Morning (1/1)
“Taemin! Wake up!” He heard his mother calling him from the kitchen, just like any other day. He was so used to it that it almost became boring. Every day the same thing, over and over again. His mother would wake up at 6AM for some reason, she would make breakfast for the family and probably iron a shirt she needed or her husband. Then his father would wake up, do some stretching in the bedroom, close himself in the bathroom for good 30minutes and would come out of it fully dressed in one of his many dark suits. After that, he would join his wife, who was already finishing her meal, in the kitchen. He would give her a good morning kiss full of love and happiness and then he would read the paper and eat as he waited for his wife to get ready so they could leave together. His parents had this routine for as long as he can remember and for what he remembers, they were incredibly happy with it. They were probably doing it before he was born, but then again, his father always told him not to touch what was already perfect. And even if Taemin was bored of that, even if he didn’t understand why his parents would do it over and over again without getting tired, he had to admit that it always brought a smile to his face when he saw the love in his parents’ eyes. They looked like two high school students finding love for the first time and he couldn’t help but stay in his little corner and love every second of it.“Taemin! Wake up!” This time his mother sounded a little louder than before. It probably meant that she was already done with her make-up and that the whole coffee that filled that huge mug of hers was already gone. It also meant that he had two seconds to get up before she entered his room, opened the windows and allowed that annoying morning light enter his room. And he really wasn’t in the mood for that to happen.Having that light hit his eyes was like burning fire and made him curse every single human being in the world. But it was always better than having his father waking him up. His father would put this mean, deep voice and if Taemin didn’t wake up, he was pretty sure he was going to regret it. Not that his father would do or say anything. It was just the voice that was scary as hell. Not wanting to make his parents pissed or himself, he got up from his very warm bed and decided that he should just get dressed in his uniform before he lost all the warmness he still had in his body. “Cold, cold, cold!” He complained as he started taking off his pajama pants and started looking for his uniform. He was pretty sure he left them on his desk chair the other day, but then again he was a very messy man, so it was probably somewhere around the room. He kept on looking around until he found it. He had no idea how in the world it ended up on the floor, but he honestly wasn’t in the mood to question the laws of logic. After being ready, he looked to the mirror. His black hair was getting a little longer than it should and his skin was getting a little too white. That’s what you get when you spend more time inside buildings hiding from the world than going outside and do something interesting with your life. “Am I losing weight?” He asked as he lifted his shirt and looked down to his stomach. He did look a little thinner than before, but it didn’t actually bother him. Who cared anyway? As long as he didn’t disappear he was pretty sure he was good and as long he kept using baggy shirts and oversized uniforms his parents wouldn’t notice a single thing, which was a good thing, since his mother was always complaining how skinny he was. He was pretty sure it had been like that since he was born.Once outside his bedroom he walked towards the kitchen. What he saw made him smile without even noticing. His mother was trying to put her lipstick perfectly like always but his father was just tickling her, making it almost impossible for her to do anything whatsoever. She kept on trying but you could see she was trying extremely hard not to laugh. His parents looked like little kids and it was rather cute, thought he would never admit it. Never, only if he was forced to do, and for that, the torture had to be one of the worst in the whole freaking world.“Morning.” He said and his parents looked at him with smiles on their faces. He grabbed a small piece of food and brought it to his mouth as his parents walked towards the table. “Finally! Seriously Taemin, how can you sleep so much?”His mother asked and he just rolled his eyes. She would always ask him something like that so he just gave up on trying to come up with an answer or even a silly excuse. He just kept on eating like he had all the time in the world while his parents were getting the final touches to leave. His father was fixing his tie and his mother was making sure she had everything in her purse. Taemin always joked that she could fit the whole apartment inside her purse, but he was sure if it wasn’t that big, she would lose her mind.