Lady in the suit (1/2)

As she takes a turn to the corner of the street, she bumps into someone. Great. Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any worse- “ouch! watch where you going”. Time freezes.Everything stops. Moonbyul felt like she has seen the light. A beautiful brunette who seems to be around Byul’s age. A centimeter smaller than Byul, wearing specs and a suit. “I am so sorry, are you okay?” Moonbyul finally manages to ask.

The lady in the suit seems to be pissed at Moonbyul. “I am fine, but look i just missed my train! ugh why did I have to bump into you!” the lady exclaims.

“Excuse me! I didn't mean to bump into you but you were at fault too. I am sorry you missed your train but you don't need to say stuff like that” Moonbyul says. She’d had enough of this for today. Even though the lady is pretty and attractive, Byul is not going to take anymore attitude from anyone today.

The lady seems to be in shock by Moonbyul’s comment. She sighs and finally says, “Look, I am sorry, I am not having the best day as you can probably tell” the lady says. That makes the two of us. ”I am sorry.” The lady finally says and turns around towards the subway station.

Moonbyul watches the girl leave. Sigh what am I doing? “Wait! The lady in the suit!” Byul calls out to the lady and runs up to her. “I am sorry too, I am not having the best day either… um as an apology would you like to have coffee with me?” Moonbyul asks the lady.  She doesn’t seem like a bad person and i already missed my train… but she is a stranger, can i trust her? The lady thinks to herself. Moonbyul fidgets with her hands and her keys as she waits for a reply. “On the second note-”

“yes”

“huh?”

“Yes, I would like to have a coffee with you. I already missed the train and I don't feel like going home anymore”

“Are you sure? You were in a hurry just now”

“Yes. I know what I said and I mean it”This is strange, I am sure she was in a hurry. I was ready to be rejected…. oh well let's just have fun.  “Ummm would you like to go to the cafe down the street or have coffee at my apartment? I live right around the corner.” Moonbyul asks the lady. “Believe it or not I make good coffee” she adds.

The lady smiles “I like homemade”.

“I am Moonbyul by the way” Byul introduces to the lady as they walk towards her apartment.

“My name is Yongsun” said Yongsun as she reaches out her hand. Moonbyul shakes her hand and says, “Nice to meet you Yongsun, what do you do?”

“I am a senior in H-College and from tomorrow I will be a student teacher for a physics professor” Solar says.

“Wait! H-College? Thats my college! I am a junior there, wow such a small world we live in” Byul exclaims.

Solar chuckles at Byul’s exclaim and says “yes indeed.. I haven't seen you around the campus though, you sure it's the same college?” Yongsun asks in a teasing tone.

“HaHa.. very funny, I have part-time job at the cafe near there so right after classes I go there and work probably that's why you haven't seen me” Byul says as she is unlocking her apartment door.  They both enter Byul’s apartment. Byul turns on the lights and Solar sees the room light up with a mix of white and yellow lights. When they enter, Yongsun see the living room with a sofa, bookshelf, TV, and a working table with some papers on it. The kitchen is separated by a wall with a short window-like opening. Different portraits of space and skies are up on the wall. The walls are painted light blue and there is a grey carpet on the floor. The furniture seems brand new, as if not one soul has ever used it.  “Interesting place you got here” Yongsun says as she walks around the living room.

“Thank you. I try to keep it neat”
