chapter six (1/1)
oh gosh, i'm totally worthless - i haven't updated for about... well yes, three months. i can explain (well actually i can only come up with couple of exuses that are true, but doesn't really excuse anything) firstly i had a minor writer's block and then a great number of other troubles decided to join in, so yes - here we are. i hope you haven't gave up on me just yet, though i would really not be surprised if you did.and really, i have to express sincere gratitude towards all who reads this story (even though it probably sucks and has about a million mistakes in every chapter, yao) and thanks for all the comments - it truly means a lot okay.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CHAPTER SIXMrs. Kim decided it would be the best if we began with a simple art project that was supposed to ‘build the team spirit’ (yeah right - more like kill it). After she finished with all the explanations, Jongin grabbed my wrist and dragged me into the corner on the other side of the ballroom.“You better have some qualitative ideas for this one, freak.” he murmured, his voice some kind of a mix between annoyance and contempt. Was he frightening me? Oh yes. Did I let that to shut me down? Oh no. It is true that I had to have a little prep talk with myself before I managed to open my mouth, but let’s just ignore these unimportant little details, okay?“I have a name you know.” I said, praying for a strong determined voice that would keep Jongin from noticing just have much he actually scared me. Weird enough, this time I actually got what I wanted - which probably just meant, destiny was about to find another, even more unpleasant way of screwing me over.“Maybe. But freak suits you much better and that is how I’m going to call you - i suggest you to deal with it.” he answered, arms crossed on his chest.“Oh. Well if that’s the way you want to play, then I am going to call you jerk.” Yeah, I have no idea where my courage came from. I was probably more surprised by my own words than Kai, who just raised his left eyebrow and gave me a critical stare, before he decided I wasn’t worth of his time and walked away with; “I really couldn’t care less freak.”He stayed with his friends for the rest of an hour, and you can believe me when I tell you that was more than just okay with me. .....“Looks like your luck is changing – you’re still alive. I wonder how long it will last though.” greeted Luhan, when I sat down on my usual spot next to him.“Good to see you too Luhan.” I groaned. “And thank you for being so god damn sympathetic. It truly means a lot.”“Oh I know, I’m a true saint.” he chuckled.“More like a devil’s spawn.” I murmured darkly.“Who is devil’s spawn?” another, not completely unfamiliar voice suddenly joined the conversation and almost made me fall from my seat. Jongin. Perfect. Just perfect. Was my life ever going to get any better? Could the day possibly get any worse?“Not your business.” I hissed.“Oh, so you weren’t talking about me?” he didn’t seem angry, just… amused.“News flash jerk, you are not the centre of the world.” I answered, probably getting all the courage from the fact that there was a teacher in the classroom. Not that that would actually save me if Jongin decided to do something about my suddenly too sharp tongue.“Sure I am.” his lips curled into even more unpleasant smile than his usual ones – well if that is even possible of course. “I’m the center of this world.” he slightly raised his hands, before he ducked towards me. He stopped when he was just a couple of inches away from my head and whispered; “Just deal with it, freak.”He sent me one of his typical smirks, before he turned away and strolled towards his seat, which was – thank god - on the other end of the classroom.“What just happened?” I asked once I was sure he couldn’t hear me.“Well…” answered Luhan, closely observing his nails. “I’d say there are only two possibilities; he likes you, which is – no offence – very very unlikely, or he has just declared a war.” "First of all... wait... what?" i sttutered while staring at Luhan with wide eyes. "Well you did kind of offended him you know." answered Luhan. "I saw him destroy others for less.""Great. This is just... great." was suddenly all i could say.
