Chapter 5: Just Like Old (1/1)

The next day, Moonbyul feels worse; black circle under her heavy and sleepy eyes, head ache and messiest mind she have in her entire life.Last night is a very long night for her. The time she arrive at her apartment, she saw Krystal, laying on her sofa, sleeping."This girl is really stubborn, she didn't listen to me." Moonbyul kneeled down infront of the sleeping figure and thinking if she just let her friend sleep there. But a nice Moonbyul appears and tried to wake up Krystal which almost impossible to happen."Soojung, get up and move to your bed." Seeing Krystal raised her hand in a childish way, Moonbyul knew that she making a request, just like when they were 10, just like old days."Carry me." Krystal groaned and still eyes closed.Since its already late and she wants to sleep too. Moonbyul didn't argue with her and just simply obliged what her sleepy friend wants. She squat down and Krystal almost automatically wraped her arms around Moonbyul's neck. She carried Krystal on her back until they reached the room which is just 5 meter away from the living room. Moonbyul is pretty strong in her appearance, tall and slightly thin. She lay Krystal down carefully so that she didn't disturbed Krystal's sleep.As soon as she lay Krystal down, she lightly stepped out of the room but a voice stopped her from doing it."You're not saying good night to me?" that words made Moonbyul turn and face krystal who is now looking at her. Just like old times, thought Moonbyul. She walked infront of Krystal and gave her a peck in her forehead and said,"Good night Soojungie."Moonbyul is now inside her room, wearing her pajamas. She is now looking at her room's white colored ceiling mindlessly, can't sleep. And she just now realized that she almost forget what happened between her and Solar. Maybe she is not just looking at the ceiling mindlessly because recalling the scenes happened that evening, her mind is a mess. She decided to go to the balcony to get some cool and relaxing air.Moonbyul went back again to her bed once she thought that her mind is at peace. She tried all the methods of 'How to fall asleep fast? that she search in her handphone; she tried those breathing something sh*t but it didn't work. She also thought of having sleeping pills but she doesn't want to risk her healthy body for that. She even drank three glasses of milk, and also counting jumping sheeps in her mind but it is cut of by the scenes after their practice. In the end, she just let her mind do whatever she wants to think to the point she succeed in falling to sleep.For now she doesn't want to go to school today, because she can't, she thinks didn't have enough energy to even write something to her notepad. But she can't think of a credible excuse; if she say that she is sick, for sure her brother will come here in no time and she didn't want her brother to be worried about her. Also she with Krystal overnight, she will suspected that she's just pretending. So in the end, she will go to school.She walked out at her room with heavy eyes that went notice by Krystal who is now in the kitchen making their breakfast. She wake up early, Moonbyul thought.After a few seconds of realization, she widened her not-so-long sleepy eyes because Krystal and the word kitchen in one sentence doesn't work or should we say strange."Ya-""Don't I won't burn your apartment. Its just cereal and simple hot choco."They take their breakfast and off they go. Unlike yesterday, they didn't see Solar on their way to school.Is she sick? It is the first question that Moonbyul ask her in her mind as they pass the gate where Solar usually wait."Byulie, are you okay? It seems like you don't enough sleep." Krystal asked full of concern and it makes the other girl guilty."I'm fine. Don't worry about me." Krystal just nod but she knows something's up. She just didn't want to bother some people's problem eventhough Moonbyul is not just 'some people' for her, more than that.Two figures, holding colorful papers, in their both hands, are running to approach them as soon as they enter the school's gate."Good morning Byul Unnie, Krystal." The duo said in chorus."Good morning too. Hwasa, Wheein." Krystal is the one who greeted first since the other one is busy looking of something - most likely someone."Something's up?" Hwasa asked Krystal but the latter just shrugged."Byul Unnie, you must looking for Yongsun Unnie she's in the gymnasium." Wheein said that makes Moonbyul to stop from looking and go to the gymnasium."Come on, go with us." Krystal gave Wheein a confused look."Don't worry there's no professors will bother us. Our department will help the Student Council in decorating and organizing the School's Music Festival. So hurry up. We don't want others to wait for us." Hwasa said and Krystal just nodded in understandin.The trio followed Byul in the gymnasium and greeted by some students - some are just fangirling over Moonbyul. There are students making streamers and some other decorations, stalls that they needed for the festival; some are practicing for their performance, everybody is busy. But four pair of eyes landed on the certain student assigning some fellow student to do some things they need to do. Commanding is her job today, as expected as a Vice President of the Student Council."Yongsun Unnie, here are the papers you need." The two bestfriends handed the stack of various colored papers.Solar, Vice President of the Student Council, is really doing her obligations when Moonbyul is not around. It's not that they claim each others responsibillity but they are a perfect combo for this school's Student Council. If one is absent, there's the other one to fill her abscence. In short, they work in harmony."We have to go now, there's too much work we need to do. Let's go Krystal, we need your help." Wheein said and with that the two officer left. One is standing akwardly, the other one is so busy looking the papers in her hands."Yong-" "Oh, Good Morning Byul, here are the files you need for the agreement for the amusement park that we will rent for a day. Wendy, gave that to me." Solar said and handed the papers to Moonbyul. Wendy is the Student Council Secretary."Good Morning too, Uu-um thanks." With that, Solar turn around and walked towards the long