Jiyong-ah" He looked at you for awhile as he opened the door for you. He just paused. Looking at you- no, more like staring at you "Yah." You walked up to him and hit his shoulder lightly as he regained his consciousness "Ah, I'm sorry." He laughed as he looked down to his shoes as you laughed with him "Happy Birthday." You said as you hugged him as he wrapped his arms around you He remembered the last time you guys hugged and he remembers it clearly. You were crying because you found out that your boyfriend for three years has been cheating on you. Knowing that you're a strong girl, you didn't cry or get mad infront of him, but you talked about it. However, after your talk with your boyfriend, ex-boyfriend, you immediately called Jiyong and asked if he could talked with you, and that's where you started crying.Jiyong doesn't like to see you cry, he hates it because he knows that you never do that. He was infuriated at your ex but you told him to not be since he explained himself and he apologized for it too.Jiyong has liked you ever since Youngbae introduced you both and he hasn't regretted it since even though you have been to past relationships, you don't know that though. As much as he wanted to kiss you and embrace you long enough to be intimate at that moment, he doesn't want to since he thinks that it is rude and inconvenient since you just had a break up. "Thank you." He replied to your statement as you both released the hug "It's just that you look pretty and I just can't help staring at you" You blushed at his reply "You don't look bad yourself birthday boy" You replied as he laughs, his grinny smile on the sight of you as you smiled, you always love his smile. "Isn't she? I bought that dress for her." He looks past behind you and he sees him, your boyfriend. Jiyong's smile faltered a bit as he goes up to you and wraps his arm around your waist as you blushed at his action while trying to take off his hand from you. Jiyong forces a smile at your boyfriend as he nods at him "Yeah, it's beautiful." He said as your boyfriend laughs at his statement and thanks him"Come in" He said as you both walked past him, your boyfriend's arm still wrapped around your waist, leaving Jiyong alone at the door It's not that Jiyong doesn't like your boyfriend, he's a good one actually. He cares of you fondly and he's an affectionate person towards you. Jiyong approves it but the thing that bothers him is that he's just sad. Hurt even. He wants to be the one that does those things for you, he wants to wrap his arm around you like your boyfriend does, kiss you, even do intimate things with you. Instead, he just kept his feelings from you and he regrets it, so much. Jiyong sighs and shakes his head and tells himself that it's going to be alright. He wants to be happy for you, but for some reason his feelings won't let him do that.He exhaled once more and finally closed the door behind him. After a while the party has started and so far it is doing good, people are having fun drinking while the music is up and you even see people dancing which Jiyong likes. Beside the table are Jiyong's gifts and it's starting to pile up and even though Jiyong tells them to not give him gifts, he still likes it.After talking with guests and laughing with them he started looking for you and he sees you, dancing with your boyfriend happily as his smile faded. He suddenly reverted his gaze and walked away from your sight.However at the same exact time as you were dancing with your boyfriend you looked at your side and saw Jiyong walking away as you slowly stopped dancing, wondering what's on his mind since it's his birthday after all. "Hey um" You stopped dancing and talked to your boyfriend "Can I go after Jiyong? I feel like he has something on his mind." You explained as your boyfriend nodded at you and smiled, thanking him as you kissed his cheek and walked away from him and you start to find him As you walked for a couple of minutes you finally find him sitting with a glass of tequila, you then hurriedly walked to him and held his shoulder and sat down beside him "You okay birthday boy?" You asked him as he looked up to see you and he forced a smile"Yeah of course." He replied as he smiled "It's just.. Work.. You know.." He trailed off as you snorted at his answer and he looks at you surprised "Remind me to tell you to not be an actor 'cause you suck at it.." You said as you laughed "I know you don't have work for the next couple of days and I know it's something else come one tell me" You forced him out as he raised an eyebrow at you and smirked. This is why he likes you, you don't sugar coat and that's one of the things why he likes you, a lot. "What if I'm actually telling the truth?" He replied at your answer as you laughed "Jiyong I've known you for a while now and