Chapter 4 - Unforgettable (1/1)
< Jessica > The sight of this horrified Jessica. She had never seen an accident occur right in front of her eyes, let alone the one who was held responsible for this was her. It had occured all too fast for Jessica to process what had happened and what she had done. She just sat there stunned and frozen in the driver's seat whilst Krystal was screaming and crying and her mother was persuading them both to quickly get out the car before the police arrives. Slowly letting go of her grip on the steering wheel she automatically slumped back into the seat, staring ahead motionless. She could not comprehend or accept what had just just happened or what she had just done. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear the panicked and almost controlled tone in her mother's voice. The continuous crying from Krystal that had filled the air had eventually awoken her from her trauma. She felt a tug on her arm as her mom was pulling her forcibly out the damaged sports car whilst also helping a distraught Krystal out from the car. Breathing heavily she stood there as as she watched the steam come out from the bonnet of the Sedan. She felt guilty, scared and petrified.' What sort of crime have i committed ' Jessica thought to herself as she forced out a whisper, " What have i done ". Taking a step towards the Sedan her breathing started to increase rapidly but before she could reach the two victims she was pulled away by her mother. Her head was burried into her mother's shoulder as her mother tried to calm the emotional and guilt stricken Jessica down." Now is not the time to check them Jessica. I'm sure they will be alright. We have to go now " whispered her mother. With one final glance at the couple in the car she whispered a slight, yet sincere " sorry ". It was as if she knew that they would never be able to opentheir eyes again or live because of her. Fate had let her survive again but it costed her the lives of two innocent human beings. Whilst running away from the scene with her mother and sister Krystal, Jessica knew that this was a life changing moment for her. It could either make or break her. Yes she was a survivor and yes she was a determined and strong-willed person. But the faces of the victims kept flashing in her mind, it was as if the control to her mind was broken. She couldn't stop replaying this scene over and over again in her mind. Jessica knew that she had committed a crime. No matter how much her mother had tried to comfort her by telling her it was her fault that she dragged Jessica into her problems. Jessica knew it was completely her fault, mistake and misjudgement. But most surpisingly what scared Jessica the most was that even though this accident may have costed the lives of two innocent strangers she would have committed the same mistakes again, if it meant saving her family . Her family meant the world to her, without them she would have been nothing, just another lifeless soul living on earth. Even though Jessica disapproved of her mother's choices at times, she actually truly cared for her as she had only one mother. She would risk her life and others to save her and her sister, Krystal. This mistake that she had committed today would always forever be kept in her memory. It will haunt her forever, as she knew because life had always found a way to make situations complicated and the most torturing for her. Life will make her suffer and eventually this secret may kill her inside. This secret will have it's consequences. But this is the one secret Jessica promised to her mother and Krystal that she would keep to her grave. " Secrets will forever cause harm to others if kept within ones self " x X x < Taeyeon > As soon as the death of her parents were officially reported, social services had already arrived at her house. Just the sight of them angered her. She still had refused to believe that her parents were dead. She kept praying and convincing herself almost threateningly that her parents were still alive. That this was a dream she hadn't awoken up from or that this was a complete hoax created by a jealous classmate of hers. Staring ahead Taeyeon had refused to listen to the social workers who sat across from her. But they were patient with her and knew that she was still grieving so they took there time explaining the process of finding possible family members for her to live with. Silence suddenly filled the air. This silence was so silent and abrupt that it had caught taeyeon off guard as she turnt her head directly towards the social workers, out of curiosity." We have just contacted your Aunt Kim Taehee, she will be here shortly to pick you up ". Taeyeon sighed as her hands trembled, she was furious that they would try to send her to her Aunt. Taeyeon was still in denial about her parents death. She loved her Aunt but living without the familiarity of her house was too daunting of a task for Taeyeon to undertake. Out of all her relatives Taeyeon was the closest to her Aunt Taehee. Her aunt was her fathers younger sister. She was beautiful, intelligent and had a successful acting career. Although she was famous she would never be seen acting arrogant and would always keep her humble and genuine composure that everyone loved . Although she had busy schedules she would always make time to visit her favourite niece,Taeyeon.Taeyeon was grateful that her Aunt would readily agree to care for her but yet again she was in doubt because she was still in a fragile, emotional state. Strangers had just told her that her parents had died and now other strangers are trying to take her away from the one place she felt close to her parents. Of course she was distraught and confused, like any other child would be. All she needed was time to grieve but it felt as if all these strangers were suffocating her with too much information that she didn't want to hear or believe. Whilst deciding to make a haste decision, Taeyeon got up from her chair and quietly walked out through the back door of her house as the social workers were too preoccupied with their paper work in the next room to even notice thad she had gone. She had to get out. She wasn't running away from the social workers or her Aunt but she was running away from reality. Her head was throbbing from everything, from the sudden news of her parents death to the strangers forcing her to move out of the only place she had called home. What was worse to Taeyeon was the fact that she didn't even know the full details of her parents deaths. If they wanted her to believe that they were dead they had to show her the proof. Even if she didn't want to hear about her parents death, she would have felt some sort of closure knowing the details of how they got into a car accident in the first place. She hated that the social workers treated her like a child. Yes, she may be one but in these situations she felt she was old enough and strong enough to handle the truth. After all she had nothing to lose since it felt as if she had lost everything already. Her entire world was crumbling to pieces and she had no one to confide in or turn to. Walking through the streets she let out a deep breath. She loved the fresh air and the way that the sun was beginning to set. She felt peaceful and calmbut she was still distraught. Taeyeon wished that she could forget everything that had happened today and act like it didn't occur or exist. Turning to her right, Taeyeon began to aproach a large bridge which overlooked the deep ocean. She continued walking until she was standing right at the edge of the bridge. The clear sight of the ocean was beautiful. It had that deep blue, mysterious feel about itthat Taeyeon loved, Most of her memories with her parents were situated around the ocean. She couldn't stop herself from recalling these happy yet painful memories. Recalling these memories were too much for her as Taeyeon closed her eyes and let a single tear drop escape and slide down her pale cheeks. " Why did you suddenly leave me. If you both were going to walk out of my life so cruelly why did you even bother give birth to me"screamed Taeyeon. " I just, want to be with you both. Please save me". With those final words Taeyeon took a step into fate. Forwards. She wasn't the irrational type. She wasn't the type to do something extreme for the adrenaline rush. But she just wanted to test her limits. She wanted to test life's limits. She wanted to see how far life could or was willing to go to destroy her. Before she could even begin to fall into the ocean which she was longing to do, she felt a grasp attach around her wrist as their hand pulled her away from the bridge. Opening her eyes slowly in a daze, she felt an unfamiliar chest against her head. It was a stranger but their warmth was so comforting to her. The sound of their heartbeat against her ear was so peaceful. It felt as if all her worries were erased from her. At at that moment. Taeyeon wished that time would just freeze. " Fate had brought him to me"" He had saved me from the despairs of life " x X x I was extremely busy these couple of days so this chapter may seem a bit rushed.
