Missing them.. (1/1)
Author's POVThe sky has darkened and twilight is approaching. There was a light traffic on the roads now. As Athenna waits for the light to turn green, her mind wondered. Wondered to what had almost happen not 10 minutes ago. Just as she managed to get her self under control images of Soo Hyuk's face appears in her mind. Man that person can really kiss she said to herself. Thank god her legs didn't give way during her escape. For that is what it was...an escape and she knew she was being cowardly. It is bothering her how much of a coward she is. While she is being honest with herself, she can admit that crossing that line terrified her. The thought of going through another serious relationship scares her shitless. Trusting a man is just hard. She had boyfriends after her ordeal of course, but those men are not a threat to her heart and she knew she was safe from being hurt by them. Soo Hyuk howeverer is another story. Athenna sighed and a sound of a horn shook her out of her inner monologue. She put the car in gear and headed home. As she entered her unit, her phone rang. She fished it out of her hoody's pocket and looked at the name displayed there, "Soo Hyuk". She cancelled the call and about 2 minutes later the phone let out the notification sound. Somebody had sent her a message. "Rest well honey. Dream of me - Soo Hyuk". She switched her phone off and tossed it on the couch. Oh god what am I gonna do with this? I cant very well escape him indefinitely she thought to herself. She decided to leave the problem for later and took a long hot shower. Her muscles protest a bit from the recent abuse but she felt good. Finishing she lathered her body with lotion before slapping skin care products on her face. She decided to just leave her hair wet and padded over to the closet. She put on her comfy fleece sleep pants with a mickey mouse t-shirt. Feeling alive again, she headed to the kitchen to feed her growling tummy. She proceeded to prepare some rice, soup, stir fried veggie and a piece of salmon to be grilled. Once done she turned on the tv for company. As she was eating, her house phone rang. She ignored it and continued to eat. Than there was a loud banging on the door accompanied by some one persistently ringing the bell. As she walked to the foyer she can hear L. Joe's voice on the other side. "Noona noona!! Nana Noona!! Are you there? Are you alive? I saw your car so I know you are there. Open up!!". She rolled her eyes and open the door. There standing with a bag is L Joe grinning wide. He brushed by her and breeze into the house. "Well come in than" she said sarcastically. As she walked in she saw him taking a plate and helping himself to some rice. By the time she sat down he was already spooning up some veggie into his plate. Athenna raised my eyebrows and said "Didn't they feed you at the dorm?". He just grunted and continued eating. They ate in silence accompanied by the television. Although they are cousins, they were raised more like siblings hence their relationship is one that demonstrate that too. Athenna finished eating first and left L Joe to finish up the food. "Noona cooked so you do the dishes k" Athenna said. "Yeh madam" he said. She turned off the tv and head to the grand baby piano that was her mother's. She lifted up the cover and tap a few notes on it. Missing her mother more than any other today, she sent a prayer to her and sat down on the stool mom you are well right? hows daddy? he must be eating a lot of the bluberry cheese tarts huh....i miss you so much mummy. today i wish you are here. i have a lot of questions u know. i am confuse mummy. As she sent her prayers a tear fell down her cheeks. She than started to play the notes to the song A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton while singing the lyrics softly..gently as if she is singing it to her mother."A Thousand Miles"
Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces pass
And I'm home bound
Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through the crowd
And I need you
And I miss you
