"Momoring! Welcome back!"Momo closes the door behind her back and throws her keys to some random place, she knows she'll regret it tomorrow morning when she can't find them. The house she shares with Sana is small, barely two rooms: one works as a kitchen and dining room while the other is a perfect bedroom. Sana's excited steps echo along the wooden floor while Momo gets rid of her beloved cap and hangs it near the front doorSana immediatly flies into Momo's waiting arms, her hands laced behind the alpha's neck. Sana lets out a happy giggle when Momo places her hands on her waist and twirls her around before kissing her cheek"How was your day? Jihyo treated you well?"Momo nods looking at Sana with loving eyes that only make the omega giggle again"She's really kind. It seems I'll take care of a few things while working for her but they're nothing out of this world. I'm excited for that"Sana only smiles and she takes Momo by the hand pulling her into the kitchen table where two empty chairs wait for them along a table filled with all kinds of food, so much that it seems like they're about to feed an army. Momo opens her eyes wide, after this long day she's obviously hungry and wants to devour whatever it's in front of her"Did you cook all of this?""Not all of them" Sana smiles again "My mom send you some food. I visited my parents today and well...they know you love food"Momo lifts one of her eyebrows sitting on one of the empty chairs while she grabs a set of wood chopsticks. The alpha immediatly grabs one of the plates giving a clear sign that she won't share it with Sana"You visited Osaka?""Mhm""What for? Only for your parents?""No, I...I heard the american orphanage needs some caretakers and I thought I'll could apply for the job"With a gentle smile, the alpha nods and pats the empty seat right next to her. Sana immediatly obeys and takes her own plate along with a new pair of chopsticks"You didn't tell them you were an army medic, right?" Momo said with her mouth full of food, she chewed a bit before continuing "If you did, they would've hired you on the spot"Sana laughed out loud and shook her head from side to side"No...I don't wanna scare anyone""I'm glad you found something good. It kinda made me scared if you had to go back to the army hospital because I don't care how much you love your work, I'm not letting you go back after that crazy alpha almost kills the psychiatrist"Sana shrugs on her spot, her gaze on her lap as she remembers that dark moment of her life when she felt genuinely scared. She never was so scared for her life like that day when a recovering soldier lost control, his alpha scent filling every corridor in the hospital and making the omegas weak to their knees. With a knife, he cut two fingers off a male nurse and almost killed the psychiatrist until the security guards shot him down"I still feel bad for that man" Sana mumbled "He didn't deserve to die like that""You can't save everyone, sunshine" Momo caressed the omega cheek with the back of her hand "Even when you're a doctor""It's something I understand, Momoring but it still hurts...sometimes"Shifting her chopsticks from one hand to the other, making her eat with her left hand, Momo grabbed Sana's hand from under the table while she kept eating everything she got her eyes into. Sana smiled softly and continued with her own foodMomo wasn't precisely an alpha that always showed emotions and maybe it was in her nature, much different to Sana whom, as an omega, was always sweet and happy. But those perfect opposites were the reason why they attracted each other like magnets. They couldn't stay away from each other. Sana was addicted to Momo's peach scent just like Momo got used to Sana sweet apple auraIt's been a week since they moved to Tainano. They lived in Kyoto for some time before travelling to Osaka. Sana was a doctor and, as the war roared, she specialized in the army field so her residence constantly changed. When the omega wanted to start a new life with Momo, she left behind her hectic profession for something easier, far from the countless deaths she had seen. Sana never said this before but she also wanted Momo to recover in a quiet, peaceful place. After all, the doctors said the memories would eventually come backThat day when they met, when Momo entered the Kyoto hospital with a deep, bleeding gash on her stomach made by a bayonet and a bullet wound on her leg, Sana never imagined she would end up on a relationship with the alpha that suddenly lost her memory. Sometimes, fate seemed to had its own plansMinutes after they were done eating, Momo was leaning on the chair with her hands on top of her stomach"Ugh...I'm so damn full""Oh Momo" Sana giggled and leaned to kiss the alpha cheek "You always eat like there's no tomorrow and then complain about the stomache of the century""Shh, the food was amazing. I need to visit your mother next time I go to Osaka. Might as well die on a full stomach"A brief silence reigned between them. Said silence was common but only showed the intimacy among them. One silent moment never reflected awkwardness"Momoring""Yes?""If the orphanage gives me the job...you think we can finally start a family?"Momo looked straight into her lover's eyes, blinking slowly"You said we should wait some more"Sana nods. Her hands reach for Momo's face, cradling