Chapter 33 ~ Kim Hyuna (F (1/1)

Blackness. Are you alive? Beeping. Annoying beeping! Make it stop. It gets slightly faster. You’re breathing. Your chest rises and falls. You twitch your fingers. You flick your toes together. You slightly lift your knees. Not paralyzed. You move your head to the side just a little. You’re neck isn’t broken. What happened? Where are you? Why can you not see? You try to arch your back but there’s a weight on your side. You can’t move one of your arms. Panic. Why won’t it move?You search. Where are your eyes? How do you move them? You pry at your lids. Finally they start to move. They flicker open and you blink away the blackness. Bright lights are above you. They hurt your head behind your eyes. You look to your right. A room. A window on the side. Pictures. Where are you?“Mmm.” You moan testing out your voice.“Hyuna?” a small voice perks up and Miryo jumps up from a chair under the window.Miryo! Your eyes widen and you smile. Do you have a voice?“Hyuna are you okay?” Miryo half whispers to you as she comes closer.One of her arms is in a sling. She has cuts all down her other one. Even on her delicate face she has scratches and even stitches above her eyebrow. But she’s smiling. She looks so happy.“Wha-” you stop to clear your throat. “What happened to you?”“You threw me out a moving car don’t you remember?” Miryo smirks.Your eyes narrow and you frown. She smiles back.“It’s okay I’m fine!” she laughs. “I just busted my arm and got cuts all down my back! You should see it! It’s kind of cool.” She pulls her chair up next to you. “Lots of people have been sending me get better gifts. And you too, don’t worry.”You smile and close your eyes. Why are you so tired? What happened?“What happened?” you whisper.Miryo’s smile disappears and she takes your hand. She looks down at it as she talks.“You fell. You fell like… two or three stories or something. You landed on the top of an elevator or something. But, you broke some ribs. And they said you got a bad concussion. I was worried you would lose your mind… or like you know, forget stuff. But you seem okay so far. Do you remember anything?”You think back. What’s there to remember? You shake your head.“Oh so I guess they were right. Well, you fell and got some broken stuff and really bad cuts. They said you bled a lot and had to put a lot of stitches in your head. You got more than me!”“Why?” you croak.“Well, after you pushed me out the car I went home. Father was gone but mother was there. I told her, Hyuna. I just told her everything. And she brought me here. And on the way we called the police. I told them to talk to JunHyung. Mom said that the police and Beast, and BAP all went to find you and father. That mean guy, GDragon, and his gang, Big Bang all got arrested. The police took them all. They also took father. And BAP and Beast. But Beast was let go after a day. And then mother paid to let out BAP! Turns out that Guk didn’t have too bad a criminal record after all even though I thought he was a lot worse. But Big Bang can’t leave. And neither can father. Someone father works with is in big trouble! A good friend of father. He got arrested too and even gets a trial and all. Wow it was intense. You missed a lot.”“How long have I been here?” you ask.“You’ve been asleep for about three days now. Mother went to get some food. CL and Beast are here but they went for food too. Look at all the gifts everyone brought you!” Miryo twists in her chair and holds out her arms around the room. You don’t try to look around, you’re afraid to move.Then you remember. His shouts. His yelling. Him calling your name.“Where’s Yong Guk?” you ask.Miryo smiles and looks down at your other side. You follow her eyes and look to your side. The side that you couldn’t move your arm. Guk sits in a chair next to you. He’s leaning over you asleep. You smile and try to pick up your other hand. You move the hair carefully away from his face. He has stitches too. Cuts and bruises. But he looks… alright. He moans and fidgets in his sleep. You look up from him and around the room now. Behind him, lying across two chairs, is JunHyung. He’s asleep as well. Your smile gets bigger. Around the room are a lot of stuffed animals, food, flowers, cards, pictures.“Where’s the rest of BAP?” you ask Miryo.”She shrugs. “They were here. I don’t know where they went now.”“Oh.” You look back and Guk in silence as you smile.It’s all over isn’t it? Everyone is okay. And everything is going to be okay.