21 - The coffee shop (1/1)

Yoongi was so hungry, but he stayed put - it was too risky to leave now, what if that mysterious angel would come when he’s not here? Yoongi had no idea where he came from or what his destination was, so he decided to stay there, sitting on the bench, scanning the people who walked by.Yoongi unintentionally started wondering about Jungkook. Why was he so attracted towards the younger? Yoongi tried his best to not be jealous of Seokjin, but sometimes he noticed how he stared at Jungkook a bit longer than he should, or think about the scenes he saw through Seokjin’s eyes. Guilt bubbled up in his belly a few moments later - he shouldn’t get too attracted towards Jungkook, Seokjin loved him, and as far as Yoongi could tell, Jungkook did have similar feelings towards Seokjin. They deserved to be with each other, and Yoongi was not going to step between them. Yoongi’s stomach growled again, reminding him that he’s still hungry. With a round of whispering curses about the betrayal of his own body (“Stupid human needs”), Yoongi stood up and started walking - he saw a coffee shop before he’d sat down onto the bench, and he made his way towards there. He noticed how many people went in and came out, it looked like the shop was pretty popular.Had that angel taken a visit there as well? Yoongi thought that that could be an option. Did he have a job? Was he a university student? Or just a tourist who came here? So many questions came up in Yoongi's mind, and he hated that he had no answers for them Shaking his head a little as he got closer to the coffee shop; he was sure he could buy something there to eat. If not, the he'd just drink a nice cup of coffee - because, let's be honest, for Yoongi, no matter the time, he could always had a cup of coffee. On the short way there, Yoongi scanned his surroundings, the people who walked by next to him, but sadly he didn't hear that angel's thoughts this time. Huh, luck truly avoided him that day, didn't it?The weather was as cold as it could be during December, the only missing thing was the snow falling down, covering everything in white. The freezing weather must had been the reason why such few people were out there; some of them were walking their dogs, others jogging around the lake. The sight made him remember his middle school years, how their coach said with a smirk that they'd been going to 'get some fresh air' before he'd brought them outside for a nice round of running, not caring about the weather at all. Yoongi had never complained, he knew if he would have done it he would have ended up running much more - just like how it had happened with some of his team members. Ah, there were a few things Yoongi knew he's never going to miss...While Yoongi was wondering about his pasty he got to the coffee shop - his hand curled around the door knob when he heard someone calling for him from behind. He turned over to check out who it was when he noticed Seokjin and Jungkook walking towards him. He couldn't help but smile as he watched them - they were holding hands."What a surprise! How come you're not in your room, sleeping at this hour?" Seokjin asked teasingly, making Yoongi roll his eyes."I thought it'd be better to leave." He replied, shooting a glare at his hyung. Seokjin probably got the hint as his cheeks turned pink. Poor Jungkook could only look from Seokjin to Yoongi, not knowing what was going on."I assume this was not the last time you're trying to fuck up with me." Yoongi heard Seokjin's voice echoing in his head."It's not my job to fuck you, you know..." Yoongi replied which made his hyung blush even more - a huge, satisfied grin crossed Yoongi's face before he opened the door and let them both in before following them. Jungkook let out a huff in his annoyance as he glanced Jungkook let out a huff in his annoyance as he glanced at Yoongi; he was sure that he said something that made Seokjin blush - not aloud though, they probably were talking with their thoughts again. To earn Seokjin’s attention, Jungkook gently squeezed his hand.“What you two were talking about that made you blush so much?” Jungkook asked him quietly. Seokjin bit into his bottom lip, his blush climbing up to his ears which somehow turned Jungkook on. Gosh, how much time was he going to need to not feel the urge to kiss Seokjin senseless whenever the lust ignites inside him?“Well… I might have been a bit louder last night than I should…” Seokjin mumbled; Jungkook felt his own cheeks burning at the realisation. Even though he felt proud as well that he made Seokjin react the way he’d done, he was also embarrassed that Yoongi had heard them. “Come on hyung, don’t be so modest! You’re so loud I heard you despite listening to music on my headphones.” Yoongi spoke up behind them; Jungkook shot him a glare at that. Yoongi just smirked at him when they locked eyes for a moment, then he walked towards the display counter to check out the cakes and desserts.Pulling Seokjin with himself, Jungkook followed Yoongi, and his stomach growled at the sight of the mouth watering sweets. He heard Seokjin chuckling next to him that made him blush, but he kept his eyes on the desserts.