This Little Town (1/1)

As he left his room to go hang out with his friend Onew, Jonghyun took in the sights of the outside world. He lived in a small house in the city before moving to this small town which is located next to a vast growing forest. The animals of the forest, sometimes, enter the town just to smell the new territory that was claimed by humans. The animals were hardly, ever, a threat to the town they minded their own business, just like their two-legged ancestors. Once he met up with Onew, they went to a little café for some breakfast. Chatting happily, Jonghyun looked out the window and observed the forest. The café was located at the edge of town where forest was the majority population. Compared to the bustling city, this town was peaceful, calm, and quiet the people were kind and friendly. Jonghyun liked it a lot more than the city. “your coffee sir” the waitress said bringing Jonghyun and Onew their coffee and breakfast. The said boys thanked the waitress and ate their food. “Did you hear? The village in the plains, near the mountains, was attacked.” Onew said taking a sip of his coffee. Jonghyun looked up from his omelet and shook his head “no, was I supposed to know about it?” Onew chuckled “that village is our only close neighbors and most of our exported goods are from there” “eh?! Really?!” Jonghyun said, suddenly becoming interested. “What attacked them?” he asked. Onew shrugged “don’t know, but there are 10 people wounded and 11 deaths” he said staring out the window. Jonghyun, also, looked out the window even though Onew’s brought him on edge a little he still loved this little town that he called home.
