“Oppa, you seriously don’t know?”

“Ani,”

“Most girls want to act cute around the guy they like, however most girls seem to care more about looking cute than showing their true self. When a girl eats, their true character will be revealed, at least that’s how it was in America”

“Bwoh, lies, seriously?”

“It’s true,”

“Then why didn’t you say anything?”

“Well I’m not one of those type of girls,”

“Oh, then what type of girl are you?”

“The type that’s not gonna hide who she is,”

“I like that side of you,” I told her sweetly and she smiled as she took some rice and held it to my mouth. I ate it and fed her some of the broccoli that she was looking at but couldn’t reach. She ate it gratefully and nodded her thanks.

“That makes the both of us,”

“Someone knows how to love herself,”

“If you don’t love yourself, how would you expect to love anyone else?” she told me cheekily while eating another broccoli from my chopstick.

“Do you know that you say the most incredible things and I have no clue how to answer to it? I don’t even know how to respond to this one,” I asked her while leaning towards her and she smiled back.

“Trust me if you think how I’m talking now is deep, then can’t wait till the next time there’s an awkward silence,”

“Wae?”

“At home, my brother and I, along with my umma would talk about the most random topics like, “if you were to die tomorrow and there’s no possible to save yourself tomorrow and you lived your life, would you rather die happy before there is pain if you continue to live to the next day” type questions,” she stared at me. I looked at her and then I started to think about it.

“I have a question about that,” I told her.

“What?”

“Could I spend the most painful day with the person I love the most?” I asked her and she blankly stared at me.

“Amazing,”

“I know, I mean look at this face,” I told her jokingly but she was still staring at me blankly.

“How’d you think of that?” she narrowed her eyes while tilting her head.

“I don’t speak with my head, I think with my heart,”

“Omo? Really...my opinion of you just keeps getting better and better Seung Hyun ah~,”

“Really?”

“Ne~, I think I’m going to enjoy this marriage a lot,” she told me giving me an eye smile as she drank more tea. I sipped my wine slowly satisfied by her company.

“Don’t be afraid of talking to me, arasso?” I told her and she held my gaze.

“I’m not anymore,” she said the smile was evident in her voice. I am really happy.

“So can I answer the question?” I told her.

“Yeah, I want to know your opinion,”

“Let me hear your’s first,”

“I usually answer with die in happiness...what the point of living in pain when you can leave happy. But now that you pointed out the last part, if I had the person I love the most by my side then I would stay till the very last moment since the love would overcome the pain,” Hime said thoughtfully.

“Good, cause I think that we think the same,” I told her. We finished the rest of the food and I paid the bill. We looked at the time and it was almost time to meet manager. Hime ordered some food for the hyungs and manager hyung as I paid the bill. I tried to convince her not to pay for it but she said that the deed was done. I took the two bags of food in one hand and put her hand in my other. I pulled her hand into my coat pocket again and we walked back to the car. We saw manager hyung running across the street as Hime opened the car. She hid the food quickly and then gave back hyung’s key.

“Did you kids have fun?” hyung asked us.

We both nodded.

“Man how much food did you kids eat...this car smells like Chinese food!” hyung joked and we just laughed along with him. How gullible our hyung is. Hyung warned us of the long drive back to Hime’s home so we decided to use the time to nap like we had done earlier. Hyung woke us up again as we reached SHINee’s dorm. It’s almost three now. I walked her to the door as hyung waited in the car.

“Hime ah~, sleep well, I put my number in your phone, so call if you need anything, if you can’t reach me...I put my hyungs numbers in as well. Don’t stay up too late, you have to go that meeting early right?” I told her and she nodded. She bowed slightly and then gave me quick hug. I could see her blushing slightly because of the street lights. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. She touched it and blushed even harder.

“Gomawo oppa, for tonight,” she told me as she continued to hold her cheek.

“Don’t tell me that was a first as well?” and she nodded. I laughed softly and took the key from her and opened the door for her.

“Today was a lot of great firsts,”

“And tomorrow there will be many more, sweet dreams and rest well for your meetings,”

“Arasso oppa, I’ll wait for you to go,”

“Ani, I want to see the door close before I leave. Go in, pali, I had a great time by the way, I can’t wait for tomorrow,” I told her with sincerity.

“Ne~, I’ll go first. See you tomorrow, and don’t forget to give the food” she said as she walked inside. She closed the door and turned on the lights as I went to the car. Hyung took one look at me and gave me a big smile as we went home to the dorm.

“You are one lucky kid, Seung Hyun,” hyung told me but I couldn’t stop my grinning. This day went from being the worst day of my life to the greatest night of my life. Who cares if I have to explain the whole date to the hyungs, I’m happy that it happened. When I get home I’m gonna give Jong Hun hyung one hell of a hug! Sweet dreams Hime.
