Sparks fly (1/1)
Chapter 4Sparks fly As the rays of sunshine started bothering Tiffany's eyes, she scrunched her nose and stood up. Her weary face was suggesting some jet lag but after a yawn or two she got out of bad and streched her back, turning her body to the side and then with a jump she smiled. She felt rested, even refreshed. While making the bed she saw a piece a paper on the nightstand. My lovely, I didn't want to wake you so I left for work.Help yourself to anything in the house.I'll be back around 9 p.m. Krystal~P.S. Jessica is still sleeping in the guest room. Jessica...the body language reader. Tiffany shook her head as if trying to despise a thought. "Hmm breakfast" she whispered to herself and headed to the kitchen. She passed by guest room, stopping in front of the door for a moment. It wasn't closed, she could see inside. It was curiosity that made her go inside. Messy bed, upside down pillow with a sleeping mask on it and no sign of her flight companion. "Looking for something?" a voice behind her asked. Tiffany jumped and turned around, her eyes widened as she tried to catch a breath. "You scared me!" she almost yelled. Jessica chuckled with a half smile. "I'd say...C'mon, breakfast is ready" They both moved into the kitchen, Tiffany counting the tiles on the floor the whole time. The kitchen table was nicely set, unlike Jessica's bed. Perfectly round goffretes, two different topping, apple and orange juice, perfectly set plates, forkes and knives. "It all looks really nice." Tiffany sat down trying to adjust in her seat which didn't seem quite right. "Why are you nervous?" Jessica looked at her, sitting down herself and her head tilted to the side, showing interest in the other's thoughts. "I'm not nervous..." Tiffany stuttered. "You're making it to easy. You're just obvious." Jessica shrugged as she started eating. "Do you need someone more complicated?" the other pused her lips. "I don't need anybody." Jess smiled. They continued in silence. Tiffany using the fork with her right hand, keeping the left close to her body, while Jessica seemed comfortable, resting her head in her palm with her elbow against the table top. From time to time Tiffany caught a glimpse of Jessica's constant stare. It made her even more out of place. "Can I ask you a question?" Jessica finally broke the silence. "Okay." "Back in the plane. Why did you do that?" she looked to the left as if she had a flashback. "I did nothing..." Tiffany gulped. Jessica licked her lip and nodded, getting up and walking to the sink to wash the dishes. The other wasn't ready with her breakfast yet but she stopped to watch her, following her every move. It took only a minute until Jessica was drying her hands and soon walking towards her room but as she passed near Tiffany she stopped and looked down. Tiff looked up, not understanding. The other smiled and leaned down, her head tilted to the right as she left a small peck on Tiffany's cheek. Then she left for her room, closing the door. An hour later, Tiffany was on her computer in the living room. She wanted to go out and visit some tourist destinations but it had started to rain, so the Internet was the second best thing for her. She was watching a movie and quietly sobbing when she heard a door creek open and paused. Jessica came out of the guest room with a book in hand and moved towards her. "You okay?"she asked. "Just the movie." Tiffany pointed to the screen. Jessica sat next to her, legs crossed towards Tiffany, holding her book in one hand, rested on her thigh. It was The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. She peeked at the screen and leaned in,her shoulder touvhing Tiffany's. as she ran her finger over the touchpad to see the title. "Mm Remember Sunday, I've always wanted to watch it." she said. "It's only the beggining, want me to replay the first part?" the other asked. "Sure, if that's not a problem." Jessica left the book on the table. They watched the movie in full silence. Jessica seemed interest but what did Tiffany know, she hadn't studied body language andshe wasn't as observant as the girl next to her. Instead of focusing on the movie, Tiffany tried to think about the plane. She couldn't explain to herself why she did what she did. Why she asked Jessica to show her how it's done? Why her of all people, a total stranger? And why did she feel such an attraction to her...She liked how closed they were at the moment and she knew that if she made one wrong move, showing her attraction, Jessica would notice. That made it double more dangerous to be around her and double more desireable. She really really wanted to show the other girl she was somewhat interested but...Krystal...The film was about to end. It was now or never, Tiffany thought. She slowly moved her hand and rested it on Jessica's shoulder gently, biting her lip. Her heart pounded big time. For a moment she thought she had made the biggest mistake. But then... Jessica turned her head and looked at her and her hand. There was a smile in her eyes but her lips refused to give it away. They were slightly parted as if in a bit of shock. "I knew you were brave." she chuckled, making Tiffany take her hand down and stare front, blinking frequently. "Fuck!" she thought. She could feel her hands starting to sweat and then she felt Jessica's hand on hers. She was taking it. She was holding her hand. Tiffany looked back at her and she saw a smile on her face. Slowly, Jessica pulled her in and not long after, their lips touched and moved in perfect sync. As they backed out of the kiss, Jessica put a strand of Tiffany's hair behind the girl's ear. "It's okay" she comforted her. "I know how you feel." "How do you know how I feel when even I don't know how I feel?" Tiffany blinked. "You body gives away."Jessica replied, running her fingers over the other's arm. They stared into each other's eyes as the movie finished and it was intense. There was calmness, yet passion. Desire. Their attraction towards each other was more than obvious at this moment. They wanted each other but were restrained. Their moment was interrupted by someone entering. "I'm home!" Krystal yelled.