“Good morning! Have you chosen anything?” Jungkook heard someone behind the counter; he lifted his head up to look at them. But he was more than shocked when he saw the guy behind the counter. He had strong facial features; his nose just slightly bigger - a small mole could be noticed just under the tip of it -, but it somehow made him even more attractive. His face looked stunning, his tanned skin was flawless, his hazel coloured, slightly wavy hair partly covered his beautiful, dark brown eyes which were sparkling with joy. He had a bit thinner lips which curled up to a smile - it made Jungkook's heart flutter a little, making his cheeks burn."N-no, not yet." Jungkook stuttered, gosh he wanted to slap himself on the face because of it. What the hell was he doing? He was there with Seokjin who he liked a lot, loved even, holding his hand, and he was staring at another man? Yes, he was an incubus, his inner demon was interested in attractive people, but for fuck's sake, that did not mean he shouldn't be able to control himself! The young man's smile widened into a boxy-like grin which made him look even more attractive. Well, if that was even possible."It's alright. Please let me know if you'd like to order." He said and walked out from behind the counter, making his way towards the tables.Jungkook felt that Seokjin squeezed his hand; he turned his head to look at him. He saw no sign of sadness or anger on Seokjin's face; Jungkook let out a sigh of relief at that."Don't worry, even I admit he's handsome." Seokjin said with a small smile. "Your reaction is understandable."Jungkook blinked at him a few times, he felt like Seokjin was reading in his mind."Are you sure Yoongi hyung's the only telepath at the house?" Jungkook asked with a raised eyebrow. Seokjin let out a small chuckle at his question, it was music to his ears, making him smile.Maybe Seokjin got a tiny bit jealous when he saw Jungkook's reaction, but as he looked at the young man, he had to admit that he was indeed really handsome and thus Jungkook was probably not the only one who had this kind of reaction. Seokjin was sure that many people didn't come here for the coffee and desserts. Also, Seokjin was aware of his own and Jungkook's feelings towards each other, so there was nothing to truly worry about.Seokjin glanced at Yoongi who looked like he'd seen a ghost. Then, like he senses it, he slowly turned his head where the young, handsome boy went a few moments ago. Yoongi's lips parted a little while his eyes widened, he looked pretty comical like that."What happened to him?" Jungkook asked him, probably noticing Yoongi's state."That's a great question." Seokjin replied, but he still looked at Yoongi. Reading his emotions, Seokjin's skin started prickling because of Yoongi's excitement. Something or someone made his friend react like this, but Seokjin didn't know which one was the case.A few moments later Yoongi turned his gaze towards Seokjin and Jungkook, and in the next second he grabbed Jungkook’s hand and pulled them out from the coffee shop.“Hey, what are you do-” Jungkook tried to ask, but Seokjin squeezed his other hand he was still holding which made him go silent.“He’s going to tell us why he’s doing this in a short while.” Seokjin explained; Jungkook nodded and let himself be led by Yoongi.Yoongi, who was still holding Jungkook’s soft hand, pulling him and Seokjin with himself while he tried to find a bench which was a bit more separated. He still couldn’t believe what just happened. So many questions whirled in his head when he finally stopped at a bench where no one could hear them, pulling Jungkook by his hand towards it, glad that Seokjin let himself be pulled by the younger.Seokjin knew him well - he just simply sat down onto the bench without a word, slightly nudging Jungkook until he followed suit. Yoongi walked back and forth, trying to summarise in his mind what had happened a few minutes ago.“Yoongi?” He heard Seokjin calling him after a short while, it made Yoongi stop and look at him, capturing his bottom lip between his teeth.“Would you enlighten us what made you so excited?” Seokjin asked with a calm tone, there was no anger or impatience in it. Yoongi ran his fingers through his hair, this whole thing was still so unexpected.“The boy at the coffee shop… he’s the angel I saw in my dreams, the one I heard in the park yesterday.” Yoongi replied, making Seokjin and Jungkook look at him with parted lips and wide eyes. Their reaction was understandable though, Yoongi was just as shocked as them, but he was a hundred percent sure it was him. Fuck, he wanted to know so many things about him, he didn’t even know where he should start.“Are you sure?” Seokjin asked, pulling him out of his thoughts.“Yes.”Silence settled down after his answer, they still were trying to process the news. Suddenly Yoongi remembered the boy’s thoughts he caught while he’d seen him in his dreams - how the boy had moved into that apartment a short while ago, how intensely he could saw the pain in his eyes because he was unable to extend his wings fully in that small room…

That the boy had wanted to go onto the rooftop of his apartment building the next night.Yoongi wanted to find out somehow where this boy was living.

