My Cute Date (1/1)

My Cute Date Forfirith 24230K 2023-11-02

I checked over my appearance one last time in the mirror. Hair? Good. Makeup? On point. Good. I’m ready to go on my first date with Jungkook! I grinned to myself as I read through our last few messages again. I had started texting Jungkook the day after my date from hell. We had hit it off straight away, he’s super sweet and older than I thought. He has such a baby face! It’s been a week since then and we’ve arranged to go on our first date. I checked my reflection one last time before heading out the door. I checked the time as I got in the elevator. Still got plenty of time. I put on my headphones as I left my apartment building. It’s freezing! I pulled my jacket closer around me as I hurried towards the park. I arrived at the park with five minutes to spare. I doubled checked Jungkook’s last message. Jungkook: Nuna~ I’ll be waiting for you by the fountain in the middle of the park! I made my way through the park, hopefully going the right way… ah! I saw Jungkook waiting for me, right where he said he’d be. I pulled off my headphones, putting them safely away in my bag. My steps subconsciously sped up as I headed towards him. He turned towards me, his face lighting up in a smile when he saw me. He waved to me and I raised my arm to wave back. Unfortunately, I was so busy looking at Jungkook I didn’t notice the big patch of ice right in front of me. If this was a movie, everything would have turned into slow motion. Unfortunately for me, this is real life. I walked right into the patch of ice, my feet flying out from under me, arms flailing like a mockery of a ballet performance as I landed straight on my back. I felt the air force its way out of my chest as I landed on the cold ground. I actually heard Jungkook laugh from all the way over here. Damn. Why can I never look cool in front of him? If I’m not being felt up by pervy weirdos, I’m making a complete fool out of myself by trying to re-enact Swan Lake on ice. Jungkook’s laughing face appeared over me. “Nuna, are you ok?” he asked in between chuckles. I felt a blush cover my face. “No.” I mumbled as I tried to sit up, my hand slipping from underneath me, sending me back down to the ground and sending Jungkook into another laughing fit. “Nuna, you’re so cute!” he said as he offered me his hand. I took it gratefully and he pulled me to my feet. He helped me brush the snow off of my clothes. “I could not be any more embarrassed.” I mumbled. Jungkook’s face appeared in front of mine. “No need to feel embarrassed nuna, I think you’re adorable.” I shoved him playfully. “Come on, let’s go.” I said, shooting him a grin. The rest of our date progressed smoothly. I managed not to make a complete fool of myself! We walked around the park, admiring the wintery view. After that, Jungkook took me to a lovely little café near the park. Then we visited a video game shop and he annihilated me at Mario Kart (I need to practice!). Then we had the best Sundubu Jjigae I’ve ever tasted! We were walking back through the park, smiles on both our faces. “I’ve had a fantastic time today.” I said, smiling up at him. “Really? Better than your last date?” he asked with a chuckle which made me weak in the knees. I punched him in the arm, “Please never mention that date again.” I said with a smile. My phone beeped with a message. I pulled out my phone to see a message from Jin asking me how the date was going.  I was in the middle of replying when all of a sudden, I was hit on the back with a snowball. I slowly turned around to see a grinning Jungkook. “You did not just hit me with a snowball.” I said, my tone dropping. Jungkook just grinned back at me. I put my phone back in my bag before dropping it to the ground. “You are so dead!” I cried as I crouched down, grabbed a handful of snow and launched it at him. My attack caught him by surprise, my snowball hitting him squarely in the chest. “Yah!” he cried while I cheered. “Are you sure you wanna do this?” he asked as he crouched down, hands already forming his next snowball. I answered him by launching another snowball at him. This set off what can only be described at the best snowball fight in the history of snowball fights. Ten minutes later, I was hiding behind a tree, my hands freezing from making so many snowballs, but having the best time ever. I risked a quick look behind the tree and couldn’t see Jungkook anywhere. Where did he sneak off to? I was so busy trying to find him, I didn’t notice the sneaky little bugger creep up behind me. He put his cold hands on my neck, making me scream, and him laugh. “Ok, ok, you win!” I cried as he moved his hands to my cheeks. I smiled up at him, god he’s gorgeous. “What are you thinking about nuna?” he asked, his hands still on my cheeks. “Just thinking that today has been awesome.” He raised an eyebrow, “Is that really what you were thinking?” I giggled, “Why? What are you thinking about?” I asked. “About how I am so happy you came into that restaurant when I was working. That I can’t believe how lucky I feel that you actually sent me a message after I slipped that note into your coat pocket. That I can’t believe that I’m on a date with someone as awesome as you.” I felt a blush stain my cheeks, “Jungkook…” “Nuna… can I kiss you?” he asked, his voice barely a whisper. I nodded and he leaned down, our lips meeting in a gentle kiss. His cold hands caressed the side of my face, one of them pushing my hair behind my ear. My hands wrapped around his waist. His lips were soft and gentle against mine. We finally separated and he rested his forehead against mine. “Wow…” he breathed. “This is definitely the best date I’ve ever been on.” I said with a smile. “Just wait until you see what I have planned for the next one.” He said as he took my hand and started leading me out of the park. Next time? He’s already planned our next date? “I can’t wait.” I said as I rested my head against his shoulder. Definitely the best date ever...
