Chapter 1 (1/1)

19:06 (8:06pm)I sit on the counter, lightly swinging my feet. I’m thinking about what Joonyang and I are going to do tomorrow. The washer’s buzer goes off; I hop off the counter and take out what I have in the washer. I put those clothes in the dryer, put another load in the washer and put in 25 cents. The washer continues on and the dryer starts up. I start folding some of the already-dry clothes.19:37 (8:37 pm)I put the last load of clothes in the washer; I continue to fold the last few clothes. After all the folding is done, I’m still waiting for this last load. I curl up in a chair and read the romance novel that I take with me everywhere.19:48 (8:48 pm)I put softner in the washing machine and take some clothes out of the dryer. I start folding my clothes, I’m still reading.20:02 (9:02 pm)All the clothes are dry and folded. I put them in a basket, attach that to my bike and ride home. It’s dark, I don’t like the dark but I know there’s nothing to be afraid of. I arrive home half an hour later.20:33 (9:33 pm)I walked up to my front door. I saw my neighbor, he was heading into his house as well. We nodded at each other and that was the extent of our greeting. I put the clothes in the small kitchen of my apartment. I decide to take a quick shower after tucking in my kid brother.20:57 (9:57 pm)I got out of the shower, dressed and walked out to find my little brother in front of me. He extends his arm and in his hand is my phone. It’s ringing, I want to answer but I don’t recognize the number.20:59 (9:59 pm)I answer the phone. “Yesobeyo?”21:00 (10 pm)“I’m Back.”
