Wheres Woohyun? (1/1)

Woohyun was still reeling with adrenaline as he hurried off the stage after the performance. He desperately wanted to see Sunggyu so he could hug him and kiss him and tell him he was the best boyfriend ever. But sadly, Sunggyu was dragged away by staff for his encore performance, so Woohyun was left standing backstage alone. He smiled sadly.“Oh well…” He looked down. “I can see him later.”Suddenly his phone buzzed in his pocket and he had to step outside to take it.++++Two weeks later…“And I haven’t seen him since then.” Sunggyu finished his long story about how he hadn’t seen Woohyun since the concert, leaning back on his palms on the bed. “I mean...what do you think that means?”“Appa…” Hyun Su sighed and swiveled around in his chair, putting his crayon down on the desk. “How should I know? I’m seven.”Sunggyu sighed. “Sorry.”“But gross ahjussi loves you. He wouldn’t just leave you forever.”“Yeah…” Sunggyu looked down, fiddling with the edge of his shirt. “Its just…maybe I went too far? You know with the whole bringing him up on stage thing…”“Gross ahjussi loves attention so that’s probably not it.” Hyun Su stated matter-of-factly, making Sunggyu chuckle.“Are you sure you’re seven?” Sunggyu smiled.“Yes appa, and I’m very busy you know.” Hyun Su pouted and turned back around to focus on what he was doing at his desk.“Doing what?” Sunggyu scoffed, peering over his shoulder. “Isn’t that a coloring book?”“I’m creating art appa.” Hyun Su stated, while he masterfully colored in a yellow sun. “See?” He pointed to a picture of two meerkats. “This is you, me, and gross ahjussi.”“But there’s only two.” Sunggyu blinked.“This is me and gross ahjussi.” Hyun Su pointed to a meerkat with black hair scribbled on its head, standing next to a smaller meerkat, also with black hair. “And this is Gyu appa.” Hyun Su then pointed to a hippo in the water beside them with red scribbles on it’s head.“Yah.” Sunggyu frowned. “Why am I a hippo?”“Because,” Hyun Su glanced up at him. “You’re the biggest.”Sunggyu rolled his eyes. “Well fine, but what’s this red stuff?”“That’s when Gyu appa had red hair.” Hyun Su beamed. “When I first met appa, it was this color.”“Ah…” Sunggyu smiled, patting Hyun Su’s head. “You liked it like that?”Hyun Su nodded. “Gross ahjussi did too.”“He did?” Sunggyu raised an eyebrow. “Yah, how do you know that?”“Because gross ahjussi said he likes red.” Hyun Su explained.Sunggyu shook his head. “Its always gross ahjussi this or gross ahjussi that…yah I thought I was your favorite appa?”Hyun Su tilted his head, as if contemplating who his favorite was. “Hm…” Then he looked up at Sunggyu. “I just miss ahjussi…he used to tell me funny stories.”Sunggyu smiled slightly and stroked the boy’s hair. “Yeah I miss him too…”“Ahjussi will come back!” Hyun Su shot him a look of determination. “Don’t give up on him!”“Yeah.” Sunggyu nodded. “I won’t. Thanks kid.”But inside, Sunggyu was still worried. He hadn’t heard from Woohyun in two whole weeks. He tried calling and texting him, but got nothing at all. He tried calling Dongwoo, Sungyeol, Hoya, and even Myungsoo. But they all merely said he was fine and mostly really busy and they hadn’t seen him much either. But Sunggyu didn’t believe that. He didn’t believe Woohyun would be so busy that he wouldn’t even return his calls or reply back. Even if he was deathly tired from overwork, Woohyun always sent Sunggyu at least a goodnight text. After the concert, Sunggyu immediately got off the stage to look for him, but his manager told him Woohyun had left. When he didn’t say why, Sunggyu felt more than a little disappointed. He had been planning their performance for weeks. For weeks, he imagined about how happy Woohyun would look after getting off the stage. He would be standing there with the biggest smile, and immediately hug Sunggyu. That was what the older had hoped for. He knew Woohyun was a person that loved positive attention from others. Who didn’t? But it was almost like Woohyun depended on it sometimes.Sunggyu, himself, did care about what others thought about him, but not to such a degree where it would affect his life choices. As long as he felt it was the right choice, he would go along with it, and hoped that his loved ones would understand. That was how he had lived his life, so it was difficult for him to understand Woohyun sometimes. Woohyun, who got so happy, he smiled the whole day when some perfect stranger off the street declared their love for him and the latest movie he was in. Woohyun, who became empty like a broken toy whenever he got a rejection from a casting director or hateful comments posted about him on some gossip website. That was the kind of person he was, so Sunggyu figured bringing him up on stage where thousands of people would cheer for him, would make him happy. It would make him genuinely smile. And maybe it would score Sunggyu some extra time in the bedroom—but it wasn’t like he did it for that. (Though it wouldn’t be a bad thing).