My old volleyball coach once said, "Lee, when you gonna learn to just dive in." I remember holding in a mouthy comment, like 'when I learn to swim'. But luckily I knew how to hold back the sass that seemed to sleep at the tips of my tongue. I suppose what he meant is that I never just go for it. So in honor of Coach Minho, I'm going to dive. I am going to envelope myself into what I want. Zhang Yixing.I bailed after the whole Jiyeon incident and Yixing offered to take my mind off of things. We were sitting on the steps of the corner store, about 20 miles away from Jiyeon's place. Turns out that it happens to be the only place Yixing can get a slushie. He said something about the quality of it but I simply don't see a difference."It's because no one has ever loved you enough to teach you what a good slushie taste like." I calmly gaze at him."No one has ever loved me enough to do anything for me.""That's a sad thing to say."I shrug, "It's a cold world."There was a particularly uncomfortable silence, like something needed to be settled before they could resume pretending like everything was perfect. "What happened?" "Everything happened. But I think the question you want to ask is when did I notice," I slurped up the lime slushie, "I was eight. My mother had been dating this man off and on for weeks and he finally introduced his daughter to us. SoHee, I think that was the name, hated me from the moment she saw me. She'd come over occasionally and physically torment me." I took another gulp of the now completely liquid substance. "I told my mom about it and she told me that's how little girls play with each other."I believed her, of course, and SoHee continued to fuck up my life. I remember one day they took us to the pool. SoHee pulled down my bathing suit in front of the lifeguard, who was my god-like figure at the time. I punched her in the nose while breaking my thumb in the process. My mom found out and took me to the deep end. She threw me in the water.""So what was the big deal?" "I couldn't swim. And she watched me drown. Unfortunately the lifeguard got to me in time and I had to get my hand wrapped in the clinic nearby. Do you know what my mom said after I found her? 'I hope you understand how I feel about you, you pretty little mistake'."He didn't say much after that. He went through the 'I'm so sorry' bit but I had other things to think about. Like calculus. "How's it going with becoming your dance crew's captain?" He momentarily puffed out his cheek. "Just great. Kai managed to yet again impress Henry gege. I don't even know how to compete against this guy.""I imagine your a pretty good dancer, just keep doing what you've been doing." "Pretty good doesn't cut it, pretty girl." He winked at me, not even sparing my gentle heart by flashing a serene smile and small dimples. "I've only now noticed how we've been sitting on these steps." I shrug and reach at his slushie. "Normally Mr. Li would tell girls to not sit on his steps." "And what makes you so special that he wouldn't put you off." I said it more as a statement and shook my head at how awkward it sounded."He's my uncle." My eyes grew wide."Are you joking? Mr. Li is the nicest old man I've ever met. He always gives me free candies when I have a bad day."He smiled at me. "It's probably because your pretty." The straw of his slushie just happened to lean my way. I smile up at him and drink in the blueberry goodness. "Your so full of compliments.""Only for those who deserve them." I giggle freely while stealing yet another gulp of his icy drink. "You know what I'd love to do. I wish I could just put you on fluffy powder pink cloud and push you around." It was childish and girly and all those things I didn't associate with, but it felt right. Everything about being with him makes everything feel right.He laughs at the idea. "As long as your the one pushing." It was at that moment I knew that I loved that boy. More than I loved Patrick Swayze after seeing him in the Outsiders. More than I loved Kim Jaejoong after seeing him on X-Man. These unearthly feelings were swallowing up. I had to let him know."Actually, Yixing, I..." my cellphone rang annoyingly. "Shit! It's Oh Hyun Su.""Well answer it.""Fine." I breathe in and hit the green button. "Hello? It doesn't matter where I am! A friend! I don't know when I'll come back." Yixing whispers sweetly to me, asking if Hyun Su was mad. "Yes I'm with a boy. Yes we're alone. We're outside! Look I gotta go I'll come home later." I look into Yixing's eyes and laugh with him. He brought his forehead towards mine, our third eyes were connecting. "You should go.""I know.""I don't want you to.""So I won't." He gaze at me tenderly, running his petit fingers down my cheek. "Where should we go?" I placed a shaking hand on the back of his neck, whispering something about going to the stars. The seconds in between his breathing and my anxiety were painfully wasted by gazing longingly at each other. Eventually he moved in for a chaste kiss, inch by fucking inch. And then..."Tae Ah!!" We released one another and I looked up at a foaming man. "Anneoyhasaeyo, Hyun Seongseangnim." What had him so ticked off?

Btw thanks bitches for being the inspiration in your own sucky way. Alex came to the football game and I talked to him for a bit and he was adorkable like always AND i made him die of laughter last friday at break, it was epic, people were like i didnt know he could laugh that hard. I amazed myself! And to all you trolls i fucking hate you for making me think Exo comeback was in Sept when its in Nov! Bitches had me going ape shit last friday and them left me pissed off.
