(GD's POV)Neira died at 6:30 am just as the sun's golden rays were beginning to peek in through her bedroom curtains. My arms trembled as i hugged her body against me, still feeling the warmth of her skin on my chest.That day, I cried like a baby.I clung to her limp body as though I could somehow force the life back into her, to keep her from fading away. But it was as though I was trying to keep water from spilling out of a cup with a crack in it.Wiping the tears from my cheeks I kissed her soft lips and whispered, "I LoVe yOu..."~~~~~At The Funeral~I rubbed the small, round object in my hand, feeling it's smooth sides and rough edges. Carefully, I hooked it onto a silver chain and clasped it around my neck.I admired Neira's ring as it sparkled in the light.This is where Neira's heart will be. When I gave her this ring, I had promised her my life and even though she's gone her memories will still live on inside of me.Putting on a brave smile, I squatted down and rubbed a hand across the soft dirt that now entombed her coffin.
