In the Depths of Hell (1/1)
It’s been three weeks since Bakehyun’s incident with the doctor, earning him a room in the local mental hospital. Despite the hurt and embarrassment in his parent’s part, they’d decided that it was for the best, after all. Nothing good would come to them if they leave him at home. Atleast in the hospital, he won’t be able to hurt anyone else. Doctor Wu had offered to continue serving as Baekhyun’s doctor. Noone knew why, exactly. Revenge, maybe ? It wasn’t in his nature to take revenge. Maybe he really just wanted to help him. “What do we do ?” , Baekhyun’s umma asked in a whisper as she watched her son being interviewed once again behind the glass window on the door. Doctor Wu furrowed his brows and scanned through the notes he carried. “Let him stay here for a few months. We’ll see if there will be any . . changes.” She nodded and thanked the doctor before leaving the hallway to the arms of her husband, who was just as worried as she was. Over the past few weeks, nothing much has changed in Baekhyun’s condition. He still talks about ‘Chanyeol’ and his imaginary world where, as he says, he will never be hurt. The doctors would listen and nod in pretence. They would constantly whisper ‘there is no Chanyeol’ s but it would often result to Baekhyun’s tantrums and meltdowns. Ofcourse , it was tiring just to get him to calm down. They decided to just mention it a few times a week. It was on an early Sunday morning when Baekhyun had an unexpected interview session. Almost everyone was still asleep, giving the doctor a chance to talk to Baekhyun privately. “Tell me more, anything, about Chanyeol, Baekhyun. I want to know more about him,” he tried to persuade him. Baekhyun shifted his gaze to the doctors level. His eyes had big dark circles under them and there was an obvious look of tiresome on his face. His arms were bound together as he used his feet to push himself to the corner of the room. “There’s nothing to tell.” “You said, before, that Chanyeol’s second rule was to not let anyone hurt you, right? If I hurt you , would Chanyeol come and save you?” Bakehyun stared in fury. He clenched teeth and growled at the man. “Would he, now?” Before he knew it, a slap had striked his soft face and stung his cheeks red. The doctor was laughing at him histerically as he patted his cheeks. “Get over it , Baekhyun. There’s no—“ A hand had gripped the doctor’s wrist and twisted it frantically. He screamed in pain as a sharp snap echoed the room. Red splattered the white walls . There was a loud thud as the doctor fell to his knees and begged for mercy . He was kicked against the wall and he was already coughing out blood. He looked up at the person who did this monstrous thing to him, finding a man with white sleeves and a vest and caramel colored hair. He leaned down to the doctors level and put on a smirk, poking the injured arm . “Serve’s you right,” he said quietly as he wrapped his long fingers around the doctors bloodstained neck. He mercilessly tightened his grip. The doctor choked and fought for air. Not too long after, his body went limp and lifeless. The murderer smiled and carefully closed the blank eyes that were staring right at him. “Chanyeol . . .” Baekhyun whispered and stared at the bloody man in his room. “You killed him.” Chanyeol turned to look at Baekhyun , who wore a blank face. “He hurt you, Baekhyun. I broke the second rule.” He sat beside the trembling boy and placed a hand on his flushed cheek. “One more rule and I’m gone. You understand, don’t you?” Baekhyun nodded hesitantly and stiffened , still staring at the body. “I knew you would,” said Chanyeol. He wrapped his arms , that were now crimson colored, around the boy and pressed his lips just against his forehead. Baekhyun only meant to hurt. He never wanted to kill. “What are you talking about?” “I’m sayin’ , that Baek kid did nothin’. I watched ‘em camera footage and I’m tellin’ ya , Baek was just sittin’ there the whole time while doc flung himself across
