EPILOGUE (1/1)

[CONTENTID1] Epilogue [/CONTENTID1][CONTENTID2]It had been half a year since Baekhyun proposed to Jongdae.  Yes, half a year.  A long time, yet each day was getting closer to the ultimate goal: the wedding itself.   They could’ve gotten married sooner, but Jongdae insisted on everything being absolutely perfect, and Baekhyun insisted that his fiancé have his way.  If one could only document the things Jongdae had to organize, they would have written an entire novel of things, no matter how big or how small.   At last, Jongdae was in the dressing room of the venue, staring at his reflection in the mirror as his stylist added a bit of makeup to make his skin glow.  He stared into his eyes, wondering how on earth he could be sitting there when he was so broken a little over a year ago.  He smiled at his reflection, causing his stylist to smile as well. “You must be happy, Chen-ssi,” the stylist said. He looked at her and nodded.  “I am.” The stylist grinned.  “Then I’m happy,” she said.  She reached over in her backpack in the chair next to her and pulled out a small gift.  “Congratulations.” “Oh, you didn’t have to,” Jongdae said.  He let out a small sigh.  “Thank you.” The door opened, and they turned to see Baekhyun standing in the doorway, looking as handsome as ever.  Jongdae found himself blushing as he walked over and placed a kiss on his cheek. “You ready, love?” he asked him. Jongdae nodded.  “Yes,” he whispered. Baekhyun ran his thumb along Jongdae’s neck.  “You look beautiful.” “Stop it,” Jongdae said teasingly, gently pushing him away.  “You and your smooth tongue.  Save that for later.” Baekhyun stole a quick peck from Jongdae’s lips.  “See you outside.” Jongdae watched as his fiancé exited his dressing room and sighed once he was gone.  The stylist continued her work until she was finished, and Jongdae escorted her out, telling her he saved a seat.  Once he was alone in his room, he felt the empty void beginning to devour him. He never fully healed from the events of the past years, from the pressure of performing to the drama of him and Baekhyun.  He had read so many hateful comments, gotten so many hateful glances, and was nearly shunned from the entire k-pop artist community.  As he came out with the shocking news that he and Baekhyun were a gay couple, some fans were over the moon while others were disgusted.   He had kept his feelings inside all this time.   He closed his eyes.  The same doubts circled in his head once again. Is all of this worth it in the end, Jongdae? Does Baekhyun really love you? Even if you’re happy now, you’ll be sad later. He looked at his reflection and shook his head.  “Yeah, I know,” he said to himself. His mind flashed back to his brief conversation with his mother. “You’ll always lose things in life, love, and at the same time, you will always have to solve those problems.” He whirled around at the sound of the door opening, only to see Bora. His heart stopped with fear.  “B-Bora…” She walked over and placed a small gift in his hands.  “I know you didn’t invite me, and I understand why,” she said.  “But I just wanted to come here and give this to you.  And…I wanted to apologize.”
