[M] Night Lights (1/1)
The days faded away and their adventures in Florida were going to come to a close soon. Suddenly it was their last night in the Keys, and they weren’t sure what to say to one another about it. They didn’t speak of leaving yet, just walked down the street together, hand in hand and enjoyed the soft breeze and sounds of the ocean.Eventually they arrived at a restaurant that Seulgi had found on one of their explorations in town. Walking inside the hostess greeted them with a bright smile.“Reservation for Kang,” Seulgi said in English.Wendy looked at her proudly and squeezed her hand. Seulgi looked back at her and nodded. The hostess picked up two menus and took them to the outdoor seating area. As they walked from inside to outside, Wendy was surprised at the view. It was oceanfront like their villa, but hung around the deck were thousands of twinkling lights, and lanterns that filled the deck with a rich orange glow.“Your server will be right with you, and the band goes on at 8:00, so don’t miss them,” the hostess said.“Thank you,” Seulgi said, “We’ll be sure to stay and hear them.”The hostess smiled, waved, and walked back into the restaurant.“I didn’t know there was going to be a band,” Wendy said.“I thought I’d surprise you,” Seulgi smiled. ----- The waiter came, and they ordered food and drinks, tropical ones with cheesy names and enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Eventually the band was set-up near the area they were sitting and began to play. It was mostly instrumental songs, but every now and then, they would call on a member of the audience to sing along to one of the better known songs. One person even came on and jammed on guitar with the band.Wendy looked wary as Seulgi looked at her nodded her head towards the band, as if to ask if she wanted to be next up to sing with them. Seulgi held her hand out and smiled.“I’m not getting up there,” Wendy said.“No, I know,” Seulgi said, “But would you like to dance?”Wendy smiled, and blushed at the mistaken thought, “Sure…and sorry.”“It’s okay,” Seulgi said. ----- After a few dance songs, a ballad began to be played, and Seulgi held Wendy tightly. The lights, the drinks, and the ocean breeze were all in perfect combination, and Wendy felt high from the feelings it brought her. She wrapped her arms around Seulgi’s neck, leaned in, and whispered.“I’m going to miss this.”And though they still had a week left of the vacation, Seulgi knew exactly what Wendy meant. ----- The pair danced along with several other couples who waivered in and out of their visions. The edges were blurry for Wendy, and she wasn’t sure if it was due to the drinks or the fact that time seemed to move slower when they were in each other’s arms. By the time they left the restaurant it was 11:30., and they were drunk on each other. They walked home, in mostly silence until Seulgi spoke up, “It was really nice dancing with you, and the band was good.”“I know,” Wendy replied, not sure what to say in return. Their last night here had come too quickly and now they weren’t sure what to do. They avoided the inevitable and walked home only thinking of their time dancing in the glimmering light of the restaurant deck. ----- Seulgi sat sullen on their back porch and listened as the waves crashed heavily against the shore. They had arrived home and separated as soon as they stepped through the door. Wendy went to change her clothes upstairs, and Seulgi walked out to the deck to think. She sipped lightly on a bottle of beer she’d gotten from the fridge in passing, and held it over the arm of the chair, letting it dangle in the air, barely in the grasp of her fingertips. She really had no right to be feeling this way, but since their walk home, a strange pall had come over them, and Seulgi was trying to figure it out on her own before talking to Wendy. Seulgi began to think of leaving behind the little corner of the world they had grown accustomed to over the past seven days, but then reminded herself that Hawaii was next, a paradise in its own right. America’s paradise. But this spot—the spot she was sitting on now—was the one Wendy had picked out. That made it special, and who knew when they would ever be able to come back. That thought set Seulgi on edge. She took another sip of beer and thought some more. The waves, which had calmed her all week were beginning to taunt her, and she didn’t like it.Soon Wendy walked down the stairs and looked out the door to the deck where she saw a pouting Seulgi. Wendy smiled to herself and walked out of the villa to join her outside.“Why do you look so sad, baby?” Wendy asked.Seulgi looked over to the voice, shocked to hear something other than the ocean, “You scared me a little bit, Wan-ah.”“Sorry,” Wendy replied.“It’s okay, come here and join me,” Seulgi said. She put the beer down on the railing and beckoned Wendy over to her.Wendy walked over to Seulgi and sat down on her lap, “Is this okay?”“Perfect,” Seulgi said.“So, why did you look so sad a moment ago?”“Oh, I’m just sad to be leaving,” Seulgi said.“We still have Hawaii,” Wendy answered.“I know, but soon that will be done too, and it will be back to the daily grind of business,” Seulgi said. She wrapped her arms tightly around Wendy’s waist, “This is the place you picked out, and I’m not ready to leave yet. I’m not ready to go back home.”