Reunited (1/2)
Aerim admired herself in front of the mirror.
She softly smiled at herself. She looked pretty... decent.
She was wearing a sleeveless, floral top, with dark blue skinny jeans, black flats, and a long black cardigan just in case it got chilly.
Her hair was slightly curled at the bottom, and her bangs weren't all over the place for once.
She looked presentable.
A knock was heard at her door, and before she could go and answer it, the door already swung open with Aeseob standing behind it.
"Mom's already waiting in the car, and she's angry." He said with a straight face.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm ready." Aerim waved her hands as she slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Hey, you don't look that ugly today." Aeseob commented.
"Aeseob, I'm really just fighting the urge to punch you in the face right now." She said, gritting her teeth.
Aeseob only laughed and lead her to the car, where her mother was, waiting impatiently.
"Get in! We're going to be late!" She demanded.
"Alright, alright. Calm down. They live almost across the street from us, mom. We won't be late." Aerim rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"It's better to be early than late, Aerim. Haven't I taught you nothing?!" Her mother said as she started her way out of the parking lot. "Ah, I remember the days." Aeseob smiled to himself as he stuffed his hands into his pocket.
The three of them were standing in front of the huge mansion.
There was a cute little garden out in the front and statues standing proudly in front of them.
The house was as white as snow and she couldn't find a single speck of dust on it.
"Ahh! Yerim!!" The elegant looking woman who was wearing an expensive blouse with a long black skirt greeted.
It was Kai's mother.
"Omo, is that you Sora!? I almost didn't recognize you!" Aerim's mother squealed in excitement.
"Yes, yes it's me! Did I really age that much?" She laughed.
"No, not at all! You look so much younger. What kind of moisturizer are you using?" Aerim's mother laughed along.
"You're still that hilarious person I remember you being." Mrs. Kim smiled before looking over at Aerim and Aeseob.
"Omo! Are those your children!?" She asked in shock.
Aerim's mother chuckled and turned over to them, "Yeah. These little rascals were so excited to come here."
Pfft, no I wasn't.
"They grew up so much! Last time I remembered, Aerim was crying because her icecream fell on the ground and Aeseob was playing with toy race cars!"
Aerim's mother smiled at the memory, "Yep, good times."
Mrs. Kim smiled at Aeseob before poking out her hand, "Hey, Aeseob. I haven't seen you in a while. You've grown up to be such a handsome man."
Aeseob gently smiled back before shaking his hands with hers. "Thanks, Mrs. Kim. It's nice to see you again."
Mrs. Kim retreated back her hand before turning over to Aerim, "And you, you've grown up so much. I almost didn't recognize you."
"She still has the height of a toddler, though." Her mother commented.
"Mom!" Aerim whined.
