*She looks normal.The time Lu let her inside and served her with a warm tea, it’s weird that she looked normal for a woman who had a husband who cheated on his oldfriend. Lu looked down at her belly again, wondering what if Dio was faking it. But she immediately erased that though. That’s kinda psychotic, the idea of faking a pregnancy to keep Kai close to her.Lu let Dio sipped her tea, waiting without any intention to talk with her. Lu itched though to ask what she wants with Lu, but that’s rude. So Lu just looked outside the huge window, thinking about something else so she won’t keep her gaze at Dio or her belly.“I heard from Sehun-san you came here.” Lu turned the time Dio placed her teacup and whispered calmly. Dio was way too calm, Lu had this eerie feeling behind her back as Dio stared right into her eyes. “He said to me you were working together with my husband.”Lu didn't answer. She didn’t know this woman yet, she had to be careful talking with her.‘Say, Luhan-san.” Her index finger played with the ear of the cup, “what do you think if you’re in my position?” she asked, now it’s a direct question and Lu didn’t have any chance except answering it.So Lu took a deep breath, praying that she answered it correctly, “I will never be.”She saw Dio furrowed her eyebrows, finally showed Lu some more expression except her calm mask before. Lu can see a little confusion, a little hurt and a little disappointment from the way her eyes judging Lu or from the way she dampened her lips or from the way she clenched and unclenched her palm. “And you believe that?” Dio asked Lu, her tone slightly raised. It’s sounded like a scowl, but in more polite way. “So what if my husband got tired of you, and he decided to search for another woman to be his plaything?”Lu gasped a breath. Of course, she was aware of this. That’s what she scared of. Sometimes it haunted her, to think what if this love, their love just in the surface. What if Kai just love her because he knew she loved him so much. What if he just played with Lu?Lu was very scared will so many things since she had this relationship with Kai, but Dio didn’t have to know about it, right?“Can I ask you something?” Lu didn’t answer her question because she didn’t want to. She just tried to gather all her strength and stared back at Dio with the same fire lit in her eyes, “Is that you, who keep him from contacting me all these past years?” She just wanted to know if she guessed it right this time, because before, he kept blaming Kai for neglected her. Even as a friend.“I had to protect my love life.” And Dio’s answer hurt Lu a lot, left her questioning herself, who was the bad person in this room? Or are they in the same level, now that Lu just stole her husband right in front of her eyes?“And now,” there’s a determination in Dio’s eyes, and her expression hardened, Lu afraid she can take Lu down even though she had small figure and she was pregnant. Sure her eyes were scary as hell. “I had to save my marriage.”Lu can’t just accept that.  She can’t just submit under her threat, “did he just marry you because he was pity of you?” Lu asked her back, still holding her anger which building in her. She’s just, simply angry with everything. She was angry with this woman who tortured herself with her unrequited love for years, she was angry with Kai who never told her that his wife was pregnant, and she was angry with herself why she was being caught unguarded and just let Kai owned her.Dio inhaled a deep breath, “it’s not a pity, you know.” She said, “He might date me because I beg him to, but we’re married because we already discuss it. We decided it together.” She looked at her belly while smiling proudly and all Lu wanted to do was disappear from this world. “And now you were here.” Dio stared at Lu again. “Don’t get me wrong, Luhan-san. I don’t hate you. In fact, I don’t know you and I don’t have intention to know you. I just, didn’t like you around my husband.”Luhan gritted her teeth, hardening her jaw, anything so she could stop her eyes from tearing. She didn’t want to cry. Not in front of this woman, because Lu knew what will she say next,“You’ve got nothing from him.” Dio said firmly, her hands hugged her belly, “do you realize it now?”Lu can’t stand it anymore. “You’re wrong.” Her voice was trembling the time she stood up and walked to the door and opened it for Dio. She can’t stand this woman to be in her house for a little longer. “I’ve got his love.” She hoped to, because now, that’s all she got from him.  That’s the main reason why all these dirty affairs happened. Love. They believed they were in love with each other. Lu believed there was love in between them.“Love, huh?” Dio got up from her seat. She walked passed Lu and murmured in a mocking tone, “Love didn’t make you stay with him before.” She smiled and Lu really wanted to choke her to her death when the smile turned into a playful smirk, “Luhan-san, your love is not that strong. It can't stop him from marry me, or let me bear his child.”True. All she said was true, but Lu just didn’t want to hear it more.She put on her flats and gave Lu one last look. “Are you sure, you're not being played?”