“I know, I’ve been thinking about that myself,” Wendy said.“That’s a little heart-breaking,” Seulgi replied, “We can’t even enjoy our last night without thinking of leaving. I don’t want to think about how I’ll be when we have to leave Hawaii. What’s that saying, “Hate to see you go, but love to watch you leave,” Seulgi said in English. It provided a small amount of humor to the serious talk they were having.“I don’t think that’s exactly what you meant to say,” Wendy said, laughing lightly.“I think I’m a little drunk,” Seulgi said, “Just ever so slightly. Those tropical drinks we ordered at dinner were deceptive. I couldn’t taste the alcohol at all. But anyway, I do like watching you leave, especially in those jeans you wear.”Wendy laughed and hugged tighter to Seulgi“Sorry if I’m dampening the mood, I’m just a little sad to go,” Seulgi said.“You’re not dampening the mood, you’re making me laugh and forget about leaving tomorrow,” Wendy replied.“I just want to enjoy the moment.”“Then let’s enjoy it,” Wendy said, “Let’s not think about anything but each other. Let’s forget about the travel back home for a little bit.”“How do we do that?” Seulgi asked. ----- Wendy stood up from the deck chair and pulled Seulgi with her. Seulgi left the half-drunk bottle of beer forgotten on the railing, and cozied up to her girlfriend. Wendy hummed a song that sounded eerily similar to one that had been played at the restaurant, and Seulgi felt warm in Wendy’s arms. This was where she belonged.Wendy smiled when Seulgi shivered as her song vibrated against Seulgi’s neck, “Dance with me,” she said. Wendy momentarily stopped humming and leaned back to look at Seulgi, “Let’s forget for a while.”Seulgi held Wendy tightly and buried her head in Wendy’s neck this time. In the midnight moonlight, they danced to the rhythm of the ocean hitting the sand. They danced until Wendy began to caress Seulgi’s sensitive ears and pulled her face in line with her own.“Kiss me,” Wendy said. And without a single word, Seulgi leaned down and kissed Wendy. She tugged at Wendy’s lips and boldly used her tongue to ask her mouth for entrance. Wendy moaned and let Seulgi in.As they kissed, Seulgi began to work her hands down Wendy’s body until they were even with the back of her thighs. In a sweeping motion, Seulgi picked Wendy up and invited her to wrap her legs around her waist.“You’re so strong,” Wendy murmured, obliging Seulgi’s silent request. She hooked her feet together behind Seulgi so she wouldn’t slip.“Mmmhmm,” Seulgi agreed as she worked on Wendy’s neck.“Take me inside,” Wendy said.Seulgi stopped kissing and leaned back to look at Wendy with deep, dark, sensual eyes.Wendy smiled lightly and kissed Wendy’s nose in a sign of pure affection, “Take me to bed.” ----- Seulgi surged on top of Wendy, she moved her hips rhythmically and held onto one of Wendy’s legs that was wrapped around her. Wendy leaned up from the bed to kiss her, to encourage her, and Seulgi continued to move.“It’s…amazing,” Wendy said as she let go of Seulgi’s lips.“You are,” Seulgi simply replied. The feeling of being this close to someone was something Seulgi didn’t think was possible. But now, in the throes of loving Wendy, she realized that these feelings were real, valid, and the truest she had ever known.Wendy moaned as Seulgi continued to move. She gripped tighter to Seulgi’s back and neck, wherever she could find purchase to help her deal with this storm of pleasure that was white hot in her belly. Seulgi had brought her to the brink moments before and now, behind her eyes, were stars, pin pricks of light that were all her girlfriend’s doing.Eventually Seulgi released too and collapsed to her side so as not to crush Wendy.Seulgi breathed heavily, “Are you….?“So good,” Wendy whimpered, “I’m so good right now.”“Same here,” Seulgi said, “Perfect. Did you forget what was supposed to be forgotten?”“I-I think I did,” Wendy joked, “At least during that, it was wonderful.”“Want to forget again?” Seulgi asked.“Yes,” Wendy said eagerly, and Seulgi literally pulled Wendy’s body over to straddle her own much like she had just done to Wendy. ----- The cascading morning light hit them again as it had before, but this time it was the light that told them it was time to leave. The day before, Wendy had packed their luggage and now they need only get up, put on their clothes and check out. A plane to Hawaii would be ready for them in the afternoon.Seulgi brushed the hair from Wendy’s face as she continued to sleep. A piece stuck to Wendy’s nose, and it wrinkled at the feeling as Seulgi attempted to brush it away as well.“Baby,” Seulgi said, trying to gently awaken Wendy, “It’s almost time to go.”Wendy’s eyes clinched, and then she frowned, “Really?” her voice was deep, affected by sleep.“Yeah, I know it’s tough to leave, but we’ve got a plane to catch soon.”“I’m going to miss this,” Wendy whispered.“I will too,” Seulgi said, “But we still have time left, let’s just enjoy it like you suggested.”“Okay,” Wendy smiled, “We still have Hawaii, and I have you right?”“Always,” Seulgi replied, “You’ll always have me.” === Eighteen soon, please anticipate ;)Thanks for reading!
