Chapter 10He Returns to Korea  “Baekhyun! Chanhyun! Kris!” Kyungsoo excitedly calls out when he saw his bestfriend emerge from the arrival area. After six long months in L.A., Baekhyun comes back to Korea. Yong Hwa was supposed to be with them but he had an emergency and had no choice but to take a flight three days later. He and Yong Hwa had gone pretty close in the span of six months, mostly because he and Tao were the only ones whom he knows plus Yong Hwa is a really good person and comfortable to be with. So when he received the court’s invitation for the trial, Baekhyun decided that it is time to go home. He asked Yong Hwa if he is interested to come along, maybe spend a small vacation in Korea which the doctor didn’t reject it at all, in fact Yong Hwa was excited to visit his home country after a long time. “Uncle Soo!!!” Chanhyun runs to his godfather’s arms. Kyungsoo held back the tears that were threatening to fall, he heard Chanhyun talk over the phone but hearing it in person has a different effect, it just made him proud to know that Chanhyun was able to overcome a very traumatic experience. Kyungsoo treats his bestfriend and godchild to his home cooked meal which the two devoured happily along with Kris who worship Kyungsoo’s cooking. “Jongin…” Baekhyun entered the kitchen where Jongin was getting the drinks. “I know how close you are to Chanyeol and Kyungsoo probably threatened you with a lot of things but thank you… thank you for not telling Chanyeol about where I stayed…” “You don’t have to thank me Baek, I understand why you want to hide from Yeol and frankly Yeol deserved it…I’m sorry you have to go through all of this Baek…” Jongin reached out for Baekhyun’s hand and squeezed it. Baekhyun smiled and nod, he knows Jongin is really concerned about him. After the sumptuous dinner, Chanhyun easily retires to bed, mostly due to the long flight. Baekhyun tucked his son to sleep before going back to the living room where Kris, Jongin and Kyungsoo were watching a movie. He takes a seat next to his bestfriend and tiredly leans his head on Kyungsoo’s shoulder. “Are you ready Baek?” Kyungsoo gently plays with Baekhyun’s hair. “I’ve talked to Atty. Kim before we took the flight and she said that everything is ready…” “I’m not talking about the legal works Baek, I’m talking about Chanyeol… are you ready to see him?” Everyone in the room turned their heads towards Baekhyun and Baekhyun could just heaves out a sigh. “I have to be ready; it’s not like I have any other choice but to face him right?” Baekhyun takes another deep breath. “Do you want me to accompany you tomorrow?” Kyungsoo offered. “Actually, I was wondering if you can look after Chanhyun while I’m at the hearing. I don’t want Chanyeol to see him yet…” “Okay no problem about that, so Kris will be coming with you then?” “Kris has an important operation tomorrow so he can’t come with me but don’t worry too much about me Soo, I can handle Chanyeol just fine…” Baekhyun smiled at his bestfriend. “Are you sure?” Kyungsoo still looks at him worriedly. “Positive….” Baekhyun widens his smile, silently praying that none of his confidence falters once Chanyeol is really standing in front of him.
