Things He Would Never Do (1/1)
The elevator door opened, but we remained unmoved.“Junhyung, you called me Hani.”I looked at him, and he looked stunned himself. Our eyes met, and before the door closed, he took my hand and pulled me outside of the elevator. “We should talk.”“I have been urging you to talk since forever, Junhyung.”He looked at me, there were seriousness in his eyes, but there were also hesitation, and maybe, regret?“Junhyung, do you really want to do this?”“You are the one that wanted some answers, Lee.”“I do, but--”But I didn’t want to burden him to do it. We were standing at the hallway, and I was tilting my head, looking at his face. The air was still tense, but it was less awkward now. But having my head tilting like this, another gush of dizziness came to me. My eyes suddenly became blurry, and my ears felt like somewhat blocked.Oh no, this is not good.“Junhyung, I think I need to lie down.”I could feel my face was turning pale.“What? Yah, Hani, what’s wrong? Where’s your room? Which one is your room?”He looked panicked, but I couldn’t help but to notice, he called me Hani, again.“Number 810, that way.” He held me on my arms, steadying me while we were walking, his grasps were strong but yet so gentle on me. He was so close, I could smell his natural scent. I didn’t think he wore any perfume or cologne, but his scent, for me, was very enticing. “Where’s the card?” He said, we were already in front of my door.I gave him the card, he swapped it and get the door opened. I went straight to my bed, my head felt so heavy, I just want to lay my head on the pillow.“Yah, are you sick?”He was standing at the door, keeping the door opened, looking stiffed and lost. Ah, he must have felt embarrassed to be in a room with a girl. And he looked rather cute like that. I just had to smile at the sight. Junhyung, seeing my smile, seemed to loosen up a bit.“I was hit by a ball, on my head. But I’ll be okay.”“Oh.”He nodded his head, he didn’t ask further. And then there was silence. He was still at the door, I was lying on my bed, and we were looking at each other. “Do you still want to talk, Junhyung?”He looked at me, considering it.“You are unwell, Hani. We can talk later.”His voice was soft, there was no more sternness in it.“Then, will you promise me that you will give your full cooperation?”Again, he was considering it.“Junhyung?”“Yes, I will.”His answer was almost unheard.“Pinkie promise?”I gave him a smile, and I held my pinkie up, for him to hook.“What, are you like, seven?”He let out a chuckle. That was his first smile to me in the longest time. It warmed my heart, and my own smile grew even bigger.“No, I’m seventeen alright. Take it.” He rolled his eyes, but still he let go of the door and went to me.“You make me do things I would never do, Hani.”That was a shocking statement coming from him, but I liked it. He took my pinkie into his pinkie, hooking it, and our thumbs met.“Happy now?” He asked. He still had a smile on his face, small nonetheless.“No, not yet, but it’s on the way.” We let go of each other’s hand, and he helped himself out.“Rest well, Hani.”
