Kyuhyun’s POVI hang up the phone after talking to Hae and let out a heavy sigh. “I’m so sorry Hae. You’re my bestfriend, yet I went behind your back and did this while you’re away. I’m truly sorry.” I said out loud and heard a sigh behind me. I turn around to see Minnie standing at the door. “Minnie, when did you get here?” I ask as he closes the door and lock it. I’m at my company office right now. “I’ve just got here Kyu. Did you talk to Hae?”I nod my head at him and he sighs again. “I am really dreading his return here to Korea Kyu. I don’t know how to face him.” I went over and hug him. “We’ll face him together. Hae will understand our position. I’m sure we can do something about this engagement.” I said softly and Minnie looks at me. “You think he’ll break it off?”“I don’t know if he can but I hope he will. I will try my best to convince him. It’s not just him we have to talk to Minnie. We have to talk to your parents and Hae has to talk to his parents as well.” Minnie turns his back to me and looks outside the window. “Baby, we will work it out somehow. I promise I’ll do all it takes so we can be together. I love you Minnie.” He turns his head to look at me with teary eyes. “Then why didn’t you say anything to me before I got engage Kyu? You and Hae both knew me before my engagement. Our family did businesses together, why didn’t you say anything then?” He raises his voices at me out of frustration and buries his face in his hands crying.There was nothing I could do but pulls his fragile frame into my arms as he sobs on my chest. “Shhh Minnie…baby don’t cry….ssshhhh….”I keep whispering soothing words to him until I feel he’s calmed down. I pull back and wipe his tears with my thumbs. “I didn’t say anything because I was afraid of your rejection. I saw how friendly you and Hae were and how everyone always said you two make a perfect couple, so I kept silent. I thought you like Hae.” He gave a few sniff before focusing his eyes on my face. “I was friendly with him because you rarely talk to me. But Hae changes so much after the engagement was announced. He becomes distant, more cold toward me and doesn’t’ talk to me as much as we used to. The engagement somehow makes the friendship between me and Hae worse instead of better.”I lead him to the couch to sit down. “I know. You told me and I suspect that Hae didn’t approved of the arrangement.” Minnie nods his head. “Is that why you confessed to me? Knowing Hae doesn’t love me?” He asks and I nod my head. “Yes, I don’t want to snatch you away from him if he loves you. If you two really love each other and were happy, I wouldn’t have said anything.” I look down and Minnie cupped my face. “I’m glad you confessed to me Kyu. The times spend with you are some of the happiest times in my life. I love you Kyuhyun.”I lean in to give him a short kiss and I can feel him smiling into the kiss. “I love you two Minnie. I called Hae today and told him I want to talk to him. He said he’ll meet me this weekend. Do you want to go with me? You don’t have to if you don’t want to.” I caress his face as he rests his head on my shoulder. “I want to be there with you. I can’t let you face Hae alone. If he wants to get angry at us, then so be it. When my parents come back for New Year, I’ll tell them about us. I want to break off this engagement.
