Ill Get You (1/1)

“You should go to class. I’m okay now.” I said to him.I had stopped crying, and the bell rang awhile ago, signalling the end of recess. I was already free from his hold, and we were sitting side by side, in silence. It was rather calm as students were back in their classes.“Really, I’m okay, so you should go.” I said again. He tilted his head to look at me, but I kept my sight focused on my hands, they were clasped together, resting on my lap.“If you are okay, like you said, then you should go to class, too.”His voice sounded so soothing, he was trying to make me feel better. I did feel better than before, I had poured every concern in my heart on his shoulder.“I can’t, not with these eyes.”My eyes must be puffy like two blowfishes, and there was no way I was going down looking like that.“What’s wrong with your eyes?” He bent further down, tilting his head more, to have a better view of my face. Our faces were so close, our eyes were looking straight into each other, and from afar we must have looked like we were kissing. I could felt every breath he exhaled, and he looked at me with tender eyes, nothing like I ever seen from him before. This was a side of him that I never knew. My face and my heart voluntarily became warm.“I see nothing wrong with your eyes.”He said, his voice was still gentle.“They are bloated, thank you. Now, don’t look at me like that!”I pushed his face away, I didn’t want him to see the tint of pink on my cheek. He let go a small chuckle, and that got me to smile along. It was surprising how his small actions affected me greatly. We were back sitting in silence, minding our own thought.“What are you thinking?”I heard him asked.“About what I should do to get out from this mess.”“You don’t have to do anything. Just wait, and time will solve everything. It will all quiet down in no time.”He said it with no hesitancy, I almost believed him. But for this kind of mess, there was no way the time will offer his help to me.“You think time will solve all this? I’m not so sure about that. I mean, this involves... Well, you know... So there is no way the girls down there will let me go that easily.”He looked at me, he was deep in thought. “Then, how about this? I know a way for them to shut up and leave you alone. I could bet, they would never dare to lay any finger on you again.”He sounded excited. I looked at him, and I saw a twinkle of glee in his eyes.“What? Tell me, then!”He was facing me, he looked determined.“I’ll tell everyone, that we are seeing each other.”“What?!!” Was he serious? Where did that idea come from?  “That’s the idea? Are you crazy?”I was absolutely baffled, but he still had the determined face on.“You don’t have to do anything, you don’t have to say anything. I’ll be the one making the announcement. Nobody, I bet nobody, would dare to touch you when they know that you are my girl. Now, try to think about it.”I was speechless. How could he offer himself to do this easily? But, what he said did make sense. If I was his girl, no one would dare to mess with me. But then, why would he want to sacrifice his single title for me?“What’s this for you? I’ll get out from this chaos, but what will you get from doing this?”He looked at me, his eyes changed, from looking determined to looking warm. “I’ll get you.”