“Ah, Sunggyu-sshi,” Nara, Hyun Su’s adopted mother walked in. “Are you going to stay for dinner?” She smiled.“If it’s not too much trouble.” Sunggyu smiled back politely.“Will Woohyun-sshi be joining us?” Nara asked.“I don’t think so.” Sunggyu averted his eyes.“Aw that’s too bad.” Nara pouted, appearing much younger than her actual age. “Daniel-ah is also busy working late…”Sunggyu nodded, glancing at Hyun Su. “I guess it’ll just be the three of us then.”++++After dinner, Hyun Su, being the avid drama watcher he was, parked himself in front of the television for his primetime dramas. That left Sunggyu sitting with Nara at the kitchen table.“So how’re things with Woohyun-sshi?” Nara asked, picking up the dishes and heading for the kitchen. “I heard he’s been distant lately.”Sunggyu helped her out, grabbing the glasses and following her.“Yeah, he won’t respond to me at all…I’m really worried actually.” Sunggyu pursed his lips. “Its not just these past two weeks…lately, we haven’t been getting much time together. Sometimes we don’t get to see each other for weeks. I mean we try to schedule in time, but it’s really hard to do, especially since we don’t live together and we can’t go out like normal people.”Nara nodded, seeming to be pondering this, as she placed the dishes in the sink. “Have you ever thought about leaving the country?”“What?” Sunggyu frowned. “I can’t live somewhere else, its—.”“Not to live.” Nara giggled. “I mean for a vacation…you know? Like a honeymoon?”Sunggyu blinked. “Honeymoon?”“I mean if you think about it, aren’t you and Woohyun-sshi basically the equivalent of a married couple?” Nara shrugged. “And when couples get married they go off and have a honeymoon. Plus if you’re in another country, maybe you won’t be bothered as much, and could act more freely?”“So you’re saying…for me and Woohyun to go on a vacation together?” Sunggyu tilted his head. “I never….really thought about that. I mean it would give us some time together. And we could maybe even go out on dates and stuff.”Nara nodded. “It’s something to think about.”++++The more Sunggyu thought about Nara’s suggestion. The more he began to think it was a good idea. He and Woohyun could go off to some foreign country like…Africa! Sunggyu always did want to sing in front of a lion (a suggestion that his management scoffed at).But at the same time, how was he supposed to go on an exciting honeymoon trip with Woohyun, if Woohyun wouldn’t even text him back?He sighed and got out his phone to try once again. He had fifteen minutes until his manager would come to pick him up for his first schedule that morning. But to his surprise, Woohyun was the one who was calling him. He hurriedly answered it.“YAH!” He yelled. “How could you ignore me for two weeks you little turd! Do you know how worried I was?! I was about to call the police and report a missing person’s case—.”“Sorry.” Woohyun murmured on the other line.Sunggyu heaved a sigh. “What happened?”“Mm…I’m really sorry hyung.” Woohyun mumbled. “My brother…he injured his arm, so I’m working in his place at his restaurant.”“Oh.” Sunggyu immediately felt bad for shouting. “I’m sorry…is your brother ok?”“Yeah, he’s healing fine. Probably another week or so.”“That’s good.” Sunggyu answered. “But, why didn’t you answer my calls then? Something else must’ve happened right?”Woohyun winced slightly. He knew he couldn’t lie to Sunggyu.“Sort of.”“What is it? Are you ok?”“I…” Woohyun paused. “It’s not really something I want to talk about over the phone like this. How about when I come back we’ll talk ok?”Sunggyu frowned. He knew he couldn’t force Woohyun to talk if the younger didn’t want to.“Ok…when are you coming back? Do you need anything?”“You.”It was almost a whisper so Sunggyu didn’t know if he had heard correctly. “What?”“Nothing.” Woohyun chuckled lightly. “I just…I miss you Gyu. But I’ll probably be back next week. Maybe if you’re not too busy, we can meet.”Sunggyu could hear the fatigue in his boyfriend’s voice and his heart ached. He wished he could jump through the phone and hug him. After hanging up with Woohyun, Sunggyu immediately called his manager.