlinked their hands as he used the said hand to wrap it around Kyungsoo’s small, but adorably fitting frame. Kyungsoo feels secured around Kai’s arms and he then put the hand used earlier to wrap it around Kai’s waist and pulls him closer. Yes, they could still feel the weird sensations but preferred that since it’s their vacation, why not try not to think about it. Let alone their bodies act and care less with what they’re doing. Besides, they like it. They like what they’re feeling but are just too confused with it. ----END