*“What? You’re in period?” Kai chuckled playfully the time Lu stopped him from stripped her naked.After Dio came to visit before, Lu didn’t know what to do anymore. She just curled in the couch all days, skipping lunch and dinner, until around 9.p.m Kai finally home. She didn’t say anything, only watched him talking animatedly about his meeting and smiled the time he pierced his gaze at her, so he won’t get curious why she became so quiet tonight.When he sat next to her and stared at Lu lovingly with his amber eyes, Lu already close from tearing away. But then she just hugged him, and he laughed, said that she was so unbearably cute tonight. Lu didn’t say anything, only let him kiss her and she kissed him back, tried to own all of him, searching her place as an important piece in his life. And when their eyes met, she just silently wished that he never married Dio.“If I’m in period…” Lu whispered flatly, “you won’t stay with me?”Kai furrowed his eyebrows. In no time, he already knew something wrong happen. “What’s wrong?” he asked.Lu shook her head, “nothing.” It wasn’t that she didn’t want to tell Kai about Dio. She just simply wanted to forget about that woman and her painful words towards Lu.Of course, Kai won’t buy it, because Lu knew, Kai knew everything about her. That’s left a stinging pain in her heart too that a little she knew about him. Whether it was because she was too full of herself or just because she simply never cared with Kai’s other life, as long as he was around and he was in love with her.“Then strip.” Kai chose the hard way to gain information from her. But she obediently stripped naked and then she just lay on her back in the middle of bed. She saw he seemed surprised with her, and because of that he made it even harder for her. He grunted, “Who asked you to lie down?!”His harsh words just hurting her even more, “then what do you want?!”Suddenly Kai was grabbing her jaw, it’s so hard she winced in pain, “what’s happen?” Kai grumbled, but Lu only whined again.“I said nothing!” she struggled, “release me!”Kai released her and pushed her flat to the bed. He stared at her, who touched her now sore jaw. He didn’t say anything. They didn’t say anything.“Just do me.” Lu covered her face with the back of her hand, “just do me for the last time, then get out from my life.” she gasped, feel betrayed with her own mouth, while all she want to do was begging Kai to stay, begging Kai to choose her, begging Kai to love her. But like she said before, only love isn’t enough to make them together.“Why?” Kai asked. “Or am I not worth to know the reason too?”Lu gritted her teeth. She got up and just straddled him, positioned herself on him before he pushed her away again. It’s hurt. His rejection was so hurt. She tried it again, and he pushed her even harder, farther, until he pinned her to the bed and yelled, “Stop this madness now!” Lu can’t see his face clearly because of her teary eyes but she knew he was silently crying too, “I don’t want to see you like this!”Lu sobbed, “But I’m a slut. I should act like one, right?”“You’re not a slut.” Kai hissed as he grabbed both Lu’s shoulder tightly, pushed her even deeper to the bed, “You’re the woman I love.”God, if only it was that simple. Lu thought when Kai hugged her. She stared at the ceiling, wondering if only they just Kim Jongin and Xi Luhan, without the other woman in his life, without him being a father for his unborn child, things definitely went differently.  They won’t suffer like this.*‘Please, come home. I missed you…’Kai stared at the text with a grunt escaped his lips. Home… he thought. He never thought that place as home anymore. He put his phone at the bedside table and turned at Lu’s naked back. He saw so many bruises in there, and he bet there were many more in her front. What they did tonight was something so brutal, so rough, Kai didn’t want to remember it just like he didn’t want to end this. He just simply leaned closer to Lu and kissed all her wound apologetically. He didn’t mean to hurt her, just, she was so stubborn sometimes she’d rather getting hurt than telling him what’s happen.“I’m sorry.” Kai touched an open wound on her left chest. It’s deep, tearing her beautiful skin and drawing blood. Kai forgot how it happened. He can only remember her scream as she begged him to stop hurting her. But he didn’t. He kept punishing her and torturing her until she lost herself and stopped moving. At first, Kai thought he was killing her. But she’s still breathing and her heart still beating, so he just hugged her, let himself drowning in his own sorrow.What’s happen? He really wanted to know. Did she get bored? Did he bore her to the point that she didn’t want him anymore? And what’s with this ‘slut’ thing? He didn’t sleep with Dio anymore. He didn’t double taking them. He didn’t cheat. He chose Lu, and he never intended to change his choice.