Baekhyun felt that something wasn’t quite right. It felt as if someone was trying to burn a hole through his head.A tiny frown appeared on his face as he slowly came to consciousness.You noticed the crease and extended a finger to poke it away.Baekhyun felt his forehead being jabbed. He opened his eyes, and met two large, shiny brown orbs on the side of his bed, gazing intensely at him.He yelped and speedily shuffled to the other side of the bed to get some distance. When he realized that it was only you, he sighed out in relieve and placed a hand over his thumping chest.“_______, you scared me...”“Sorry, am I not meant to be here?”“No no, I just wasn’t expecting you to be right beside my bed that’s all.” He sent you an assuring smile and took a glance at the digital clock on the table: 7:27am. “Nice and early start. We’ve got a lot to do today.” He turned back at you- who were still perched on the floor, staring at him. He leaned forward and ruffled your hair affectionately.For breakfast, Baekhyun taught you how to make omelettes. As you both sat down to eat, he informed you about the basic plans for the day.“We’ve got a press conference tomorrow at 4pm. Then after that, our department is hosting a party. I need to first have a run through with my team about the press con, and then we’ll need to go and find a suitable dress for you.”“Press conference?”“There are a lot of people who want to meet you- the first human robot in the world,” he caught your worried expression. “Don’t worry, they’ll be mainly asking questions to me. If anybody asks you anything, just reply honestly. Don’t be afraid, I’ll be beside you.”“Okay. What about the party? Shouldn’t have we got a dress yesterday?”“I didn’t want you to feel rushed and overwhelmed yesterday. I wanted it to be a precious and memorable day for you. I thought it would be nice for it to be a light introduction, where it was about you making connections with the world, where time was not an issue and nothing else mattered.”“Thank you for your consideration.”“I’m afraid today may be a little hectic. Just tell me if you want a break.”You nodded. “As long as you’re with me, I’ll be okay.”Baekhyun blinked and smiled, touched at how much you trusted and relied on him. “I’ll be with you.
