Chapter I – The Weekend (1/1)

I want you to prepare everything you need on the weekend. You have to work in groups and make a presentation about Daegu. So I hope you’ll get yourself in little groups. And remember that it isn’t important how much information you have. It’s more important to have the correct information and the best presentation.” The teacher said shortly before the lesson ends.Yes they go on class trip. Or as Taemin call it “bully trip”. For him it’s not that fun. He’s scared and really feels bad about this trip. He tried to convince his parents to let him stay at home. But they said that he can’t hide himself all the time. He has to make friends and gather strength.“Hey wake up.” Kibum snapped beside his ear looking into his eyes he recognized the teacher was staring at him and also the whole class, even this stupid boy in the second line. He whispers something to his neighbor then laughing and looking back at Taemin. So he made a joke of him. Or said how stupid he looks… or something else. Taemin really don’t want to know.“So as I said you will do this in groups. Here is the list. Please only three students for each group.” She gave the list to the first row. “So I’ll see you on Monday. Have a nice weekend.” All the students stud up and went to the first row. Taemin followed Kibum and Jinki.“You really look bad, Minnie.” Kibum said as he leaned himself against the wall beside them waiting that the other students write their names down in the list. “Yes. And I feel bad. I really don’t want to go on this class trip. I mean I know what will happen. Every time something like this “after sport” could happen again.” He said as he looked into Kibums eyes.“Hey stop that. You’re idiot.” he heard his “enemy” shriek. “What do you want? I don’t want to be in a group with this idiot. And you neither. So I wrote you’re name down there.” his best friend said. “I can’t believe. Jjong, you can’t do something like this.” he shrieked back again. “Yes I can. I’m older than you.” And then both of them leaved the room, Jonghyun going as first. Taemin looked back at Kibum who was still focused on Jonghyun. And even after he left his eyes were still focused on the door. “Hey Key. We’re in one group okay?” Jinki said as he wrote the names down in the list. “Yeah it’s okay.” Kibum mumbled still looking on the door.When Taemin read through the list he couldn’t believe what he was reading. “Onew… Key… Why I’m not in your group?” he asked with an angry but uncertain voice. “I’m sorry about that but Amber asked me if we could do the project work with her… so we just said yes.” Onew answered in a low and sad tone. “We thought you would do the project together with Kai and Suho.” Kibum said without looking in Taemin’s eyes. Of course he could do it with Jongin and Junmyeon. But there was only one problem. “They work together with Chen.”Without saying anything Taemin put his name in an empty box. So he would do the work alone since they were an odd number of students in class. So there was no possibility to work with someone together he thought. After getting their bags they headed to the front door of the school. It was an old building with big iron gates in front. After saying good bye to everyone Taemin headed down the road. Kibum and Jinki the other way down since they life next to each other.He was still thinking about the class trip. Maybe they had to share one room. Taemin don’t want to share a room with this idiot. He even doesn’t say his name when he talks about him. In first class Taemin thought that they maybe become friends. But only a few weeks later he changed completely.He started to bully everyone. Not only him but even Yifan who seems to be a very popular in school get bullied. And he didn’t stop as some students talked with the headmaster… It only got more complicated. He is the son of the headmaster. So all bad you say about his son will have big influence on your school life.So his problem had only one name: Minho. ~~~ It’s Sunday. The whole Saturday Taemin spends with searching some information about Daegu. Since Kibum is from Daegu it was much easier than he thought. Talking one hour with Kibum on the phone and searching two hours for internet research he had all his information.And because Taemin is Taemin he prepared the presentation and added all the information to it. So only some pictures are missing which he want to take in Daegu. So he prepared all for his class trip… and now he has to pack his bag.