Stupidity and Pride, Chapter 25: Hana's Finally Happy Ending... Maybe NotThe long awaited day finally came: the school festival. Students roamed around the school facilities in search of interesting stuff, booths, and some were simply pigging out. Teachers were busy preparing food to sell and other students, who are hard-working, prepared for their booths or stalls; a way of earning money.You and your friends just roamed around looking for something exciting.Suddenly, Key exclaimed, “HORROR BOOTH!”His voice was loud enough or you to go deaf. You looked at him and made a face.Ignoring you, he asked, “Who’s with me?”The group erupted with a ‘yes’ except for two people-Hana and Onew. The group eyed them suspiciously wanting to know why they don’t want to come.“I-I need t-to call s-someone," Hana stuttered as she thought of a believable excuse.“I’m eating chicken,” Onew partially and smoothly lied.The group’s eyes narrowed into slits as they looked deep in Hana’s and Onew’s souls. Not finding an answer, the group headed for the horror booth.Being Hana’s best friend, you knew her very well. You knew that she was lying. Before leaving completely, you gave her a knowing gaze and a wink, a message for "this is your chance."The truth is Hana isn’t calling anyone; she’s afraid of horror booths, end of story. Meanwhile for Onew, it was the other case. He loved Horror booths. Even though he always trip because it’s dark, he still loved them. Truthfully speaking, in or out of horror booth, he always tripped.The reason why Onew didn’t leave with the others was because he didn't want Hana to be alone. He knew that her fear of horror booths and decided to be with her. Why he chose to stay with her, he didn't know himself. Maybe out of friendliness?To others, it maybe a flaw, but for Hana, it was one of his assets; that’s just love, right? When you love someone, in your eyes, he’s always perfect.The two remained there not moving, not speaking, or anything, really. Her heartrate sped up as soon as she realized that the group left them.He quickly glanced at her whenever he could, debating with himself to speak or just remain silent.After a long moment that felt like twenty years, he decided to speak, “Want to eat chicken?”“S-sure.” He took the lead and she tailed behind him. Behind all those many people around them, it was as if there are only the both of them and a deafening silence ensued.Out of the blue, she asked, “What if there was a girl you love; who would you chose, chicken or the girl?”He stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder at her for a moment, wondering why she suddenly asked out of the blue. He then returned his gaze to the path ahead of them and continued walking as if she never spoke. Thinking that maybe he didn't want to talk to her, her shoulders deflated and her heart sank. Maybe he just asked me to eat with him out of kindness, but he really doesn’t want me here. I know you guys are angry at me for not updating for weeks, but I hope you guys understand. I'm really busy at school. (My section really suck~! Sometimes, (truth is, most of the time) all I want to say is 'GO TO HELL AND ROT IN THERE. I HOPE YOU MEET LUCIFER.
