A Volleyball game (1/2)

Taemin woke up to the sound of feet bounding down the stairs and clattering coming from all around the house. He could hear Yoonyul screaming at the top of their voices for everyone to wake up. There was a bang as his door swung open and Yuri skipped into the room.

‘Seohyun made breakfast today~ So hurry up and get dressed. Wooyoung-shi said he found a great part of the woods for all of us to play,’ she sang before turning around to leave.

‘Noona?’ Taemin called.

‘Yes?’

‘Who is it that is making us wake up so early? We’re on holiday! We should be able to sleep in!’

‘Ah… well, I think it was Key. He was the one that came into our room to wake us up. If you don’t want to get up, you don’t have to– but then you’ll be all alone at the pension house for the whole day,’ Yuri said and walked out the room.

‘Aish, Key hyung! Ahh… might as well get up, I don’t want to be left alone all day and I won’t know where they went,’ Taemin grumbled to himself before jumping out of bed.‘I wouldn’t do that if I were you,’ Jonghyun whispered.

‘No you wouldn’t, but you’re not me,’ Yoona whispered back.

‘She’s going to scream. I never wake her up, she wakes up on her own,’ Jonghyun told Yoona.

‘But if we don’t wake her up, she’ll be left all alone at the pension house and won’t know where we went.’

‘I’ll stay behind and when she wakes up, we’ll go together.’

‘But do you know where the place that Wooyoung-shi is taking us to is?’ Yoona asked.

‘Ahh… good point. Well then, in that case, go ahead but don’t say I didn’t warn you.’

‘Here goes…’ Yoona took a deep breath and began screaming for all her worth.

‘Urghh…’ Jessica groaned and covered her ears.

Yoona stop screaming and said, ‘Sica unnie, if you don’t get up I’m going to get cucumbers and attack you.’

Jessica glared at her but reluctantly pulled herself out of bed and marched downstairs towards the smell of Seohyun’s wonderful cooking.

‘How did you do that?! The first time I tried to wake her up was the last. She is scary,’ Jonghyun asked in surprise.

‘The cucumbers are the key,’ Yoona smirked at her brother-in-law and followed Sica.‘Great job in getting the last few people up, unnies,’ Seohyun praised Yoonyul once everyone was seated and eating breakfast.

‘Hey! I was the one that woke most people up, including those two themselves,’ Key cried.

‘But you didn’t wake up the harder ones. Besides, you interrupted all of our beauty sleeps,’ Seohyun said.

‘It’s a waste of a perfectly beautiful day if we slept through it,’ Key answered.

‘Just a few more hours wouldn’t hurt anyone, Kibum,’ Sungmin said.

‘I’m sorry! Gosh… Sooyoung woke me up before sunrise and I didn’t want to wait until midday to wake you all up. Just be glad I didn’t wake you all at sunrise and let you sleep a little more.’

‘And the diva has come out… watch out, guys, he might attack you any minute,’ Jonghyun stage-whispered.

‘Shut up, Jonghyun. Or I tell everyone about what happened the summer we stayed at the Busan lake house,’ Key snapped.

‘Yes, Kibum,’ Jonghyun answered obediently and looked down at his plate.A few hours later, after cleaning up and a long hike up the mountain and through the forest, they all arrived at a small waterfall hidden deep in the woods. Underneath the waterfall was a very small lake that opened up to a little stream, leading out towards the main river some kilometres away. Rocks lined the edge of the small lake and trees bordered the small area.

‘It’s so pretty,’ Sunny breathed.

‘And smells so fresh,’ Tiffany added.

‘This is amazing after being so shelter all our lives!’ Taeyeon gasped.

The guys all looked at each other, their fiancées were so simple and now they knew how to please them.‘Let’s play a game!’ Taemin said, excitedly.

‘How about a game of volleyball in the lake?’ Nichkhun asked and whipped out a volleyball from the bag he and Yoona had dragged here.

‘Is it okay to go into the water?’ Seohyun asked cautiously.

‘There aren’t any animals to bite,’ Onew teased.

‘I don’t think that’s what she meant, Onew-shi,’ Kyuhyun said.

‘Call me Onew since we’re only a year apart,’ Onew said.

‘Ah, yes… Onew. Anyway, Princess, you don’t need to worry. The water leads away to a river that doesn’t cross the paths of any towns or villages and straight into the ocean. So we don’t have to worry about getting the water dirty since it’s no one’s drinking water,’ Kyuhyun said.