“Well, I guess I’ll go look for them then.” Miryo smiles and gets up to leave.“Oh, Miryo you don’t have to-” but she’s gone.You smile and look back to Guk. You sigh in happiness.He moans and moves. His head rubs against your stomach and twists until his eyes are looking up at you. They stare at yours for a moment before they realize. Then they become wide and he sits up quickly.“Hyuna, you’re awake!” he nearly shouts. “How do you feel? It’s been so long! They said you wouldn’t remember me! Do you… do you remember me?”“Mhm.” You answer with a smile.He smiles hugely and leans forward to kiss your forehead.“Are you alright?” he asks.“I’m fine.” You answer. “How are you? Where’s… no burns?” you ask.He laughs to himself and takes your hand. “I’m fine too. Nope, no burns. There was no fire. Bastards tricked us with smoke bombs or whatever. Completely artificial. Should have known the difference.”A snore and a snort come from JunHyung in his chair and he suddenly wakes. “Uh, uh is she awake?” he asks sleepily.“Yeah.” Guk replies without looking away from you.“She is?!” JunHyung asks in disbelief as he jumps up and goes behind Guk. “Oh, she is.” He smiles at you. “How are you feeling?”“I’m fine. Thanks to you guys.”The two smile and glance at each other.“Wow.” You smile. “You two are getting along now?”“No.” Guk says at the same time that JunHyung says “Sure, why wouldn’t we?”The two look at each other again with narrowed eyes. You laugh but hold your side in pain.“Does it hurt?” Guk asks as he lightly touches your fingers.“Just a little.” You lie.The door to your room opens and a tall woman enters. She looks to be in her mid twenties maybe a little older. She’s pretty. She has long dark, wavy hair. It looks messy in a natural cute way. She smiles at you warmly and carries in a pot with one pink flower and one red flower.“Hello.” She says in a sweet voice as she sets the flower by the window. “You must be Hyuna. I’ve heard a lot about you.”She walks to JunHyung’s side and he smiles as he takes one of her hands. She looks at him and then back at you. He keeps his eyes on her. The way he looks at her. It’s the way Guk looks at you. You smile.“You must be Son Dambi.” You say. “I’ve heard about you as well. It’s nice to finally meet you.”She smiles genuinely and you return it. Interestingly enough, she doesn’t seem to hate you.Then there’s noise in the hallway. Loud talking. Arguing. Lots of feet. Then the door opens. The BAP boys come in carrying oversized stuffed animals and balloons. Half of them are laughing and the other half are arguing about something.“Hey, QUIET!” Guk reprimands them.Once they see that you are awake they become even louder.“Hyuna!”“You’re okay!”“How do you feel?”“How long have you been awake?”“Do you remember me?’“Yah, I said QUIET!” Yong Guk says again.The boys quiet down again. Then the door opens again and in piles the rest of Beast, Miryo and CL.“I found the others!” Miryo chimes.“Hyuna!”“Hyuna you’re awake!”“Are you feeling better?”“What hurts?”“When did you wake up?”CL rushes to your side and takes your other hand. You smile up at her as DuJun comes to her side. You laugh with everyone as they try to place food in front of you. The BAP boys place their gifs around you on the bed and tuck you in.The room is loud with all of Beast and BAP together. You look around at all their faces. You laugh and smile with everyone as you listen to their stories. You’re happy to hear you won’t have to deal with Big Bang anymore. JunHyung brings over a card from people in school. You laugh to see that the KARA girls all signed it as well. Then Guk slips you his own card. Inside is a portrait, hand drawn, of you. It’s you at the piano in your home. You’re smiling as you play on the keys. It looks just like you. You smile and squeeze his hand.You look around at the group. All your friends. Your family. You feel so unbelievably happy.You look at Guk to see that he’s already looking down at you. You smile and he smiles back. He gives your hand another squeeze and then leans forward. He kisses you lightly on your lips and the room seems to become quiet. Then you smile as you hear the whole room erupt with “Awe” and people laugh. You peak through one eye to catch JunHyung hold Dambi in his arms. She smiles playfully and he kisses her passionately.You smile and kiss Guk back and melt into him. Then everyone in the room disappears and it’s just you and him. Forever it’ll be just you and him.    ~THE END~