it between her palms"It's a goverment job. You know they'll pay me well and we might have a house wherever we want to"The alpha still looked dazed. Sana felt herself blushing furiously out of embarassment"Maybe I'm going too fast...""No, no, no" Momo shook her head and caressed Sana's cheeks with her thumbs over and over "I thought you were doing this for me but if that's what makes you happy then let's do it"Sana's face was bright, shining just like the 'sunshine' Momo compared her to"You know the only thing I want is for you to be happy" The alpha mumbled "Right?""Thank you, Momo" Sana hugged her lover, hands tightly gripping her back "It means a lot to me"Momo softly patted her back, like lulling a baby"Hey...everything I do, I do it for you. In fact, I wanted to steal some oranges from Jihyo's trees but I forgot"Sana's laughter was enough to fill Momo's heart with peace and she promised to keep that smile safe whatever it takesThe smell of food and coffee are two of Mina’s favorite things. Waking up to them in the morning it’s the closest thing to a dreamThe sun is already out by the time Mina wakes up, is a rare sight for her. She’s used to look up at the sky when it’s still dark with some leftover starts shining one last time before the morning light devours them. The spot beside her on the bed is empty and carefully done, a clean set of clothes are neatly folded for her by her pillow and the citrus scent around them makes her smileMina takes the clothes and gets dressed in front of the mirror. Combing her hair and tying up into a ponytail before stepping out towards the delicious smell of breakfast. The omega stops by the kitchen door threshold, arms crossed across her chestJihyo carries Chaeyoung in her arms, singing one of the baby favorite songs while she stirs something on the stove. Chaeyoung is happy to listen to her song, Mina can see it in her beautiful dimpled smile and little hands clapping to the melody that Jihyo perfectly sings. The omega thought it many times but maybe it's time she says it out loud: Jihyo could be the best singer around town"Mommy!" Chaeyoung squeals and wiggles her way out of Jihyo's arms. The alpha turns around with a smile and puts the girl on the ground before returning to whatever she's cooking“My beautiful Chaeyoungie” Mina coos, filling her daughter’s cheeks with kisses and making her laugh a little more “Did you sleep well, baby?” Chaeyoung nods “Okay then, give mommy a morning kiss”Chaeyoung does just that, placing a wet kiss on Mina’s forehead before the omega puts her on the ground and lets her wander around the kitchen. Chaeyoung finds her favorite stuffed tiger near the front entrance and goes back to play near her mothers, sitting under the table and getting lost in her own worldMina wraps her arms around Jihyo’s waist and leaves a kiss on her neck, below her ear, before resting her chin on her wife’s shoulder“Good morning, love” Jihyo greets her with a smile. Mina can finally see what she's cooking: a vegetables and chicken soup "How did you sleep?""Very good. I think I needed the late night workout"Jihyo giggles before turning off the stove and turning around to look at her wife face to face. Mina immediately lures her into a deep kiss, a clashing lip game they soon ends to avoid getting too distracted from what really matters. An excited cry from Chaeyoung tells them their daughter is still playing safe and sound"What are you doing here?" Mina asks as she tilts her head "Didn't you open the bakery today?""Since we have an extra pair of hands I think Jeongyeon can help me with the bakery while we work in the orchard and the orange trees."The omega completely forgot she was supposed to share her workspace with Momo from now on. Just thinking about it made her feel nervous. The memory of Momo's blank stare made her shiver. Jihyo frowned in concern and stroked her arms up and down."Love, are you okay? You are trembling""Jihyo, I..." Mina tried to hold back but a few tears sting at the corners of her eyes. She was mad at herself. She shouldn't show herself like this in front of her wife and much less with these kind of memories but she couldn't help it, she felt fragile again. Jihyo didn't deserve this and Mina was close to telling her the truth. Momo was just the beginning of her troubles. Alphas were still a sensitive topic for herHowever, it seemed that her alpha could read her as one of those many books she was fascinated with and lived to read from time to time"Mina, it's okay" Jihyo buried her face in the crook of Mina's neck using her nose to scent her over and over again and calm her down in the same way she calms Chaeyoung after a nightmare "It's okay, love. In the same way she did last night and many others before"You're gonna be okay""Good morning!" A voice outside broke the tense moment and got a genuine laugh from Jihyo followed by a smile from Mina "Miss Kitayama!"The alpha just leaned in to give Mina a new kiss and caress her cheek"Go to work, love. I have something to talk with Momo"The omega didn't know what she should say, her entire body was still paralyzed by fear and anxiety after seeing the person she swore eternal love years ago. However, knowing the promise that she would be cared for by Jihyo and that she wouldn't stop loving her no matter what, gave her a little reassurance about the uncertainty