don't even ask me these questions anymore or else I'll kick you." You said as he laughed again and he bumps your shoulder "But though" You said "Are you actually okay?" You asked again as he looks at you, looks at his drink then takes the shot He sighs "I don't wanna talk about it actually.." He said as he stood up and looks down at you "Wanna just dance it out? It is my birthday.." He said as you nodded in excitement "Well the night is young.." You looked at him and smiled as you both go to the main floor You both started dancing, feeling the music in you as you both took drinks and shots after a while, as you glanced at Jiyong he's holding a bottle of vodka and just started drinking from it. You laughed at his actions and you see him dancing in the flow, his body in the beat of the music, he's slowly rolling his body then he looks at you, he smiles at you with his smile, the smile that is sultry and sensual and it left you blushing and it made you glad that the lights were dim.Then you thought that you have a boyfriend, your boyfriend. You felt bad that you thought about something like that to Jiyong and it made you disappointed to yourself. "Why aren't you dancing?" Jiyong asks you as he slowly walks to you and holds your hand, making you dance with him "I'm sorry, it's just that I thought about him and I'm just wondering where he is" You answered as you saw Jiyong's smile falter a bit, you were confused, but you thought that it's just the lighting that made you see like that. "He's there." He points to your back and you look where he is pointing at and you see your boyfriend talking to a friend of yours "Is that Youngbae?"

"What?" Jiyong got closer and you feel his body inches from you from his heat and his voice on the side of your ear, smelling the scent of alcohol from him and it honestly made you turned on from it as his head is almost resting to your shoulder.You suddenly blushed at the thought of Jiyong being close to you and the alcohol makes it worse because it's making you think of things you shouldn't want to think about "I-is that Youngbae?" You stuttered nervously as you pointed at them"Oh him?" He points at him at his other hand where he is holding the alcohol and it is at the level of you waist and you can feel his arm grazing your hips, making you blush more "Yeah it's Youngbae!" He happily said as he lifts his head from you and holds your hand "Let's go see them!" He then walks to them with you holding your hand You were blushing at his actions and you just thought that he's just drunk because he's never the type to actually do a lot skinship like this one. But you gotta admit, you kind of like it. It's so wrong but it felt so good. The night flew by so fast and you were glad that Jiyong had fun all the way and he wasn't the same person that you saw hours ago that was sitting with a glass with him. Guests are starting to leave and bit by bit you are starting to sober up.Your boyfriend then told said that he's leaving a bit early since he has work the next day "Jiyong-sshi I trust you with _____, and if she's still drunk then let her sleep in your house" He joked with him as Jiyong laughed too as you pushed your boyfriend at his remark "Well _____ can just go with you now I don't really mind." Jiyong replied with a smile. He lied, he minds. He wants to hang out with you a bit more and even wants you to stay at his house. "Actually." Your boyfriend said "She might want to say something to you.." He glances at you and you nod at him "Yeah actually.." You agreed at your boyfriend's statement as Jiyong felt confused, is it important? Your boyfriend wore his coat and he wraps his arms around you and sightly lifts you up as you giggled at his action, leaving Jiyong a bit hurt. He wants to do that to you too.It then leaves a pretty long kiss from both if you and Jiyong immediately reverted his gaze from you guys and he started blinking rapidly and then went to sit down in the sofa. As you said goodbye to your boyfriend and waved at him goodbye as he drives away you looked at Jiyong sitting on the same spot of the sofa where he had the tequila with him, where you thought that he had something on his mind hours ago. You walked to him and held his shoulder, showing that you're here and you sat across from him. "So." Jiyong started "What is it that you want to tell me?" He asked, with his brown eyes looking into you intently You sighed and paused for a bit "I'm leaving." You replied and you saw his eyes go wide in shock "What do you mean leaving? When?" He quickly asked you in what it looks like in fear as you reverted your gaze at him "In two days in the afternoon. I'm leaving for my job to go to Paris." You simply said and he just doesn't get it "Y-you mean for a week right? All business trips are like that" He answered and you simply