Love is an emotion experienced by the many and enjoyed by the fewLove is when the other person's happiness is more important than your ownBaekhyun smiled as he read the quotes. He didn't know why he was so obsessed with love quotes, but it helps him through life, but it can never give him what he wants. He wants to feel things, to feel love, not just see them or read them. He wants to be able to experience things he never did before. All he wanted was love, but he had no idea what it was. Of course, he did research about love, but he still doesn't understand. But life is too short, life can never give you what you want, you just have to make it happen. Sometimes, Baekhyun wished he could feel love for a lifetime.His best friend, Kyungsoo tells him when love comes, it comes naturally. Love is in the heart, love gives you strength, love gives courage, love gives you happiness. Kyungsoo's been in love, yes. He knows what it feels like, he knows all the symptoms, everything. Little did Baekhyun know, Kyungsoo was in love more than once. Kyungsoo's been heartbroken, been screwed up, been emotionally messed up, but Kyungsoo was the strongest person he knew. It never occurred to Baekhyun that Kyungsoo was falling in love with someone once again, someone he never met, but could somehow picture him with all the descriptions Kyungsoo threw at him. He just wished he could be in Kyungsoo's place and feel love.  But love comes like a dream but leaves like a nightmare    ******************************     "Please, Baekhyun! It's for a few minutes! And then you can go back to your stupid research report. Just, please! I really want to see him!" Baekhyun sighed, "Kyungsoo, please. If you really want to see him, ask Luhan to go. I'm pretty sure he's not busy." Kyungsoo was bothering him once again to meet his crush. He didn't want to go because he has a research report to finish. He needed only 3 more pages to type. Baekhyun was a good student. Unlike Kyungsoo, he can maintain a high GPA.Kyungsoo didn't give up. "I think you'll think he's a great guy! Here, if you help me get with him, I'll help with your love problems." Baekhyun looked at his laptop and back to his best friend. He actually liked the idea. Instead of nodding, he pushed Kyungsoo and retrieved his shoes. "Thank you! You're the best," Kyungsoo said happily, giving him a tight hug. They entered the bubble shop where Kyungsoo's crush works, the place Baekhyun loved to go. The bubble shop was pretty crowded, it was one of the most popular shops in the whole town. He can already taste and smell the refreshing aroma, urging him to buy a small drink, yet he didn't bring any money. "Kyung! Where is he? I thought you said-""He's over there! You see him? Isn't he cute?" Kyungsoo smiled as he pointed to a tall, lanky, and messy brown-haired guy who was the cashier. Baekhyun was sure he saw him around before, maybe school? He didn't know but wanted to find out. He did think he was cute, but he was way too tall. He stood out, which Baekhyun didn't hate it, but it made him think otherwise, he was way too tall for Kyungsoo. "He's way too tall for you Kyungsoo." "Ugh, no he's not. Let's get in line. I'll buy you a drink because I'm pretty sure you didn't bring money with you. Like always."Baekhyun nodded and smiled sheepishly. "Hey, Kyungsoo! I'm glad to see you!" The cashier said as we approached. Kyungsoo blushed as he waved. "Hi, C-Chanyeol!" Kyungsoo stuttered but kept a smile on his face. "This is Baekhyun, my best friend." He pointed to Baekhyun. "And Baekhyun, this is Chanyeol." "Hi, Chanyeol," Baekhyun said, smiling to the tall guy. Chanyeol turned to Baekhyun. "Hey, Baekhyun. So what would you guys like to drink?"Kyungsoo smiled at Chanyeol as he ordered. "A taro and strawberry drink with bubble."Chanyeol smiled as he got the order. "Coming right up. And Kyungsoo, we should meet up soon okay?"Kyungsoo blushed and nodded. Baekhyun watched the whole thing and rolled his eyes. "I guess I was no help. But anyway, I hope you guys last." Baekhyun said as found an empty table and sat. Kyungsoo was probably gonna be dating that guy in a few days, and he was once again gonna be a loner for the rest of his life. "Hey don't be upset. I'll still help you fall in love with someone." Kyungsoo said as he patted Baekhyun's shoulder. Kyungsoo knew he needed to help his friend out, but he was so overjoyed about spending time with Chanyeol.     *******************************    Both Kyungsoo and Baekhyun had bumps and hardships with their vowed friendship. But they always forgive and forget. Their friendship was just something special they cherished. Their friendship couldn't be broken no matter what because there was no possible way it could be broken in the first place. They wanted their friendship to last forever, even if they piss each other off and make mistakes. They could never get mad at each other, but they do put up fights, but in the end, they always make up. Because friendship was just something important to them. They both met when Baekhyun was at the mall with his younger cousin, Jongin, and they bumped into Kyungsoo. They both wanted the same shirt, but it was the last shirt so they fought over it. Jongin told them they could buy a different shirt so they could both wear. They both decided on a blue shirt and then they became friends. It was really ironic really, they both fought over something, but in the end, they made up and became friends. Kyungsoo never had a good relationship with Baekhyun's cousin, Jongin. More in the term of hatred with each other. They always fought, but Baekhyun always thought it was cute. Years later, Jongin left to go to America to pursue an acting career, the boy loved acting. Kyungsoo was upset about Jongin leaving, but he never admitted he missed him. But Baekhyun knew he missed Jongin, deep inside even if he had hated Jongin. And from then on, Kyungsoo said he never wanted to see Jongin again. Life was cruel he said. Baekhyun thought that maybe Kyungsoo had loved Jongin. Just maybe.     ****************************    A week has passed ever since that encounter in the bubble shop. Kyungsoo went on 2 dates and Baekhyun was still lonely. He was happy for Kyungsoo and he wished the best for him. He did find out that Chanyeol attended their school and was the basketball captain of his team. He was also in their grade, a junior, and one of the tallest guys in their grade, no surprise there. Baekhyun was walking to his AP Calculus class when he was grabbed by the arm by someone he knew very much. No, other than his best friend. "He asked me to be his boyfriend!" Kyungsoo said happily. "And I'm guessing you said yes.""Yup."Baekhyun smiled because his best friend is officially dating Park Chanyeol, the school's basketball captain. This was going to be a start of a very beautiful relationship, he thought.     **********************************    Just a few days ago, Baekhyun got to meet Chanyeol officially. It was by accident, though. During lunch, Baekhyun decided to go to the library to return some books and check out a book called "Into the Wind." It was the book that his honors English class are reading. His teacher told his students to check out the book at a library so they could do their homework assignment. He walked in the library and put his books in the return pile and went into the non-fiction area. Baekhyun walked into the aisle and he almost tripped, but someone caught him. His best friend's soon to be boyfriend. Baekhyun looked up to see a tall and fluffy hair guy who was wearing glasses, but he was so close to his face, probably 2 inches away. "Are you okay?" He whispered.Baekhyun nodded. "I'm fine." Baekhyun loosened his grip and the taller guy lets go. "Hey aren't you Baekhyun?" Baekhyun nodded. "Yeah. So what are you doing here?""I always come here. I'm not just a jock, I'm a good student too. I'm here to check out a book called "Into the Wind." My teacher said to check it out, so I will."Baekhyun smiled. So Chanyeol was a good student who goes the library often. Not only that but he was in honors English just like him. "So you're in honors English? I am too. I'm also trying to check out the same book."Chanyeol smiled. "Yeah I'm in honors. I've always been in honors."Baekhyun nodded because he's always been in honors too. Something they have in common. "Me too."Chanyeol looked back at Baekhyun and smiled really big. Baekhyun thought that smile could light up a whole world. "That's great. Anyways, I'll tell you a little secret," Chanyeol nodded at him to sit at an empty table to his left. They both sat down."No one knows I come here often. All my basketball friends think I'm a regular jock who spend times hooking with girls which comes in the term of a player. But I've never had sex, I'm a virgin. They don't think I'm that smart. Anyway, I've always had the highest scores in all of my classes, which is all advanced classes I take. Especially in my AP Calculus class. I love math, I really do. But you know what, doing these things don't give me happiness." Chanyeol finished and looked at Baekhyun nodding. "I see Chanyeol, you're not what you seem, or what your jock friends define you are. But what will give you happiness?"Chanyeol looked down at the table and then up to Baekhyun, a smile playing on his lips. "Kyungsoo." Baekhyun smiled and nodded. He knew that Kyungsoo could give Chanyeol happiness. "Then I give you permission to do what you desire. Ask him out.""Thank you Baekhyun. You know, you're really small, I find that cute. But I prefer Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo is worth it."Baekhyun was dumbfounded. He didn't know how to respond. He hated when people called him small. He looked at Chanyeol and gave him a pout."I'm not small, you're just too tall. And yeah, Kyungsoo is worth it."Chanyeol chuckled when he saw Baekhyun pout. "Wish me luck with Kyungsoo. I hope to see you soon." With that, he stood up and left the library. Baekhyun stood up and went back to check out "Into the Wind." He remembered Chanyeol was gonna check out the book, but there was only one copy left. He smiled because he let him have the last book. Chanyeol was a great guy, Baekhyun thought.     ***********************************    "Hey, Baekhyun!' Baekhyun turned around to see Suho running towards him. Suho was a good friend of his, they've been friends for a long time."Hey, Suho! What's up?""Not much, I wanted to hang out with you. Where are you going?""I'm just going to meet up with Kyungsoo right now. He's at the bubble shop with Chanyeol."Suho nodded as he followed Baekhyun. "So can I come? I think I could use a drink." Baekhyun nodded and smiled at him. Suho has a crush on him for about a long time, but Baekhyun just never cared nor returned his feelings. He only thinks of him as a friend, he wished Suho would understand. They arrived at bubble shop and met up with Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo was with Chanyeol near the corner of the shop. "Hey, guys. I brought Suho with me," Baekhyun said as he approached themThey smiled. "Hey, Baekhyun. And hey Suho.""Hi, guys! I heard the news. Congrats guys!" Suho said as he sat on the empty seats across from Kyungsoo and Baekhyun sat across from Chanyeol. "Thanks, Suho. So have you found anyone special?" Chanyeol asked. He has a break so he was able to hang out with them. Suho nodded and tilted his head in the direction of Baekhyun. "Yeah, I just hoped he would feel the same." Chanyeol turned to Baekhyun and nodded.Baekhyun looked down at the table to avoid looking at Chanyeol and Suho. He hated where their convo was going."You know Homecoming is coming up in a few days, maybe this could be your chance Suho." Kyungsoo smiled at Suho but eyed Baekhyun. Chanyeol looked at Baekhyun and then at Suho. "Yeah, you never know until you try."Suho nodded and looked at Baekhyun. And then both Chanyeol and Kyungsoo looked at Baekhyun. He could feel the tension as he looked up. He sighed. "So Baekhyun. You know I like you a lot, so will you go to homecoming with me?"Baekhyun looked at Kyungsoo and gave him the "I'll kill you later" look. Then he turned back to Suho. He knew he had to say yes or Kyungsoo will beat him with a frying pan for rejecting Suho, the school's vice president. "Yes Suho, I would love to go with you," Baekhyun said through clenched teeth. Suho smiled, really really big. Baekhyun turned away.Kyungsoo smiled. "Well so Baekhyun has a date to homecoming, but I don't," Kyungsoo said as he looked at Chanyeol. Chanyeol looked back and gave him a look. "But Kyungsoo, you know your date is me.""You didn't even ask me." Chanyeol sighed. "My beautiful Kyungsoo, will you have the honor to be my date to homecoming?""Of course Chanyeol, it would be an honor," Kyungsoo said as he smiled.Both Baekhyun and Suho looked at them and rolled their eyes.     **********************************    "Wow Baekhyun, you look spectacular! I think Suho will drool over you," Kyungsoo said he checked his best friend. Baekhyun smiled and he looked at himself again. It was his first time going to homecoming with a date. He's been asked before, but he always rejected everyone because they don't interest him. But with Suho, he knew he should give him a chance. He just hoped they don't fucking kiss tonight because he did not want his first kiss to be with someone he didn't have feelings for. He didn't know what was gonna happen.He looked at Kyungsoo and his outfit. "You don't look too bad yourself. But I'm pretty sure Chanyeol WON'T drool over you," Baekhyun emphasized the word won't as he fixed his hair. "Shut up Baekhyun, Chanyeol would totally drool over me." Baekhyun chuckled as he looked back at Kyungsoo."So when's Chanyeol coming?""I'm already here" the low voice both shocked the two guys. Kyungsoo turned around and hugged his boyfriend and kissed him, more like jumped on him and shoved his tongue down his throat. Baekhyun looked away, it didn't bother him that they did these things, it's just he had to get used to it. "Alright guys, if you guys are done, let's go now."Kyungsoo jumped down and smiled. "Yeah, let's go."They arrived at homecoming and greeted Suho. Suho was dressed up in a dark blue suit that made him look fit and charming. Baekhyun smiled as he approached Suho. Suho actually looked great and handsome up close. "Hey Suho, you look great." Baekhyun smiled at Suho."Thanks. You too.""Have fun guys. We'll see you guys later. Don't have too much fun!" Kyungsoo shouted as he dragged Chanyeol away. "So let's go Suho," Baekhyun said as he hooked his arm on Suho's arm.After a few minutes of talking and drinking, Suho pulled Baekhyun on the dance floor. "So how do you feel about this?" Suho asked."Dancing?" Baekhyun thought about how they were swaying on the dance floor with Suho's hand on his waist. He didn't hate it, it just felt different. "It feels different.""Is that a good thing?""Yeah, of course. You're actually the first guy I said yes to."Suho nodded. "Really? So you rejected everyone? Wow, I feel special." Baekhyun laughed, but he still smiled. After a