Chapter 31 ~ Kim Hyuna (1/1)

The smell wakes you up. Your throat stings. Your eyes open but tears stream out. The air is thick and dark. You blink, wondering if your eyes are really open or not. You lie on your side. You sit up a bit and look down towards your feet. JunHyung sprawls out on the other side of the couch with a beer bottle in hand. You look up to see Guk’s head back against the couch. His throat moves with his snoring. And above his head… darkness. Blackness.Your eyes widen and you sit up. You look around. Everywhere. It’s everywhere. The blackness.“Guk…” you croak. Your throat hurts. You can hardly speak. A coughing fit takes over and you grasp your throat. Your lungs feel constricted. “Yong Guk!” you shriek. Still your voice is not loud.You smack Guk’s stomach and his head snaps forward with a loud snort. He blinks his eyes as tears streak his face. His eyes widen and he begins to cough. His hand grips his throat too. His head snaps towards you and you look at him with fear filled eyes.Smoke. SMOKE.Guk jumps off the couch, tossing you onto JunHyung’s stomach.“Unf!” JunHyung sits up and pushes you away as he grips his stomach. He starts coughing immediately. He looks around confused as he wipes at his eyes. He shoots a glance up at Guk. They both seem to understand right away.“Fire!” JunHyung yells as he jumps up. Another coughing fit takes over and he clutches his stomach.You start to cough and roll off the couch. Guk leans down with his shirt over his nose. He pulls your shirt over your nose as well.JunHyung rushes off towards the kitchen. Someone must have left the stove on!“Get out!” Guk yells through the thickness of the air.You cough and nod. He helps you up. Your ankle is still sore. Where are the others? The smoke is so thick. It burns. You crouch over as Guk leads you towards the hall to the front door.Then you hear it. The scream. The shriek. The blood-curling terrified scream. You stop in your tracks and stand straight up. Your instincts click and you shove Guk off of you as you bolt towards the kitchen.“Miryo!!” you scream as you run. The smoke is everywhere. Your shoulders bump into walls as you guess your way back.“Hyuna!” you hear Guk call from behind you but he seems distant already.Then there’s more. More shouting. More yelling. Movement. Movement everywhere. Who is it?Yelling to each other. Shuffling. Shouts. Shrieks. Yells. Things falling over. People coughing. Which sound is Miryo? Which dark figure is her? Where is she?!Another shriek to your left and you whip around. You run straight towards it. You trip over something and land face first.Someone trips over you. You twist around to see a wide eyed YoungJae staring at you.Not Miryo. You push yourself up and press on.“Wait!” YoungJae shouts but again he’s distant.Everyone is shouting. Some far away, some right next you.“Where’s CL?”“Zelo!”“HyunSeung is that you?”“Where do we go?”“Where’s the fire?”“Fire extinguisher!”“DaeHyun’s hurt!”“Has anyone seen Dongwoon?”“Hyuna!” That’s Guk’s voice.“Where’s the fire?” Junhyung.“Ahhhhhhhhhh!” Miryo!You whip to your right and run again.“Miryo!” you shout.“Hyuna!” Guk.“Miryo!” you again.“Hyuna!” CL from way back in the kitchen.“MIRYO!” you scream and cough at the same time.“Hyuna where are you?” Guk’s voice thunders from behind.Their cries dim out as you race on. You trip over anything underfoot. You run into walls. You feel like you’re trapped in a maze at times as you run into the same wall multiple times.“Help!” a muffled cry behind you now but not far. You stop and whip around. You can’t see more than a foot in front of your own face.Shuffling. Loud footfalls. Not careful. Big whatever it is.“Please…” Miryo’s voice is cut off.“Miryo!” you cry.Something big rams into your back. It picks you up from around the waist. You shriek as you feel like you’ve been hit by a car. A hand covers your mouth as you try to cough. You feel as if you’re suffocating. The figure moves fast with you. You try to break free from their grip but you are more worried about not breathing. The person rams into walls and trips and stumbles on the way. Soon you hear a crash and a door is broken in front of you. The figure jumps out the front door. How did you get to the front door? The figure tosses you and you sprawl down the stairs. You whimper and cry as you roll down all the steps. You feel parts of your body wet with blood and new pains ache in your back, side, arms, and legs, everywhere. You weakly try to get to your knees but you still can’t get the smoke out of your lungs. Your eyes water and you can’t see anything clearly.Two figures now take each of your arms and yank you to your feet. You cough and spit as you’re dragged over to a van and tossed into the back. More people enter and you feel the car roar to life and speed away.You