Comfort (1/1)

(Still Diary Entry) I spent the night, writing the note in my best handwriting, and I decided to add a little extra something to my school uniform. It was my mother's broach, a pink flower that she gave to me, before she got ill and passed. It was my good luck charm and I needed all the luck I could get.  Seunghyun was at my apartment's door the next morning to walk with me to school. He lived only a couple blocks away from me, and his father was a daily costumer at my father's store. Other than me, he didn't really have any other school friends. He had a hard time making new friends, and he usually stuck with the friends he got. But he was popular with the girls. Every once in a while, a new girl would approach him and ask him out. He would always deny, and he never really told me why either.  Seunghyun smiled bitterly when he spotted my broach.  "Why are you wearing that?" Seunghyun asked, handing me a banana. He expected me not to eat breakfast, as I never did when I was nervous for school. He began to notice after a week of exams in our second year of school.  I nodded gratefully, and forced the banana down my mouth. "It's my good luck charm. You've always known that. Why the sudden interest?" I asked, with my mouth full. He rolled his eyes and scolded me. "Yah! Kim Miyung~ How many times have I told you not to eat with your mouth open?" He sighed and tossed me his handkerchief. "It's not lady-like." "Aish. Look who's talking." I dabbed at my mouth with his handkerchief, and stuffed into my pocket. "You always talk with your mouth full around me. Why can't I?"  "Because, you are like my little sister." He sighed. "It just means I'm comfortable around you." "Are you saying I can't be comfortable around you?" I pouted. "Fine, oppa. I'll stop calling you oppa, and I'll call you sunbae. I'll stop using informal speech, and I'll never call you for help and…" He stopped me by pinching my cheek. "Aigoo. Why are you so cute?" His arm slipped around my shoulder, and we continued to walk towards school.  At soon as lunch started, he found me and pulled me aside. "Are you ready?" he said, smiling. I swallowed and nodded. "It's now or never, Kim Miyung." I felt so stiff as he pushed me down the hallway. He told me advice as we walked. "It's all in the timing, you've got to be quick, yet make it memorable." "Why are you so nervous oppa?" I asked seriously, clearly beyond nervous. "Are you confessing to him too or what?"  He ignored my words and gave a final little push towards Ji Oh. "Hwaiting, Miyung!" He smiled sadly, before disappearing to the cafeteria.  I shook my head and slapped my cheeks, taking in a deep breath. I took out the note before approaching Ji Oh.  "Annyeong, Ji Oh." I bit my lip. He smiled before turning back to the ladies next to him. He ignored me, but I had to be persistent. "Unnies, can I talk to Ji Oh alone?" As soon we were alone, I handed Ji Oh the note, giving him no chance to speak. My heart beat so fast, I felt like dying.  I watched him open the note and read it. He had almost no emotion on his face. Was he happy? He faced me, and opened his mouth to speak. "This is weird."  "What?" I asked. Was it my hand writing? He smirked before handing the note back to me. My heart sank. "You hoped I would get together to you, just by writing?" My cheeks turned a bright red. "I don't go out with just anybody. I have high standards. Well, I'm too good for you." He chucked before patting my head. "At least you tried. That's one thing I like about you." Just like that, it was over. He left me there shocked, and my heart broken. I couldn't cry, not a single tear fell. As if without a soul, I walked slowly down the hall, my mind replaying what had just happened. Seunghyun spotted me, and smiled. "Seeing, you have no emotion on your face, probably something really good happened." He chuckled, staring at me. I shook my head, as Seunghyun's face formed a worried look and he pulled me into his arms.  The tears burst, as Seunghyun cooed quietly. "Sshh. Aish, Miyung-ah, I told you to be careful. I told you not to trust him." "You were right, oppa." I said in between sobs. "I was stupid not to believe you." "No, no." He sighed, pulling me down to sit on a bench. He pushed my head onto his shoulder and patted my back gently. My head fell onto his lap, after crying for more moments. He stroked my hair, and whispered. "Just sleep, Miyungie. I'll make you happier after a nap." I said nothing and closed my eye, thinking how lucky I was to have him as my friend.  "Komawo, oppa." I whispered.  He whispered something back, but I couldn't hear him over my snores.   End of Diary~ Hehe. I hope you guys enjoyed the little past story. :3 Its a little filler.