“Hyung.”“I’m almost there, Sunggyu-yah. Just sit tight.”“Actually hyung, I was wondering…would it be possible to finish up today’s schedule a little earlier?”++++Woohyun smiled as he watched the last customers leave his brother’s café restaurant, before sighing softly. He pulled the small rag off his shoulder and began to wipe the table, when the front door opened and the little entrance bell rang.“I’m sorry, we’re closed…” Woohyun looked up to see a man in a baggy sweatshirt with the hood on and sunglasses and a face mask. But Woohyun could tell it was Sunggyu in a heartbeat.“That’s ok, I didn’t come here for food.” Sunggyu shrugged. “I only came to look at the sexy waiter.”Woohyun grinned and walked up to him. “I’m not just a waiter. I’m practically the owner of this place while my brother is recovering.”“Who said I was talking about you?” Sunggyu joked, and Woohyun slapped him with the cleaning towel. But then he noticed some people passing by and peeking inside and took a step back from Sunggyu.“Let me just close up down here.” Woohyun cleared his throat. “You go upstairs.”++++Sunggyu walked up the narrow creaky stair case to the upper level of the shop, which happened to be Boohyun’s living quarters.“Must be nice…” Sunggyu thought. “You only have to walk down stairs to get to work.”He settled down on the frumpy beige sofa situated in front of the television and breathed a soft sigh. He smiled, thinking about Woohyun’s smile when he first walked in.“He lost weight…” Sunggyu pursed his lips. He wondered what was stressing Woohyun out because he knew the younger barely ate when he was stressed. “I’ll tell him about the vacation idea.” Sunggyu thought. “That should make him happy…”++++After making sure everything was cleaned up and the doors were locked, Woohyun closed the lights and headed upstairs. He took his shoes off at the door, and went inside.“Hyung…?” He looked around. He finally found Sunggyu, lying on the sofa in the living room, fast asleep. He smiled softly, and quieted his steps as he grabbed a blanket from the bedroom. After draping the blanket over Sunggyu, he knelt down on the floor, and rested an arm on the edge of the sofa. He watched Sunggyu’s sleeping face for a moment, before brushing the elder’s bangs out of his closed eyes.“You must’ve been tired…” Woohyun murmured, resting his chin on his arm, a few inches from Sunggyu’s face. “But you still came…” Woohyun gently stroked Sunggyu’s cheek. “You still came to see me.”++++Sunggyu woke up to the sweet smell of Woohyun’s strawberry shampoo filling his nose. He turned to his side to see Woohyun on the floor, leaning his head on the edge of the sofa beside Sunggyu’s arm. “He must’ve fallen asleep waiting for me…” He checked his phone for the time. It was about four in the morning. Sunggyu smiled at that. There was still time for more sleep.“Woohyunnie…” He patted the top of Woohyun’s head, only to receive a muffled, grumbled noise in return. “Yah, don’t sleep on the floor like that…its cold. Come up here.” Sunggyu scooted a little to make room on the sofa. Woohyun still had his face pressed to the couch cushion, before suddenly raising his head and blinking sleepily. Sunggyu chuckled, “Aren’t you cold?”Woohyun instantly crawled onto the couch and wrapped his arms around Sunggyu’s waist, burying his face into the older’s neck. “See, now your ears are all cold.” Sunggyu sighed, one hand on the back of Woohyun’s head, his thumb tenderly stroking the tip of Woohyun’s ear.“This couch is too small hyung.” Woohyun’s voice sounded gravelly with sleep, and sent vibrations through Sunggyu’s chest. “We can’t both fit.”Sunggyu proceeded to push himself on top of Woohyun, and then grinned.“There, now we can both fit.”Woohyun looked up at him with a slight smile. “Hyung...”“Hm?” Sunggyu hummed, pressing his lips to Woohyun’s adam’s apple, and trailing kisses across his neck. “Stop…I-I probably smell bad from working in the kitchen the whole day.” Woohyun complained, lightly placing his palms on Sunggyu’s chest to stop him.“I haven’t seen you in two weeks, you think I care about that?” Sunggyu sighed, and gripped onto Woohyun’s wrists, pulling them away from his chest.“I didn’t mean it like that.” Woohyun chuckled. “I just meant that you should let me take a shower first…ah or how about a bubble bath?”Suddenly Sunggyu gasped, with a slightly excited look on his face as he sat up. “What?” Woohyun grinned.