“You’ve to hurry! Your friend has been waiting for you outside for almost 30minutes.” His mother said as she started taking the plates away from the table. Taemin heard those words and looked up at her, like he heard the most ridiculous thing in the whole world. Which in a way, he did because since when did he had friends? His parents should know better. He never brought people home, and for that they should know he had no friends besides his computer and bed. And sometimes he was pretty sure his computer hated him like hell because it had crashed at least 3times. “Friend? What friend?” He asked as he managed to swallow the piece of kimchi he had on his mouth.“That sweet boy that came the other day. What was his name….” She asked herself as she kept on thinking about the name of the boy. “Choi Minho.” His father said as he grabbed his jacket and smiled to his wife. “Right, I knew that!” She looked at Taemin with a smile on her face. “He’s been waiting for you outside because he said he didn’t want to bother you. It’s so cold outside and he still waited. What a nice boy.”Taemin could feel his stomach hurt. What was the other man doing there? What did he want? Wasn’t it enough that he was annoying him all the time when he wanted to be alone at school? Now he had to follow him to his own house? “….I’ll be going now.”Taemin said. He didn’t want to leave without his parents, he really didn’t, but at the same time he knew he had because something told him he was going to have a not so friendly talk with that Choi Minho and he didn’t want his parents to hear a single thing. “Be good Taemin!” His mother said as she gave him a small smile on the cheek. “I’ll, I promise.” She smiled at her son. Taemin gave a small hug to his father, grabbed his jacket and closed the door behind. He had to prepare himself for the day that was about to come, and something told him he wasn’t going to enjoy it a single bit. He looked to the floor, wishing that the other student wasn’t there anymore. Wishing that he probably got tired and left to school already.“Morning!” As soon he heard that deep, sweet voice he looked up. He saw the tall man smiling at him, not allowing his huge scarf to hide his face. How could someone smile so much at that ungodly hour of the morning? “…What are you doing here?” Taemin asked and he saw the older man giving a small pout. “That’s not a nice way to greet your friends. We need to work on your manners!” Minho said as he kept on smiling like an idiot. He IS an idiot. Taemin thought to himself and just fought extremely hard not to roll his eyes. “…Since when are we friends?” He asked and saw the surprised face from the older man that was replaced insanely fast by a sparkling smile. Minho walked towards the shorted man and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. Taemin could feel his whole body completely frozen because of the cold outside, but his cheeks were burning for some reason. He could feel his heart beat incredibly fast and it got only worst when he felt the taller one bring him a little closer. “We’ve had lunch together and we exchanged phone numbers…”“We didn’t exchange a thing. You assaulted my phone.” Taemin said right away, interrupting the older man who just ignored completely what he said. “We bonded, so that makes us friends!” Taemin opened his mouth to speak but closed right away. He wasn’t sure of what to say, but he knew that he couldn’t stay quiet. He had to say something, anything at all.He had to speak; he had to get rid of Minho, one way or another. “Just leave Minho…seriously…” Taemin said and Minho looked at him. He could see Taemin looking down to the floor, not wanting to face him and he could see the younger man was biting his lower lip, not wanting to show how nervous and uncomfortable he was with the whole situation. He never understood why the younger man was always acting like Minho’s presence was the worst thing in the world. For the last time he noticed, he had been a pretty good guy and never did something to make Taemin feel like that. So why? Why was he being such a vault? He didn’t know, but he was going to find out! He didn’t know why he wanted to know why Taemin acted like that.“We shall leave together. Don’t be angry Taeminie. I came all the way to see you and escort you to school.” Minho said with a smile and Taemin looked at him from the corner of his eyes. “No one asked you to escort me…” The younger said. Truth to be told, he didn’t want to be seen with Minho. Not because he was scared people would say about him, to that he was used to, but he was scared of what people would do Minho.Yes, the older was grown up enough to know what he was doing by hanging out with him, but he still didn’t want to imagine how cruel people could get. He was pretty sure people would start saying Taemin infected Minho with the homosexual virus. Which was incredibly stupid since he didn’t chose to be who he was, but that’s how people thought? They were stupid and close minded. “I like being your friend Taemin, just give up. I’m not going anywhere.” Minho said with a bright smile but all Taemin did was look down to his feet and start walking, not wanting to look to the older man. He couldn’t look at those eyes at all. Minho was planning something, he knew it. He knew he was! But…what was this guy planning and did Taemin really want to know?
