Mortified was the most suitable word that could describe Aira at the moment. Not only was her embarrassment growing by the millisecond but so was the prying crowd. Aira could have sworn she heard someone comment on how gross the situation was. And they were right. It was gross. Disgusting, even. These sort of things were supposed to happen only to those poor victim girls in movies and books, not to Aira who was clearly in reality. But she was starting to wish this was all a dream.Aira thickly swallowed, trying to rid the enormous lump in her throat. She desperately tried to find something -- anything -- to start off her apology to Luhan but no words would leave her trembling lips. Her round, widened eyes only stared back at his squinted, doe-like ones. "I-I'm so sorry," Aira finally mustered up the courage to apologize,"I swear I didn't mean to -- I'll pay for a new pair. I just --I'm really sorry." She awaited for his rude and mean remark about her actions but the reaction he gave her was completely different from what she was expecting."Don't worry about it. They were old, anyway. Are you all right, though? " He was completely dismissing the fact that he had bile on his sneakers and that they were probably going to become unusable after this encounter. "You look a little red.""I, uh, I'm fine." Aira answered, eyes now casted down. She could no longer look at him without wanting to cry because of how traumatic all of this was. She was surely going to be the 'star' at her lectures on Monday. What if word spreads around campus that some 'drunkard' had the nerve to throw up on the university's star student? Aira could only pray that such a thing wouldn't happen because she would, without a doubt, transfer out of the university and apply into other ones. Another thought invaded her clustered mind and it made her panic without knowing the reason why. What if Jongdae decided to ditch her as a friend and began picking on her about this? Aira hadn't a clue as to why this bothered her so much or why she was even thinking such a thing. She had a feeling Jongdae wasn't that type of person but you never truly know a person, right? Her attention was reverted back to Luhan only when he began to speak again/."Are the drinks that bad?" Luhan mused, sending her a lopsided grin. "Guess I'll stick to the water, then."Was he seriously making a joke out of this? Aira was beginning to become concerned over his mentality. Luhan let out a laugh at the expression she was making then proceeded to kick his sneakers off and allowing them to lay in the mess. "I don't think Yi Fan will be too psyched about this, honestly. But hey, accidents happen." The nonchalant shrug and grin he gave Aira caused her heartbeat to stutter. He placed a hand on her shoulder,"Now then, if you'd excuse me, I need to go back to the dorms because I'm starting to smell like puke."Her breathing stopped short, getting caught in her throat at his words. This seemed to make him chuckle and explain that he was joking before he took his leave, leaving Aira to stand there by herself with a crowd that was continuing to stare at her even after the brunette soccer player left. Baekhyun and Chanyeol had ditched Jongdae to go dance after being informed that their friend wanted to wait for Aira. So now here Jongdae was, leaning against the kitchen island, waiting for Aira's return. As he absentmindedly looked around the numerous faces, he caught a glimpse of a shoeless Luhan conversing with a laughing Yi Fan. Jongdae's curiosity grew even higher as Yi Fan made his way towards him after bidding Luhan farewell."Dude, you'll never guess what just happened upstairs to Luhan." Yi Fan's drunken giggles made it hard for Jongdae to understand the words that were strewing out of his mouth. "His shoes got stolen?" Jongdae tried, allowing a smirk to show on his lips. "Or did he give them away after losing a bet?""No, even better!" His hand clapped onto Jongdae's shoulder. "Your friend puked all over his sneakers! I hope someone caught that on camera!""Wait, Aira?" Jongdae asked, his grin slipping away. Yi Fan nodded, his head bobbling up and down as he did so. "Where is she?""I don't know. Bathroom, probably." The tall man shrugged with his answer. "All I know is that I'm not cleaning that shit up. I'll have one of the new members do it or something."Jongdae scowled at the thought of Aira being in such a humiliating situation and quickly made his way upstairs, pushing past the nosy crowd that was gathered on the stairs. After fighting his way through the strings of people and complaining to some of them about how it was none of their business of what had happened, Jongdae finally stoo