“Why?” Kai back-hugged Lu, drowning his face on her shoulder and kissed her with all the love he had for her. Since she came here, she simply gave him his smile, his laugh, and his life back. Everything seemed so perfect for them. Even Kai didn’t want to waste his time anymore by planning to propose her. It’s a fail, though. But it worth trying and he will never give up until he saw the wedding ring on her finger, with his name engraved inside it just like he engraved his existence in her life.That’s why, her sudden retreat confused him. It was impossible for human to get a change of heart just by hours if there’s no stressor for that. Something must happen today. Maybe Sehun told her things about Dio again,  or…Then he just realized. What if…That’s it. He understood it now. He may guess it wrong but it’s better asking that woman directly, because she must be done something. He immediately got up and get dressed. He placed a memo for Lu if she woke up and freaked up because she didn’t find him around (lately he’ll freak out if he woke up without Lu) then he just took his car key and phone.“I’m going for a while.” Kai pressed his lips on Lu’s forehead, “I’ll be back.”*‘I’ll be back…’Lu stirred.She heard the sound of closed door and she blinked a few times. She smiled, still in cloud nine as she ran her hand on her bare stomach, she felt so dirty and full yet it was so warm and healing. She felt content with the stinging pain all around her body. Even though she disliked how it left scar on her beautiful skin, she loved the way he marked her because he showed how much he need her to cure his desperation and hunger over her presence. He may overdo it, she thought while rubbing the wound on her left chest. She didn’t know if it was a bite or a scratch, the shape just so ugly. Lu remembered the pain, and she shuddered. She never loves pain. No one loves pain. There were many masochists out there but no matter how it’s still hurt when the skin being torn away and the blood flowed out, she never wanted to dig the sexual sensation from that.She opened her eyes, and frowned as she recalled again what had happen. She sat up, staring at the empty place beside her. Still frowning, she ran her hand on the crumpled sheet. It’s still warm, so she gulped and called, “Kai?” she looked around the studio. It seemed calmer and dimmed than what it used to be.She sighed. Relax, she said to herself, this is the same place from before. This is their home for almost a month and there were so many memories already carved on every single part of this place. Like how they used to spend their time cuddled on the floor, sketching, writing love letters to each other and kissed whenever they wanted. On the couch, so many things happen, watching tv together, learned to play PB and got a pinch on her cheeks everytime she made herself killed because of her lack of fighting skill.‘What if we’re the real soldiers?’ Lu asked Kai.Kai stared at her dazedly, ‘I’ll protect you and make sure both of us get out from the warzone alive.’ He whispered huskily, ‘so we can have naughty sex in barrack…’Lu smiled. ‘His pervertness just… unbeatable…’ She thought while trailing her gaze at the kitchen where they cook together, eat together, and being dirty together. Slowly, she curled up and hugged herself, as she looked down into her messy bed. “Where are you?” She hoped he was in the bathroom but there’s no sound from there. In fact, there’s no sound at all around her, as if she’s the one who turned deaf.Lu tucked her head down. She remembered again what she said to him. What if he really did that? What if he really gets outta her life?“I’m so sorry…” she hugged herself even tighter, trembled as the tears pooled again under her already swollen eyes, “Please come back to me…”*“You’re home.” Dio rubbed the sleep away from her eyes, but she can’t help a happy smile from appearing from her face as she saw her husband appeared in front of their bedroom door with his usual grumpy face.Kai was aware with her condition. She’s pregnant, she’s fragile and she’s sickly in love with him so he had to be careful with his words or his actions. For her, he was her life. He was her world. He was the only one she loved and without him she’ll break and she’ll hurt herself. She’ll kill herself. She already tried, every time he talked to her to live separately, to get divorce, because he felt nothing. He can’t love her in the same way she love him.“Come here.” Dio tapped the place beside her but Kai stilled.“I’m just having sex with Lu.” Kai murmured. He saw frown on her face, but then she just swallowed the pain and smiled again. Now her face became paler as she whispered. “You want to take a bath first?” Kai wondered if she was mocking him right now, by pretending Kai was just sleeping with a faceless whore.