Coward (1/1)
"I'm just doing what's right, Taemin," Minho snapped as he stood against the wall, hands in his pockets, facing the one person who should have stood by his side. Taemin bristled, the dorm seeming to melt with his fury."How is this right in anyway? You're just throwing away all of the things we've been through! What about our dreams? What about SHINee?" Taemin demanded, his fists clenching as the hot tears ran down his cheeks."This wasn't my dream," Minho answered, standing up and waving an arm at their dorm room and their lives for the last few years. "Underpaid, overworked, constantly in battle with managers for sick days, in danger of dying in the hospitals because the managers won't give us time for treatment, and having to deal with abuse in airports because the company won't hire security... That wasn't my dream, Taemin.""And what about me? Us? Where does that fit in with your little quest for justice, huh?" Taemin hissed, because that was where it hurt the most. Minho was history, present, and future to him. Minho leaving was not part of his reality."I'm sorry. I offered you to come with me. That offer still stands," Minho murmured. Taemin shook his head, rubbing his eyes furiously to get those damned tears to leave, as if he'd wake up from this dream if he just rubbed a little harder."I can't leave. This is my life here, Minhi! This is everything to me," Taemin half-sobbed, his anger melting into pure despair as he fell to the ground, wanting Minho's arms around him, only there was no such thing anymore."Don't be a coward," Minho whispered. "Stand up for what's right.""This is right, Minho! Us is right! You and me, singing and dancing and pretending to be happy even if we were dying inside was what was right!" And yet even as Taemin said it, he could tell that it wasn't right. It was just reality, and Taemin couldn't bear to have it change."Then I'll see you when I see you," Minho said, and he turned away to face harrowing court battles and online slander and international entertainment disgrace. SHINee was now Taemin and Jonghyun only, left to scrape up a career. Minho, Key, and Onew left to make it in the world on their own as fighters, while Taemin and Jonghyun were refugees in the carnage of entertainment's brutal truths. In short, the shining SHINee, the band of 5 brothers, was no more.A/N—I've had a pretty bad day...Btw, Samandy79, this is that story you wanted ^-^Comments are love.