“It’s just…if you say bath…” Sunggyu bit his lip, before tugging on Woohyun’s arm and leaning into his ear. “Does that mean that you’ll ride me?”Woohyun stared at him for a moment before shaking his head.“Aren’t you tired?”“T-That’s why…” Sunggyu smiled sheepishly. “It’d be ok that way because then you can do all the work.”Woohyun merely snorted. “Stop making that cute face while saying things like that…”Sunggyu chuckled, before quickly remembering about what they had to talk about. “But wait, before that,” He tightened his grip on Woohyun’s arm, causing the latter to turn to him. “I think you have some things to tell me about.”Woohyun averted his eyes. “I…don’t know what you’re talking about.”“Yah, you think you can just ignore me completely for two weeks and not expect me to worry?” Sunggyu sighed. “Woohyun-ah…did something happen with work?”Woohyun smiled sadly. “You know me too well sometimes…”“What happened? I thought you did really well on that audition for that big movie.”“I thought I did…” Woohyun drummed his fingers on his thighs, looking down. “I even got the role.”“Really?” Sunggyu’s eyes lit up. “That’s great! Then what’s—?”“And then they decided to give it to someone else the next day.” Woohyun murmured.“What?” Sunggyu frowned. “You mean they just…?”“Yeah, one day they’re like congrats you got the role, and then the next they told me they found someone who ‘better fit the role’ or something…whatever, I know it’s because of my eyes.”Sunggyu blinked. “Your…eyes?”“Yeah,” Woohyun sighed. “You should’ve seen the guy they gave it to. He was like bambi or something. His eyes were big and cute like Sungyeol’s or Sungjong’s…”“I don’t get it.” Sunggyu tilted his head. “Your eyes aren’t even that small—.”“Yes they are.” Woohyun looked down.“Yah,” Sunggyu nudged him. “Do you even know who you’re talking to right now?”Woohyun turned to him, smiling slightly. “Your eyes are beautiful Gyu.”Sunggyu sighed helplessly. “If all this was bothering you…why didn’t you just tell me? Don’t you know what you’re supposed to do? You should’ve gone to our special spot in the park and called me. And then I would’ve came with burgers and we would’ve laughed about how the guy who got the role looked like a creepy alien and then move on.”Woohyun laughed a little. “I didn’t want to bother you though. You’re really busy—.”“Well guess what? It’s more of a bother if you completely ignore me, and make me wonder if you’re even alive!” Sunggyu huffed.“You say that, but…” Woohyun fiddled with the sleeve of Sunggyu’s sweater. “I’ve seen you after a full day of work…you’re so tired. You work too hard.”“As if you’re any better.” Sunggyu sighed.“You’re right. We both work too hard.” Woohyun laughed. “Ahh…we really need a vacation.”Sunggyu suddenly remembered about Nara’s honeymoon idea.“Ah, actually—.”“Oh shit what’s the time?” Woohyun gasped, reaching for his phone on the coffee table. “I have to start prepping the restaurant!”“Already?” Sunggyu frowned. “It’s only four…”“Oh…ok.” Woohyun nodded, getting up. “I should go shower and stuff though.”“Yah, what about me?” Sunggyu pouted.“Sorry hyung.” Woohyun smiled. “But, I don’t think there’s time…plus don’t you have to get back? You have work this morning.”Sunggyu raised an eyebrow. “How do you know that?”“It was on your schedule. At least that’s what it said on the fan site…” Woohyun nodded, and the corners of Sunggyu’s lips curved slightly upwards.“You still check the fansites?”“Well…” Woohyun rubbed the back of his head. “I needed some way to check on what you’re doing.”“You know you won’t be able to tell if I’m cheating on you by checking the fansites.” Sunggyu joked and walked off into the kitchen. Woohyun gasped, hastily following after him.“What’s that supposed to mean? You better not have met some actresses or idols! Ah or was it that stupid Minhyuk—?”But Sunggyu just laughed, and Woohyun immediately shut up, reminding himself to keep his crazy jealousy under control.“Ah, I missed that.” Sunggyu opened up the fridge, before shutting it and turning to Woohyun. “Your cute jealousy.”Woohyun blinked. “…Cute? You…you still think it’s cute?”“Mm, maybe I shouldn’t say that because then you’ll do it on purpose.” Sunggyu realized, but Woohyun was already pulling him into a hug.“Too late. Now I’m going to be jealous all the time.” Woohyun mumbled into Sunggyu’s ear.“Well, it’s not like it’ll be any different than before...” Sunggyu merely shrugged, and pulled Woohyun away slightly. “Now, how about that bubble bath?”----------No bubble bath sex for you Kim Sunggyu.