“Okay. Shirts… pants… boxer shorts... towel and another towel.” He counted all the things in his bag. He was absolute making sure that there are two towels. Since the incident after the sport lesson he learned much.He really doesn’t know exactly what was happening and tried to think about it. But on the other hand every time he thinks about the incident he felt himself bad. And want only forget this whole thing. He doesn’t want to know whether it’s true or false or if there is an excuse. Nothing could make all the years he got bullied away.And every time Taemin thinks about that incident… he thinks about Minho? Is he really gay? There are many rumors about his sexuality. One time they say he is gay and one moment later he’s straight. He had two girlfriends and they both talked about having sex with him…“No go out of my head.” He thought. But he drifted himself back again while packing the rest stuff in his bag. One of the girls talked about how their first time was and what they done… and that he has a really long one… but that all make him much more a show-off in Taemin’s eyes.One time he thought about asking him. While they worked on a project for English courses Minho and Taemin sat at the same table next to each other. For Taemin’s surprise Minho hadn’t tried to bully him one time. All he done was asking him for a ruler since he forgot his own.He could ask him if he is really gay since there are lots of comments and rumors. But for his safety he didn’t. One day later a boy from parallel class asked him and he beat him up so that he lied in hospital for two days. Nobody ever asked him anything.Only his best friend Jonghyun is allowed to ask anything. He is allowed to do all. He is his only real friend. Everybody Minho was good with turned him his back. So he was really alone. He knows Jonghyun since fourth class. He was new at the school and he was placed in front of Minho by the teacher. The first days Minho bullied him like everyone. But the next week was something different.Minho wasn’t on time in school. He never was late. He was one of the best students by the way so he could miss the whole day nothing would happen. And since he is the headmaster’s son he had to worry about nothing. But Jonghyun was missing as well.Two days both were missing and only god know where they were. But then they came back. And something really changed. This morning they had sport and Taemin, Kibum und Jinki were on the sports ground when a car hold in front of the school. Everyone knows this car. It’s the headmaster’s one. But for everyone’s surprise Jonghyun jumped out of the car followed by Minho.So maybe he is his brother? Or know them through their parents? Maybe Jonghyun parents are also important persons in association with school. That Taemin asked himself all the time. Until one day in summer.The school organized a summer festival for all students, teacher, family, friends and guests. So this was the only opportunity to find out some information about Minho and Jonghyun. And it was much easier then he thought. But it was something he could never believe. And it was dramatically by the way.The day before Jonghyun came in class first time, his mother died. So at the weekend was the funeral. But since his dad wasn’t interested in him and his mother and leaved them years ago he was alone only with his grandparents. But they were really old. This first day after school Jonghyun talked to Minho after the last lesson. Some students heard them talk in the room while all the others were headed outside going home.“What do you want? Why do you throw paper balls after me?” Jonghyun asked him with an angry voice. “I don’t know. It’s fun. You’re new so you have to learn how the rules of the life are.” Minho said with a smirk. Yes he was a bad brat in his young years too. But his smirked vanished really fast as Jonghyun who was by the way a little shorter but stronger then Minho put him and pressed him against the desks behind him.“I know how life is. YOU don’t have to tell me what the rules of life are. I lost something that nothing can bring back and you little one think you could make a fun on me?” After that Jonghyun rushed out of the room. But Minho followed as fast as possible.So he thought Minho’s parents adopted Jonghyun. And yes he was true. So Jonghyun is his adoptive brother. So that’s the reason why he isn’t with Minho around to feel cool and bully other ones. He has to…He was back in reality as heard his mother calling him. He headed to the kitchen and seated down for dinner. So this was the last time for one week he could enjoy his time without school. Now there are five days to survive the bully jungle. ~~~ “Good morning everyone” The teacher said while standing in front of the bus. “I got the list from Friday. There is one problem I think, Taemin?”Oh no. Don’t say I can’t work alone. I really don’t want anyone to work with. Please no. He thought.“You can’t work alone. This is a group exercise.” She said. “But I can handle it alone. I promise.” He said with and begged with his eyes. “Yes I know. But the point is not if you can handle or not. The point is the group work.” “But we’re an odd number of students. All groups are full.”The teacher went in silence and look on the list. Maybe I won this time. Taemin thoughts but he was false.“Then I’ll split one group. Jonghyun and Kyungsoo you work together and Minho works together with you Taemin.” … no
