Date. (1/2)
His Little Jealous Moment.
-Ding Dong- Youngjae’s doorbell rang. Wondering who it was at the door, Youngjae curiously crept up to the little hole in his door and peered through it, looking at who he was. To his surprise, it was Daehyun. It was their second date together and they decided that nothing will go wrong this time… unlike the last time.Flashback “Watch out!” Daehyun heard someone shouting at them, but it was too late. They were already wet. Soaked.
It was a rainy day and the love birds were on their date. Daehyun decided to bring Youngjae across the road to look at the Han River, where there white balls floating on the river where little children write their wishes and let it go into the river, wishing it’ll come true.
“Dae…. I’m f-f-freezing…” youngjae said as his jaws were vibrating, making a very quick clicking sound. Without any hesitation, Daehyun wrapped his arms around the younger; let him snuggle into his chest while they admire the beautiful view before them. Staying like that for the rest of the evening before they went back.
“Jae ah...”
“Y-yeah dae?”“I’ll make the next date perfect. Promise.” Dae said as he stroked his fingers through the soft black hair of Youngjae. End of flashback “Why aren’t you early my dear.” Youngjae said as he was fixing his hair. Daehyun winked for no apparent reason and went in the apartment.
“Isn’t anyone at home?”
“Well, it’s a Friday. Mom is out shopping and having tea with her friends and dad is still at work.”
“Oh. Let’s go and come back earlier shall we?”
“Sure… let me get ready first alright?” They walked into Youngjae’s room and quickly picked whatever Youngjae should wear and got him dressed as fast as possible.
“Seems like someone is in a hurry to take me out, huh Dae.”“I just want to get out of here and spend my day with you!”“Forever so cheesy.” The younger said as he stuck his head through his shirt, getting ready to go. After they finished getting ready, they locked up and got out of the house and went to the bus stop. On their way there, Youngjae could not stop talking about how pretty and talented Tiffany was. He kept on going about her OSTs and how he wants to sing one, completely oblivious to Daehyun’s growing jealousy. Soon, they reached the local mall and went walking around, window shopping and grabbing some bites. “Dae, aren’t you hungry?”“Nope, why?” Daehyun answered, feeling a little annoyed at the fact that the younger still didn’t know how he was feeling about the constant topic of conversation of Tiffany.“Oh… You seem a little out of sorts today. Are you sure you’re alright? You’re even rejecting my offer of getting you something to eat!”“Yes I’m fine my dear,” giving youngjae a little peck on the cheek before holding his and walking inside the mall.
They decided to watch a movie – Monster University. Both of them love animations and they really love the fact how much they can relate to the movie as both of them met in university too. Mike, the green one eyed monster being youngjae the nerd and Daehyun as sally the loud one. They had so much in common and they were roommates at the same time. Until the day Daehyun confessed and Youngjae said yes. It was etched in their minds and will stay there for the rest of their lives, or maybe even eternity. It was the beginning of a beautiful love story.
“Hyunnie……” Youngjae said as he poked Daehyun’s arms.
“Yes yeobo?” “I’m hungry… Let’s go get something to eat!” “Sure~” Hand in hand, they walked out of the cinema and out of the mall, looking for a nice little restaurant they could sit down and have a nice meal, talking about their week. They soon walked into a crowded street of Seoul. It was never crowded but then it was 6.30pm , where everyone heads home after a long day. Correction, long week. Looking at the many flashing lights, the couple walked together, fingers intertwined. Then, Youngjae stopped his footsteps. Daehyun unknowingly jerked. Curiously, he looked at Youngjae. “Jae ah.. what are you staring at.” Daehyun asked.“Look. At. That.” Youngjae pointed at the 6 feet tall Tiffany poster.
Daehyun couldn’t keep it in anymore. He let go of his love’s arm and stomped off, tears in his eyes. Youngjae called out to him but he just refused to turn back and tell him how much he was jealous. He was jealous because he knows that he’ll never be as good as Tiffany, will never be as pretty of have her eye smile. Tiffany’s eyes were to die for.