shook your head at him indicating that he's wrong "I'm staying there for a year." You finally explained and it left a silence. You looked at Jiyong and he's looking at you and his eyes are watery, he's speechless. After a long pause he suddenly asked "When did you knew?" You sighed "Two weeks ago, my boss just suddenly told me and it gave me a shock too." "And you didn't tell me? _____ I thought you'd tell me everything and you're just telling me that you're leaving in two days?" He felt hurt at your actions. You can't look at him in the eye anymore because you know that his face will give you guilt, which you're having right now "I know that and I'm sorry, it's just that I know that if I tell you this you wouldn't accept it and Jiyong you gotta think that this is a boost of my job, and I know that it's a year and that is long but you can do this, come on your job is making you stress out too and that's what I felt when my boss told me." You looked and explained at him but he's not looking at you anymore rather he is staring at space and thinking about what you said, you can see him clenching his jaw and it made you hurt, you screwed up and you know it Silence. Another pause came and he's still not answering and it is killing you just the thought of how frustrated he is. "Did he.." He started after a while "Did he knew?" He then looked at you with still watery eyes and that's when you know you actually did screw up You know that you're stronger than this but you can't help that you're eyes are getting watery too, and Jiyong noticed it. You looked at him "Yes"  You simply answered and Jiyong started blinking and looking away at you "Unbelievable.." He muttered under his breath and you can clearly hear what he said "Excuse me?" You started getting mad at him as you raised an eyebrow, glaring at him "He's just your boyfriend for two years and you tell him first than me? _____ what the hell?" Jiyong started arguing and froze at his question. "Jiyong you do not know him like I know him" You backed up your answer and Jiyong furrowed his eyebrows at you "Me? All I know is that he's your boyfriend for two years while me? How long have we been friends? More than that right? A whole lot more and I stayed with you and supported you in all my life and you tell him first? What did he even do huh? I'm pretty sure he just gives you gifts and makes you happy and stuff and I'm pretty sure you don't even tell him everything like me, oh wait, you told him about you leaving first than me!" He started fuming and he immediately stood up from his seat and takes a bottle of tequila and starts drinking it "Jiyong this is getting out of hand..." You tried getting his bottle away from him but he pulls your hand away from him "I know what I did was screwed up and I want you to know that I thought about you and it's for the best, I explained to you why I did this so please can we talk more than arguing?" You tried to make him relaxed but it's not working and sooner or later you noticed that the bottle is now empty and you can tell that he's getting drunk now from his walking "Like you know shit..." He mutters in his breath as you heard him "Jiyong stop it, I told you I'm sor-" "Think about it" He cutted you off "You told him that you're going to Paris right, and what if he thought of other things other than you?" He started asking you this and it made you feel uneasy "Jiyong can you stop? I know where you're going at this and-" "He thinks of cheating on you right?" He suddenly spat the words and it made you shocked, he smiled as he slowly walks to you "I mean that's all they do to you right? Like your past boyfriend? Remember all those years ago where he cheated on you with some pretty girl that you didn't even know?" "Jiyong stop.." Your eyes are getting watery "And what if your current boyfriend does it too? I mean it is possible since you did told him that you're leaving for a year to Paris, which is thousands of miles away from here and you're telling me that he's not gonna do anything but wait for you?" "Jiyong, you're out of the line please stop." You started stuttering your words as you tried holding Jiyong's hands but he kept pulling it away from you "Wouldn't it be worse if it's the same exact girl?" "Jiyong stop!" You yelled at him as he raised an eyebrow at you, still not affected by your words "Or what? You're gonna-" "I love him." You cutted him off, and you see that his eyes changed for a second there "I love him. I've never felt this way to a man before until he came." You shed a tear and that's when you saw Jiyong's face changed " You do not know, I repeat, do not know shit about him Jiyong. You do not know." You started crying infront of him as Jiyong's felt hurt. He can't believe he did that to you. "_____, I-" She walks back from you "Save it, I don't