“No, I’m okay.” He said it like he meant it, that he better being dirty with Lu’s scent lingering all over his body than being around Dio and her painful, unrequited love. “But I had to talk to you.”She stared at him, already know what will he say because she murmured, “so, she told you?” Dio guessed. Kai didn’t answer that. He let her continued, “What did she tell you about me? Did she curse me?” she asked in playful tone, enjoying every word that came out from her lips so she can heal her own pain from being betrayed.“What did you say to her?” Kai murmured, tried not to get worked up. He tried not to use his hand for unnecessary things, because even though they were married, Kai didn’t have intention to touch her both in good or bad way. He didn’t hate her. He just didn’t choose her to be the one for him so any physical interaction with her will be unnecessary.‘Nothing.” Dio crossed her hands around her chest, “only show her the baby and she already lost her life just from that…” she frowned as she looked down, “if only…” she turned at Kai again, “if only it works…” for once, Kai felt pity at her. It’s not her fault. It’ll never be, because she always took care of herself pretty well and she will always be his perfect, adorable wife.“If only this baby was yours…” Dio smiled, as the tears rundown her cheeks, “then you won’t stop staying with me, and probably, you will erase that woman from your memory. You won’t ever think of leaving me alone, you won’t even think to search her out, and I…” she hugged her stomach, “and I won’t be this lonely…”She’s already lost to Lu from the beginning, no matter how she tried to gain her place in Kai’s heart. Kai didn’t like it too but his heart just turned cold the time he found out she was pregnant six months ago. She was crying and said she didn’t mean it, it was a mistake. She didn’t mean to sleep with her step-brother. It’s taboo. It brought shame to her and her family.“Should I call Baekki?” Kai murmured, “I heard she used to accompany you lately.”‘Please stay…” Dio was still crying, “I don’t want anyone I only want you.”Kai took out his phone and texted her best friend. “I’m sorry, but I had to be somewhere else. I can’t stay with you.” He remembered, Dio’s father begged him, almost make the man lowered himself by kneeling so Kai won’t divorce her and because Kai respected the oldman, he stayed with her. He tried to help her went through this nightmare.But now he had Lu.He didn’t want to be with Dio any longer.*It’s 2.a.m in the morning when Kai arrived home. It’s a home for him, the time he opened his shoes just to see his and her shoes placed neatly next to each other in the shoe rack, or when he opened his jacket and hung it along with his and her clothes in the wardrobe. He can’t help but chuckled at the weird feeling. In here, everything just placed next to each other as if they can’t be separated. Two pillows on the bed, two mugs on the bathroom basin, two fluffy slippers, and two chairs around the dining table.“Lu?” Kai walked at the couch and sat beside her. She looked horribly cute and completely wasted Kai wondered, was that really milk she drank from her pink cat mug. She didn’t look at him, only staring blankly at front with her blackened eyes as she kept sipping her milk.‘Hey…” Kai ran his hand to ruffle her hair gently, “I’m sorry for making you wake up alone…” He leaned in and nuzzled his face into her warmth, “hey, Lu, please talk to me…”“I felt stupid.”Kai looked down, when she pulled out his memo from her jersey pocket. They read it together and Kai just realized. “It’s a long memo.” He murmured in surprise. Did he write something like this before?Lu furrowed her eyebrows, “and a total shit.” She turned at him, “you’re so low. How do you know it’s not your child?” she dared him.Kai smiled. There’s an explanation for that but he didn’t really want to talk about it. He didn’t want to talk about Dio ever again. “Let’s wait until the baby born. You’ll see.” He said while circling his hand around Lu.Lu grumbled at him, “How should I trust a jerk like you?”“No, you can’t.” Kai whispered. He ran his fingers around her arms. “The only one you should trust in was love. You can’t trust me, because I’m a human and I can do mistake. But love, love has no mistake, because love is perfection.”He laughed when he saw Lu blushed at his words. She didn’t say anything but her eyes already told him that she’s still not accept it, all praises and sweet words when it came out from his mouth. But she had to bear with it, right?‘I love you.” Kai snatched a kiss from her pink lips.“Stupid!” Lu turned away her reddened face, “stop poisoning my mind! You freak!”“Embarrassed again?” Kai kissed her cheeks this time.“Shut up! Get away from me!”“No.” Kai took a deep breath and closed his eyes. “No, I won’t let you go ever again, Lu.” He said as he let his head tucked into her chest.‘You’re mine.’*End*A/N: How about it??? I hope you like it because this is how it should be ^^ some already predicted it right but I hope it didn't make the story turned lame. Later there’ll be epilogue but I don’t promise it’ll be soon.
