Stupidity and Pride, Chapter 18: Well-Concealed EmotionsIt was dismissal time. You and your friends, Hana and the kingkas, walked to the huge black gates. There you bade your goodbyes to each other and seperated ways. The only ones left in front of the gates were you, Minho and Taemin. Taemin and Minho settled their eyes on you. ''Can you go home first?'' Minho asked Taemin.''Why? We just live in the same house, we should go home together. Mrs. Yeun will be mad at me if I leave her daughter," the younger replied.''I'll give Aunty a phone call, don't worry. We're just going somewhere. I'll take her home afterwards," said Minho. Actually, you wanted to go with Minho, but you didn't want to leave Taemin, either. Taemin sent you a questioning look and you nodded in confirmation.Taemin walked away and looked back. I guess the couple needs some time alone. With a heavy heart, he walked away.You looked at Minho, "What do you want?''''Do you still love Taemin?'' he asked. His eyes expressed genuine seriousness. His question and intense gaze caused your heart to beat faster. I'm feeling it again, the feeling of having a heart attack. Isn't this one of the symptoms, in the drama, when the girl is in love? Does this mean I'm in love with Minho? But I'm happy when I'm with Taemin, You deeply thought, looking for an answers to your questions. It wasn't that you weren't happy when you were with Minho, you just felt more relaxed and comfortable around Taemin.''I-I don't know," you stuttered and looked down at your new polished shoes.''What do you mean by 'I don't know?'" His gaze never softened, making you feel naked in his eyes. Feeling uneasy, you replied, ''I'm confused.''He noticed your uneasiness and decided to changed the topic. He didn't like it when you were scared or uneasy around him. He wanted you to be comfortable.''I just realized something today that will turn my life upside down.'' he smiled. After that day, I was thinking about it. I think I'm falling for you, Haneul-ah. But then, I know Taemin loves you and I don't want to hurt him. I will just enjoy the time I have you and willingly return you to Taemin when he comes back to take what rightfully is his. Confused, you ask, ''Huh? What are you talking about?''''Nothing. Do you want to eat? I'll cook for you," he flashed a charming smile again.''Really?! You know how to cook?! Oh and you seem to be smiling a lot lately," you smiled back and began to relax. He laughed at your sudden change of mood. ''And you laugh, too.''I like it when you're like that, being yourself, and just showing the real you. I smile and laugh, thanks to you. I wonder what will happen if you leave, I don't think I'll even be able to fake a smile. His thoughts continued as he smiled at you, though downcast inside at the thought of you leaving him. He bore the pain of having feelings for you while you had no assumption of such, though he wasn't the only one. Taemin was also suffering. I seemed to update a lot lately. Yesterday, 2 chapters, 2 chapters again today. :) Should I end this fic soon? I think it's getting boring because it's too long. I think my story is not having any progress. :(
