The ride to the hospital was everything but quiet. Tomoya was banging on the seats the entire ride. Ryota and Taka kept talking excessively loudly and giggling like two school girls. My leg was throbbing and I just sat in the back of the bus in complete silence, looking out the window.When we arrived at the hospital Hiro and Rin were sitting in the waiting room. Hiro was the first one to look up at us. He had a huge smile on his face.“Hey you guys. You’re just in time.” Hiro exclaimed.“So what’s the news?” I asked Rin.“She’s having a C-section now. Apparently my nephew has a big head.” Rin giggled.Rin grabbed Hiro’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. He looked at her and smiled.Taka sat down beside his brother and the rest of us followed.“Toru, what’s wrong with your leg?” Rin asked me in shock.“Some kid on the plane kicked me. I’ll be fine though. Just hurts a bit.” I stated.Taka and Hiro whispered something to each other before they started laughing. I just shot them a deadly glare before looking over at Tomoya.“You know, you two don’t have to be here if you don’t want to be.” I said, looking at Tomoya and Ryota.“Are you kidding me? There is nothing more exciting than seeing newborn babies.” Ryota chimed in.I just laughed at the both of them. Ryota was right after all. Nothing is more exciting than a new life beginning.~~~We all walked into the room slowly. I looked over at the bed and saw Yuka holding her son in her arms. She held him like he was a fragile piece of China. She nodded at me and flashed me her signature smile before she went to look at her son again.“I can’t believe I’m an aunt now!” Rin squealed as she ran over to Yuka.“I can’t believe I’m a godfather!” Taka squealed as he joined Rin.Ryota and Tomoya leaned against the wall staring at Yuka and her son. Hiro and I walked over to the others and leaned against the bed.I watched Rin and Taka coo over the baby. There was a sparkle in Taka’s eyes that I had never seen before. It looked like he was glowing, and I wanted to remember this moment forever.“So can I be the uncle?” Hiro shyly asked.“Of course you can, Hiro.” Yuka said quietly.Hiro beamed at her in delight.I looked over at the baby, “So what is his name?”“Well I thought that Taiga would be a suitable name for him.” Yuka cooed after the baby.I watched in fascination as the baby gripped onto Yuka’s index finger. The baby opened his eyes and stared at Yuka.“I’m so glad you guys are back now.” Yuka said as she looked at all four of us.There was a sudden knock on the door that interrupted us.A familiar figure walked in through the door. I watched Zen walk in taking long strides as he fixed his studded leather jacket. As he walked past me I could tell he had just finished a cigarette.We all stared at Yuka in horror. She clutched little Taiga close to her chest as she looked at Zen with fear in her eyes.“What are you doing here?” Yuka hissed.“I just want to make sure the kid is mine.” Zen said, slurring his words a little.“We don’t want you here. You need to leave. Now.” I snarled at Zen.Zen just shook his head and started laughing, “It’s fine. I can take a hint. I’ll stay out of your way from now on. I’m not that heartless despite what Yuka has told you all.”With those words Zen walked out the door and closed it behind him. We all let out a sigh of relief as soon as he left.“Well that was awkward.” Tomoya blurted out.I shot him a dirty glare before I went back to look at Yuka. She still held her baby close to her but the fear in her eyes had now left her.“Alright guys. Visiting hours are now over. You can come back in the morning.” A nurse said as she wheeled in a tray of food.We all groaned and complained but eventually left the hospital.I walked down the sidewalk hand in hand with Taka. He smiled up at me still glowing.“Don’t even think about it. You have a pet and that’s enough for now.” I teased.“Oh my gosh! Dreamer! Aishh! I hope he isn’t too mad at me for being gone for so long.” Taka yelled.He let go of my hand and ran off down the sidewalk as quick as he could. I tried to catch up with him but he was much quicker than I was. I managed to ignore the pain in my leg from earlier.I came to a stop on the sidewalk to catch my breath. A laugh escaped my lips. I realized that things didn’t change. Not really. We would always have things to do or people to look after.“You coming or what?” Taka asked as he hovered over me.“Yeah. Just don’t leave me, okay?” I said, trying to catch my breath.“I’ll never leave you.” Taka smiled at me as he held out his hand.And at that I had to smile. Life couldn’t get any better than this and somewhere in that hospital a new life was just starting.                                               The End.A/N: So this is the last chapter.