surrounding her"Chaeyoungie, come here"Chaeyoung immediately obeyed and took Mina's hand who started singing the song Jihyo forgot moments ago and walked in the direction of the orange trees they had in the backyard.Jihyo took a deep breath and left the house with a smile, finding Momo in the front garden under the cherry tree that decorated the entrance as she fanned herself with one hand. As soon as Momo saw her, she bowed"I'm really sorry, I lost my keys at my house and I couldn't find them"Jihyo just laughed and shrugged, motioning for Momo to follow her. Surrounding the house, both alphas reached the back where the orchard was. Chaeyoung was playing near Mina who was cutting some oranges, the girl was entertaining herself playing with a ball and running from one side to the other"This is the place where you'll work most of the time unless I can't attend the bakery then I'll see you there" Jihyo put her hands on her waist and sighed "I'm sorry I couldn't explain this to you yesterday but... you know what happened"Momo nodded understandingly"It's okay. Don't worry"After a short silence, Jihyo choose to say things frankly."Listen, Momo. I have something to tell you and I would like you to keep it in mind from now on"The ex-soldier stared at Jihyo“My wife, Mina, isn't very good at dealing with alphas. She doesn't like their presence and she tends to feel anxious when one of them is around. I'm not going to allow any mistakes with her and much less with my daughter, understood?"Momo nodded but her eyes challenged Jihyo. Maybe it was her alpha pride that wouldn't get trampled on by another of her own kind.Of course Jihyo wasn't going to be dominated either. Her citrus scent played havoc with Momo's peach one"If you dare to put a finger on her, I'll kill you with my bare hands"Mina turned around to look at the scene when the combination of scents reached her carried through the air. Even little Chaeyoung, who was not yet presented to her second gender, seemed confused and sniffed the air like a cute puppy."Hey alpha!" Nayeon's voice interrupted the silent battle taking place between the two alphas who broke their gaze to see the woman walking towards them. Nayeon gulped when she saw Momo but neither of them noticed “Oh! Hey Momo! Good morning"Momo answered with a tip of her cap"What's up?" Jihyo felt her anger gradually cool down and ignored the feelings of competition that erupted as she looked at the other alpha in the house."Kamichatani-san called me just now, his wife is about to give birth. Jeongyeon was supposed to go with me but the coward is afraid of blood. What do you think? Care to go with me?"The alpha rubbed her forehead and shrugged"Yeah, sure... She worked all morning in the orchard (staying as far away from Mina as possible) and she needed some fresh air now that the sun's rays were fiercest. She ditched her cap and ran a hand through her dark hair to wipe off the sweat running down her foreheadShe looked up at the clear blue sky. Not a single cloud in sight, a sign that it wouldn't rain soonShe wondered what Sana was doing right now. Her lovely omega said she would go back to Osaka to wait for a response to her job application and that later she would visit her patients at the hospital in Kyoto.At the thought of Sana, she felt a smile on her face. Momo placed the cap on top of her eyes and her hands on her stomach ready to take a nap under the cherry tree and perhaps dream of the most beautiful woman in the worldWhen she was about to fall asleep, she felt a small bump on the sole of her shoeShe quickly uncovered her eyes and came across the adorable image of Chaeyoung running towards her. The girl was holding a stuffed tiger in her arms and chased the rubber ball that fell near Momo's feet.The alpha took the ball in her hand and Chaeyoung smiled wide at her as she brought one of the tiger's ears up to her mouth."Hi, princess" Momo greeted and waved the ball in the air "You wanna play?"Chaeyoung nodded and jumped up and down throwing the tiger to the ground and getting ready to catch the ball. Momo found her adorable, she almost wanted to scream. The girl was just beautifulBoth were playing for a while to throw and catch the ball. Momo was thankful her reflexes were still good or then Chaeyoung would have hit her several times in the face, she still couldn't measure the strength on her throws even when Momo returned the ball as softly as she could"Good catch!" Momo made the girl laugh after she is almost dived to catch the ball “So… you like baseball as much as I do, huh? I like you hehe I think you and I will get along better than me and your mothers"Getting on eye-level with the little girl, Momo put her favorite cap on Chaeyoung's head who smiled at her again.“You really are adorable. I hope my daughter looks like you... well, I actually want her to look like Sana but I hope she's just as cute as you are. You can be friends when you're older!"Momo caught a whiff of Chaeyoung's scent: a soft smell of strawberries. In a way, it made her feel nostalgic even though she didn't really know whyHowever, the alpha didn't expect Chaeyoung to throw her arms around her and give her a big hug. They were both strangers after all. Even if they just played catch right now, it didn't mean they met before. Besides, Chaeyoung looked like a shy girl."Chaeyoungie!