wanna talk to you anymore" You grabbed your stuff and wore your coat "And I think a year is good for the both of us." You remarked as he felt like knives went and stabbed him a thousand of times in the heart. He screwed up, he screwed up. Real bad. He can hear her calling a taxi as she walks away from his house as he just stood there, shocked at what he did. A coward. He knows that he should run for her but he can't, he's just standing there, finally crying at what he did to you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today is the day where you leave for Paris and Jiyong is not thrilled for this. Yesterday he didn't do anything, he just stayed at his home and thought about what he did and cried. He does know that in that day he should've made amends with you and apologize. But he figured that you didn't want to see him after what he did, and you understand. He finally accepted that you're leaving for a year to Paris. He even remembers clearly how you said that you love your boyfriend, and he's still hurt from that. So he calls Youngbae. Youngbae comes and hugs him, Jiyong wanted to hug someone since that day and they hugged for a long time and he even bawled his eyes out. "It's okay..." Youngbae pats his back as Jiyong kept doing it, it honestly made Youngbae heartbroken at Jiyong's state right now After a while they both sat down "So it's _____ right?" Youngbae finally asked while Jiyong nodded. Youngbae knew that Jiyong liked you ever since he introduced you guys. Youngbae's frustrated the fact that Jiyong doesn't make a move on you because he knows that you like him too, but it's now too late.You tell Youngbae what happened after the party while he listens intently. Jiyong loves that about him. He actually listens. It's not the type of listening where you just keep nodding but he actually listens by looking at him in the eye intently and tries feeling what he felt. Jiyong's finally done with talking and he's waiting for Youngbae's answer It was a really long pause as Jiyong patiently waited for him, nervous on what he's going to say. "Run." He finally said "What?" Jiyong asked him as Youngbae laughed "Run for her you dumbass. I'm sick of you hiding your feelings from her all those years and I don't care if it's too late or not, I want you to know that for once she liked you like you've been liking her. I want you to know that your feelings are valid. You say what you feel and there's no wrong to that." Youngbae explained as Jiyong stood there in shock "Now go!" He pulls him up "Her flight's in an hour so go you have time." He hugs Jiyong and then pushes him to his bedroom making him change. After Jiyong quickly changes he looks at Youngbae again "I know you were going to say that, thank you" he then runs to his car leaving Youngbae smiling at him, feeling proud Jiyong puts his keys in the car and starts driving it fast. He feels adrenaline in his body and he's never felt this way before. He regrets all those years where he kept his feelings from you while you've been with other guys, he regrets it with a passion and this time he's not going to do that at all After a long drive to the airport he's finally there and he started running as fast as he could and goes inside the airport "Damn" Only to find that there is a whole lot of people in the airport. He heavily sighed as he saw this before his eyes and he starts finding you. He went to sections on what you think what flights you're going to and it makes it a whole lot easier, but not quite. Jiyong's been searching the airport for more than twenty minutes now and he felt that you went to your flight since it's probably an hour now and it hurts him. He starts giving up bit by bit and his eyes starts to water "You came?" He heard a voice, a familiar one in the distance Jiyong immediately raised his face and starts smiling from ear to ear, as he looks back he sees you smiling. Only to be ruined by something You're not talking to him, you're talking to your boyfriend. His smile immediately faded into a shocked, devastated one and he sees you crying happily while your boyfriend hugs you tightly with a luggage in his side. Jiyong thought that you're boyfriend surprised you by saving a flight and going with you. So you're right, Jiyong doesn't know shit about him. Jiyong thought that it's for the best, your boyfriend did seem that caring, loving person that every woman wants and Jiyong admits that you're very, very lucky to have him. He then sees you both kissing passionately as Jiyong sighs to himself and a tear falls to his cheek "I'll see you in a year..." He accepted his fate that you and Jiyong are not going to be together anymore. It's his fault and he blames himself for it. The last time he sees you is smiling with your boyfriend side by side, both walking to the flight together.