while, they got closer and closer, but Baekhyun was not even aware. They were only an inch away from each other until Suho leaned in and almost touched his lips. Baekhyun reacted quickly and shoved him off, harshly."I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"Baekhyun cut Suho off. "I...it's ok. Um, I'll just go now." Baekhyun didn't want to be kissed by him, but he didn't know why he was so upset. Baekhyun ran out of the gym as tears made its way down his cheeks.Chanyeol watched the whole thing, he could feel his heart ache when Baekhyun ran off. He walked up to Suho when Baekhyun left. "Hey what happened?""I almost kissed him. I didn't know. He never had his first kiss before, I wanted his first kiss to be with me."Chanyeol nodded. He looked at the gym door and looked back at Suho. "I'll talk to him. Tell Kyungsoo I went to get fresh air when he comes back from the restroom." Suho nodded. Baekhyun ran out towards the field and sat down on bleachers. He hated life. He put his legs up to his chest and started crying. He hated how he couldn't like Suho like he likes him. He was upset that he couldn't return his feelings or anyone's feelings. He sometimes thought he could never fall in love, or even like someone. Throughout all his life, he never had someone special, never even dated or kissed. He just wished this will all change tonight, but life can never give you what you want. He felt nothing when Suho touched him, talked to him, or even smiled at him. He just felt friendship, but nothing more. "Baekhyun!" He kept silent as he heard a low voice calling him out. He knew it was Chanyeol, but he wondered why he was looking for him. He hid his face in his knees and cried. All he wanted was to love, he wanted what Chanyeol and Kyungsoo has. He felt helpless. After two minutes, he felt someone sit beside him and hug him. He looked up to see Chanyeol hugging him and cried harder. "Baekhyun, are you okay?"Baekhyun turned away. Chanyeol held onto Baekhyun and turned him around. He lifted up his chin and wiped away his tears. "Baekhyun. Don't cry. Tell me what's wrong."Baekhyun looked up at Chanyeol. Chanyeol looked concerned and caring. "What are you doing here? Go with Kyungsoo." Baekhyun sputtered at his face. "No, Kyungsoo will be fine. I just want to know what's wrong with my boyfriend's friend. Is that wrong?"Baekhyun shook his head. "What's wrong is me. I can't seem to feel anything. Like I'm lifeless."Chanyeol hugged him tighter. "Keep talking""I want to be able to feel things. But I can't seem to feel anything. I want to feel. I want to fall in love, but my heart tells me I can't fall in love. Something's wrong with me. Throughout my life, I could never feel love, never even kissed or had a boyfriend."Chanyeol nodded. "Baek, it's ok. To be honest, Kyungsoo is my second boyfriend. My first never gave me happiness, but with Kyungsoo, it's different. I feel like I'm a different person around him. He changes me. But you know love will come to you when you're ready. Just wait Baekhyun."Baekhyun cried harder as Chanyeol brushed his hair out of his face. He lifted up Baekhyun's chin, "Baekhyun, don't cry over something stupid. Here, come closer." Chanyeol pulled Baekhyun closer until they were breathing on each's other face. "I'll tell you a secret. Don't tell Kyungsoo. I didn't fall in love with Kyungsoo yet. Kyungsoo fell for me. But I'm starting to fall for him, though. I like Kyungsoo a lot, but love and like are totally different. I wanted happiness. Kyungsoo, he's different. But I never believed in happiness until I met him."Baekhyun looked up, shocked but nodded. He understood. Kyungsoo gave him happiness, but he's not in love with Kyungsoo yet. Kyungsoo was his best friend, but he didn't know if he could tell him anything. "I understand."Chanyeol looked away and back at him. "So you never had your first kiss?" Baekhyun was shocked at the sudden question but shook his head anyway. "Do you want to know how it feels like?" Baekhyun thought about it and nodded. They stared at each other for awhile until Baekhyun started feeling something in the pit of his stomach, butterflies. Before Baekhyun could do anything, Chanyeol leaned down and captured Baekhyun's lips in a passionate kiss. Baekhyun knew this felt wrong, kissing his best friend's boyfriend, but he could feel his world stop at the very moment, he felt something he never felt before, he didn't know how to explain it. After a few seconds, Chanyeol pulled away. "Come on. Homecoming is not over yet." Baekhyun nodded as he looked at Chanyeol. Chanyeol was confusing him and but he couldn't think clearly. His first kiss just happened and he did not know how to feel and what to do.As he walked beside Chanyeol, he realized something. This was all wrong. He finally felt something, but the feeling was what he didn't expect. At the first kiss, he felt something that melted inside him that hurt.  ***********************************  Hi guys!!! I wanted to try something new. And sorry if you weren't expecting this.
