If youre still SNSD, Il (1/1)
If you’re SNSD, I’ll still be a SONE... "Hey guys." Everyone turned their attention to the person whom just walked into their dorm. She was the last person to reach and everyone else was waitng patiently for her before they begin what they had gathered today for. "Sorry, traffic was really bad." Sooyoung said before she nudges Yuri's knee to make space for her to sit on the couch. "What are you guys watching?" She asked as she took some chips from the packet in Yuri's hand. "Catching up on The King's Love. What episode are you on now?" Yuri answered but her eyes never leave the television. Sooyoung suddenly felt eyes on her. She slowly turned her head towards that direction and snickered. "I was too busy!" She put her arms up as is to surrender and admit defeat before successfully catching the cushion being thrown at her. "I watched the first episode though." She told Yoona who have already started pouting. "And I must say, your acting skills have improved." She joked before getting another cushion thrown towards her. Amidst the chaosness in the room, there was one quiet person in the room who was observing everything. She having mixed feelings right now. Despite being in the same room with her members whom she have grown to love, she can't help but to feel melancholy about the upcoming situation. Taeyeon first look at her girlfriend who was laying her head on her lap while laughing at the other members' antic or talking to them. She unconciously stroke her hair. She was proud of Tiffany. She was thankful for Tiffany. They were once young kids, separated from their family in hope to chase their dream. They had no one unlike the rest of the members and they rely deeply on each other. Over the years, they fall for in love with each other and they have been through with each other with good times and bad times. They were the perfect definition for soulmate. She then shifted her gaze to Sunny and Hyoyeon, her two remainng dormmates. Sunny was wise and Hyoyeon was the funny one. Together, they helped to bring entertainment to Taeyeon's life. She would go to Sunny for advice or comfort. To Taeyeon, Hyoyeon was born to make her laugh. Whatever she do, whatever she say was always funny to Taeyeon. Even now, she had to smile as she watches Hyoyeon actively trying hard to explain the story line of The King's Love to Soo Young. Taeyeon watches with a grateful smile as she observes Soo Young trying to concentrate on what Hyoyeon is saying while being teased by Yuri and Yoona. She switches her gazes between those three ladies. Soo Young, Yuri, Yoona. They were born closely together. Individually, they were a great friend and person. Together, they made the funniest trio after Hyoyeon. She continues to observe as Yoona and Soo Young ended their bickering and teasing by sharing their food. They are always like that. Each and everyone of them. There may be slight arguement and disagreement between them but it won't prolong till a day or two. Because they care for each other so much and because they treasure their friendship so much, they always end up making up automatically in the most easiest way. They would share their food as a simple form apology. They would cook for each other or treat each other. Or they would just end up hugging it out after a whole day of cold shoulder but the argument never lasted long because the mind is angry but the heart still cares. And because the heart still cares, it was easy to forgive. "See! Hyoyeon unnie is the best!" Yoona said when Hyoyeon finally successfully explain the storyline of the drama to Soo Young. "Of course, I'm a fan!" Hyoyeon replied "That's because you are jobless and nobody wants to offer you a job!" Soo Young joked "Agreed!" Yuri agreed as she hi-fived with Soo Young who was beside her. And just like that, they would continue to tease and joke with each other, resulting in mini bickering before ending it off with laughter together. Taeyeon then shifted her gaze to the youngest person in the room, SNSD's maknae, Seohyun. The ever so classy and proper lady among all of them. The one who never fails to make her unnie proud of her. She may be the quietest among them but when they is a need to talk some sense and be mature, she is the first lady to do so. She was the brain and pride of SNSD and all of the unnies showered their love towards her and she never once let them down. She then heard Tiffany's husky laugh, followed by Sunny's high pitched cute laughter before the whole room was filled with laughter by the rest of the members. Suddenly, the dorm seemed lively and whole again cause when the eight of them gather like this, she wished she could stopped time and stay in the moment. She felt Tiffany squeezing her hand and she looked down. "You ok?" Tiffany asked. Taeyeon smiled, a contented one. "Yeah." She held Tiffany's hand tighter to reassure her as the both of them turn their gazes towards the rest of the members and joined in the conversation. They were supposed to be discussing about their future but neither wants to take the first step to talk about it. If possible, each and everyone of them wants to procrastinate the matter but their company have been chasing them about it. As expected, it was Seohyun whom brought it up first. "Unnies..." Seohyun finally voiced out. "I'll need to go for my drama shooting soon. I think we should talk about it now." There was silence before Soo Young sighed. Yuri sighed too. Tiffany get up from Taeyeon's lap and sat up. She sighed too. Yoona put the bag of chip she had stolen from Soo Young back on the table before digilently taking the remote to switch off the TV. There was no smile on Hyoyeon face. Sunny's face was equally expressionless. Everyone was just waiting for the next person to talk. And when times like this, when the rest of the members are speechless, Taeyeon as the eldest has to step up. She shifted her body a little, making a small space between herself and Tiffany. "I..." Taeyeon didn't know how to start. They had talked about this before and the rest of the members knew why she did what she did. “You guys know my decision. I had to sign cause I want to keep SNSD's name and I want to continue singing." "But have you ever thought even if we don't recontract we could still sign with another agency together as 8 and keep SNSD's name." Sooyoung argued. They had been discussing about this a million times. They hate their company but they had to keep going because of SNSD and the fans. They could live as 8 and pursue another agency but that couldn't guarantee them to keep their SNSD name with them. They would need to buy copyright clause for their songs if they were to promote or sing it in the future. It's a dilemma they are facing right now with each of the members having different dreams and goals in life right now. "You know how SM works. It is not easy to deal with them." Taeyeon answered and it was enough to make the room quiet again. Each and everyone of them knows their company too well. If they could sabotage their own 10th anniversary comeback just to pressure the members to sign contract, they would do anything to make these girls suffer and break their heart and thier hardwork. “I’m not gonna renew though.” Tiffany was the one who broke the silence this time. She heard Taeyeon’s gasped and she apologetically looked at her. “But... But...” Taeyeon stutters. She was speechless. She knew of Tiffany’s dream and her next goal in life but they had talked about this and she thought she had managed to convince Tiffany to stay with her. “I...” She gave Tiffany a questioning look. “Sorry Tae...” “What?” Taeyeon can’t believe what she was hearing. If earlier her heart was feeling heavy, right now she felt as though her world had just crumbled down. She looks at the rest of the members and they had the same questioning look on their faces. Taeyeon stood up. As much as they wanted to solve this issue quickly, she can’t handled the hurt and pain right now. Just hearing one member, her love of her life, her best friend who brings happiness to her and have been always by her side, quitting on her was already bad enough. She can’t continue to sit to hear the rest quitting on her. She knows she shouldn’t be selfish but neither does she wants to break down in front of her member. “Taeyeon-ah!” Sunny shouted after her as she ran into her room. “You didn’t tell her?” Yuri was the one whom asked. Tiffany shook her head. “I couldn’t. Each time I try to talk to her about this, she end up trying to convince me and we’ll end up fighting.” “But you should at least hint her or prepare her for this.” “...” “What now?” Sooyoung asked. “We can’t continue this discussion if she’s not here.” Tiffany sighed. She knows she was in the wrong. “I’ll try talk to her then.” She said as she stood up and walked to Taeyeon’s room. ************* Tiffany carefully closes the door behind her and stayed stood in her place as she observes the dazed person sitting at t