cough more as you push yourself up, but there are others with you. Others keep pushing your face down into the bottom of the car. “I can’t breathe.” You gasp like a fish and clench your eyes as the hand forces your face down. “I can’t breathe!” you wheeze again.The hand releases and you gasp for air as you sit up and move against the wall. You blink the tears out of your eyes and look around. You sit against the back of the two front seats. TOP. TOP is sitting next to you. Glaring at you. He had been the car. He shoved your face into the ground. Seungri is on your other side. GDragon sits by the back door. Miryo sits on his lap.Your eyes widen as you stare at him in disbelief. His eyes. His eyes are on yours. His eyes look so cool. So calm. In control. You look like an animal. Wild. Crazy. You lunge towards him but TOP and Seungri yank you back down. GDragon chuckles. Taeyang drives the van. Daesung sits in the passenger seat.“Nice to see you again, Hyuna.” GDragon says calmly. Seungri chuckles.Miryo’s silent. One of GDragon’s hand cover’s her mouth but her eyes are panicked as they stare into yours. You try to soften your eyes. Try to make her tell her that it’ll be okay. But how? The BAP and Beast boys are lost inside their own home.GDragon smirks as you keep Miryo’s eyes on yours. His other hand trails down one of her arms and her eyes widen as she tries to squirm away from him.“Don’t touch her.” You growl. Your voice is still weak.“Aren’t you glad to see me?” GD asks looking back at you.You glare at him.“I missed you.” GD says in an eerie voice as he rests his chin on top of Miryo’s head.Miryo whimpers and he turns his attention back to her. “Shh,” he says as he pats her head. “This will all go quickly now. I’ve planned ahead. To think. This could have all been over and done with if only your sister didn’t cause so much trouble earlier.” He tsks and Miryo looks back at you with confused eyes.You lock onto her stare and shake your head.“It’ll be easy from here on out.” GD continues. You drown him out. You focus on Miryo. You try so hard to tell her what to do without speaking. You glance to your left and see TOP with his eyes on you. To your right Seungri goes back and forth between you and Miryo. Seungri sits Indian style. TOP sits with both his knees pulled up and his elbows resting on them. GDragon sits with one leg up that Miryo is leaning on. His arm rests on his knee and wraps around her mouth. You look over his arm and see the handle on the door. Then back to Miryo. She’s watching your eyes move. You go to the handle and back to her. TOP. Seungri. GD. Her. Door. You do the cycle more before stopping on hers and widening your eyes. She glances around and then returns to you. She seems worried. But her eyes squint and she barely nods. “…So you see why we have to do all of this…” GDragon continues with his little speech.You wait a moment. The car drives steadily. Straight.“Well, she’s quiet now isn’t she?” Seungri jokes as he looks at you.“I’ll get noise out of her.” TOP states.Your eyes widen. You look to Seungri and lock on his eyes. You wait. Hold his stare. And wait.A bump in the road bounces you but you use the opportunity. You use the moment and exaggerate the bounce. You fly over to Seungri and your fist collides with his jaw as your body lands in his lap.“Agh!” he groans as his eyes close and his hands go to his face.TOP acts quickly and lunges for you. You pull your elbow up away from his grasp and slam it back into his nose.“Ack damnit!” TOPs head is forced down with the impact as blood pours out. He shakes his head and you know he will be quick.You shift your feet out of Seungri lap and grab onto his shoulder. You throw yourself off of him and towards GDragon.Miryo had bit his hand as soon as the bump occurred. She was trying to twist out of his grasp.You lunge in the distance between GD and Miryo. You push your back against Miryo moving her off of GDs lap as one hand pushes into GDragon’s face. You shove his head against the back of the van as your other hand grabs onto the latch.TOP grabs your ankle and Seungri moves for Miryo. You throw the latch open and twist. You grab onto Miryo and throw her out the back. She screams as she falls out. The car screeches and swerves on the road but continues on.Everyone is yelling. TOP pulls you back into the van. You kick and scream and claw but he lies down on your back, forcing your face into the floor again. You cry as you hear the door slam shut.Everyone is yelling and swearing at each other but all you hear is yourself crying. Then you look up at GDragon. He glares down at you. He’s mad. His lips curl back over his teeth.You smirk.His eyes flash full of anger and then his lips twist into a mirroring smirk.“Good job, Hyuna.” He blinks. “You’ve just killed your own sister.”