table where some officers are there. Moonbyul is now cluelees what's really happening. The way Solar acts earlier, it feels like there's nothing happened yesterday, like she's only just tired that time.And it makes Moonbyul smiles, maybe she's just tired that time. She is relieved that she's not sick.But she didn't notice that the person she just talked to is yawning in her place, also she didn't know that Solar is just like her, hiding black circles under her eyes and keeping her eyes from falling."Ms. President, you need to got to the field and the court to chack the decoration and stalls that they set up for tomorrow's festival." Wendy said. Moonbyul stand up while picking her needed stuff and proceed to the respective place need to go followed by Wendy. Leaving the other officers in their works."Ugh! Sometimes I just hate paperworks, this financial reports, especially when there's a big event going." Joy, the Student Council Treasurer groaned and stratche her almost numb finger just for typing her report."Live with it Joy." Seulgi, one of the Student Council Business Manager said to the complaining Joy. They are always like that, complainning about something but they did it afterwards. Eventhough they complain, they make sure that they did their part in this Organization.But there's one quiet officer, just typing endlessly in her laptop."Yongsun, you looked tired. Are still you okay?" Irene, one of her closest friends also one of the Student Council Business Manager. She keeps asking that question to Solar this whole morning and Solar is just also saying the same thing over again."Don't worry Joohyun, I'm fine." Just like Solar, Joohyun is Irene's real name."Here take some medicine, it will make you better." Her friend handed her a small white colored tablet. Maybe it will make her feel better."Thank you." She get the medicine in her friend's hand and taking it after she take her lunch.They continue their work, some students are running around, walking, decorating; some of the officers are just back and forth in their table getting something and leave again. It continues for the next two hours until they here the bell rings signalling that it lunch time.The officers stretches their bodies and as if on cue, Moonbyul is walking towards them together with Krystal holding two boxes of pizza and three boxes of fried chicken."Guys, here's our lunch." Moonbyul exclaimed that makes the tired officers get their treat from the president."Here's the beverages." Wheein and Hwasa walked towards the table holding the cold drinks; three bottles of cola and three bottles of water."Yongsun-ah, here take this." Moonbyul held Solar a plate of once slice of pizza and two pieces of chicken. She knows how Solar loves chicken but not only her."Give me back my chicken!" Hwasa yelled at a certain guys holding two drumsticks in his hands."There's more in there." Onew, the guy who stole Hwasa's chicken reason out."But-""Hyejin, just eat there's more chicken coming." Moonbyul said, like she knows this is going to happen. And with that, the two chicken lovers looked at each other eyes sparkling, with the thought of their beloved friend chicken is coming.On the other hand, Solar is just eating her food silently infront of her laptop. looking some document she needs to finish this day.But her laptop is blocked by a certain long haired brunette."Yongkong ah, just eat first, just leave your work first. You're also looked so tired." Moonbyul said or more like command that Solar obeyed.Solar just let herself be with Moonbyul that time, just like old times. They teased each other, making fun of each other, they even joined thir friends' game. They took their time just to feel relaxed because they all know that once the bell rings again, they will go back to work - hell, full of work.Solar didn't forget to take her medicine that makes her a little sleepy, but this time she let herself sleep in her place, laying her head sideways in the table, while the other students just do their work quietly so they didn't bother Solar's deserved sleep.Whole afternoon, Solar is deep asleep and now Moonbyul positioned herself beside Solar and also lay her head down facing Solar's beautiful and angelic face. Her hands reached her face tracing the incredible human being infront of her."Yeba~ My Yeba~ wake up now." Solar groaned and slowly opened her eyes. She smiled at the sight of Moonbyul infront of her, smiling at her, only at her. She felt a hand touching her face that when she realize that its not a dream. She immediately sit properly and lowered her head which is now a tint of pink in her cheeks, maybe in embarassment."What are you doing here?" Solar asked once she gained herself together after their close up."It's already time to go home.""Ooohh, wait, what?! I forget about my report!" Solar panickly opens her laptop but stopped in midway once Moonbyul told her that she already did it."You seem so tired, so I didn't wake you up and do it for you instead." Moonbyul genuinely said.1 point Solar! (A/N: its a tie! Sorry for being extra.)"Thanks, Byul.""You better go home now, I saw your driver earlier at the parking lot.""What about you? You don't want to take a ride?" Solar asked Moonbyul, eventhough she knows that Moonbyul will reject it."Thanks but no thanks. I want to walk." Moonbyul smiled at her best friend because she knows that Solar wouldn't insist. just like when there in middle school. Moonbyul always rejects Solar when she asked her to ride in her car when they go home. Moonbyul prefered walking since her apartment is just walking distance from the school."ooh okay by the way thanks again."They exited together in the gymnasium and separate their way in the hallway as Solar walked towards to the parking lot while Moonbyul walked opposite way walking towards the school gate. Solar keep her eyes to Moonbyul as she reached the gate and she noticed that there's another figure waiting for her.Maybe she wants to walk with her."Sorry for waiting Krystal." Moonbyul said. Eventhough there have a great distance to each other, that enough fer her to hear cheerful yet guilty voice coming out in her mouth.But she keep herself walking towards the parking lot with this feelings again.----------------------------------------------------------Late Update!
