Taemin's POVEven after the door closed and locked behind me, my heart was still beating at an alarming rate. I brought my hand to my chest, grabbing at the shirt and attempting to calm down. It didn't work as much as I hoped it would.
"Who was that?" The woman asked, brows furrowed.
"Just some guy," I said, trying to make it sound as if he wasn't important. I wiped the small amount of sweat from my forehead and excused myself to the bathroom. I relished the bit of privacy I had when the door locked. The first thing I did was splash my face with cold water, trying to cool it off a bit.
I felt consumed by so many emotions; guilt because I lied to him, pain because he was here and I knew I couldn't have him, and nervousness, because he was by no means safe. The last reason gave me the most stress. If there was anything that mattered to me, it was his safety. My mind reeled, forming any sort of plan that would get him out of this town quickly.
A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.
"Are you done in there?" The woman asked, annoyed and still knocking on the door as if she hadn't gotten my attention already.
"Go away!" I yelled, wanting nothing more than to just be left alone.
"Look, I'm not paying you to lock yourself in the bathroom and sulk or whatever you're doing. So hurry!" She screamed through the door in response.
Not in the mood to deal with her, I turned the faucet off, unlocked the door and swung it open, wishing that the door could swing the other way and hit her in the face.
"Well, I don't want your filthy money anyway!" I screamed in her face, loving the way she looked so shocked at my outburst. "I quit!"
I shoved her out of my way, how she fell to the ground making me feel powerful, and walked towards the door.
"Don't call me, cause I'm not going to pick up." And with that, I exited, slamming the door behind me as hard as I could and stalking down the hallway.