Jungkook was still trying to process what he just heard. It had already been pretty unexpected to meet two other people who had powers like he did, but getting to know one more? It was more than shocking.Jungkook couldn’t help but wonder how the boy had found out that he had wings. Did he have other powers too? How long did it take for him to get used to his wings? How did his parents and friends react to it? A sudden thought ran through his head, and he felt how his lips curled up and a low chuckle slipped through his lips.“What’s so funny?” Yoongi asked with a raised eyebrow.“Faith really does have a weird humour.” Jungkook replied. He glanced at Seokjin, but he looked at him just like Yoongi did.“What do you mean by that exactly?” Seokjin asked.“The boy looks like he’s from another world… and he has angel wings. His power matches perfectly with his looks.” Jungkook explained. Sadly Yoongi and Seokjin still looked at him with a frown; it made Jungkook blush, and as an attempt to hide it, he lowered his head and focused on the floor like it was the most interesting thing in the world.Seokjin gently squeezed Jungkook’s hand, drawing small circles onto his skin with his thumb. Jungkook glanced at him, and when they locked eyes Seokjin smiled softly at him before he turned his gaze towards Yoongi.“Yoongi, I can see it on your face, and even sense that you have something in your mind. Now spill it, will ya?” Seokjin said, making Jungkook look at Yoongi as well. The telepath closed his eyes for a moment as he took a sigh, then he looked at Seokjin with fierce eyes."I want to get to know him, hyung, to know who he is. In my dream he was thinking about going to the rooftop of the building he lives in to extend his wings." Yoongi finally admitted.“Yoongs, I don’t think that’s a good idea. We don’t know anything about him.” Seokjin reasoned, and Jungkook agreed with him. Maybe he was glad that he’d met with people who had powers like him, but he was not sure that the angel would react the way he did. As far as Jungkook could tell, the angel looked older than him, and he probably had realised that he had powers sooner than Jungkook, so he’d gotten used to it by now. Also, the boy somehow was capable of hiding his wings which made it easier to fit in, he didn’t have to worry about getting exposed. But, on the other hand, Yoongi did tell them that the boy had to go to a place where no one could see him so he could let his wings free from time to time.Yes, Jungkook was just as curious as Yoongi, but he had to agree with Seokjin, they couldn’t just go to the guy and ask something like ‘Hey, how are you, we also have powers like you, do you wanna hang out?’. It would only put him into an unpleasant situation and it was best to avoid that. Jungkook didn’t want to cause any harm to anyone, not to mention that he definitely did not want to force something onto someone which they didn’t want to do.Yoongi let out a sigh in his annoyance and ran his fingers through his hair; Jungkook swallowed hard at the sight.“I didn’t say I’m gonna go to him right now and start investigating him. If anyone, you should know exactly that it’s not my style.”“I’m aware of that, but I can’t let you sneak into his head either.” Seokjin said with a serious stare, it made Jungkook shiver even though Seokjin was not looking at him.“But-”“No buts, Yoongi. Try to get to know him as anyone would do.” Seokjin said, and Jungkook could tell by his tone that there was no space to argue with him. Yoongi let out a defeated sigh at that, his cheeks turning slightly pink."You know how bad I'm at this whole socialising stuff…" Yoongi said quietly. It was a side of him that Jungkook had never seen before - he looked so vulnerable, that cold, almost rude attitude was nowhere to be seen. "But you still should give it a try." Seokjin said softly. They looked at each other for a while, staying silent. Jungkook remembered how Yoongi had calmed him down in the morning, showing a new side of himself. Jungkook wondered if Yoongi had always been this cold. Had he been this rude with everyone all the time, hiding his shy, caring side? Had there been anyone else Yoongi opened up to, or was Seokjin the only one? One question followed the other in Jungkook’s head, feeling an urge to get to know Yoongi better.“...Alright… I’ll try.” Yoongi whispered, lowering his head a little. Jungkook’s lips curled up as he looked at Seokjin and Yoongi. It was a nice thing to see how important they were for one another - it was so obvious, they didn’t even have to say those words out loud.Jungkook truly hoped that one day Seokjin and he were going to have a similar bond.
